Description

We live on 5.5 wonderful, wooded acres that used to be a working farm with three pastures. The sniff spot is located between the house and the barn in old pasture one. It is fully fenced and wooded, providing shade in summer and exploring options for pups. We also have a tractor trail running past the barn into pastures 2 and 3. You are welcome to walk your dog on the trail. Please note these areas are only partially fenced. We have a barn cat, chickens, and an old hound dog, so please keep your dog under control either with a traditional leash or an e-collar when not in the Sniffspot. Our backyard is fenced for our critters and separate, though visible, from the Sniffspot. Please also note that this is a very rural property. While we work hard to maintain it, we do have bugs, ants, mosquitos, poison ivy (leaves of three let them be), branches that break, squirrels, deer, hawks, etc. Closed-toed shoes are recommended, as is mosquito repellent. We do spray for poison ivy when we find it. We provide chairs, water and sticks for the pups, and a trash can for waste. There is a John Deere windmill at the entrance to our lane. To access the Sniffspot, drive past the house and the quilt shop until you see the fire pit. You can park by the fire pit or the Sniffspot gate. We hope you enjoy your playtime! With over 7 acres of fully fenced area , your dog will definitely have a great time exploring. Perfect for reactive dogs to have a safe and secluded area to roam around. Tons of open space and shade for the summer days or a a nice walk during the chilly fall/winter season. Take a seat and enjoy our resting fire pit area with shade and a water bowl is provided for your pets ( They will be tired out after all the roaming!) Toys and dog poop bags are included. Not only will your dog love this park but owners will also have a peaceful time. HOW TO GET THERE: Entrance to park is a bit hidden but will be located on the right side facing the house. I have a photo showing the entrance on the listing. Parking area will be passing down the field close to the pavilion or you can simply leave the car parked at the main entrance. Make sure to close main gate once inside to sure complete enclosure of the park. THINGS TO NOTE PLEASE READ: Although park is completely fenced, the second part of the park passing the red gate does have barb wires and large gaps that escape artist can wonder off too. Backstory: My best friend Scooby took an early trip to dog heaven so he never got a chance to play in the land now dedicated to him. His younger brother Koko and Lukas definitely have a blast when they roam Scooby's Dog park. With every visit, I just know that Scooby is welcoming all dogs that come through the gate. He was the most friendly dog and best friend anyone could ask for ( just didn't like to be messed with when he would eat ). Although I couldn't have that experience with my Scooby, I hope you have a peaceful and playful time as you visit Scooby's Dog Park.
