55Amazing! If your dogs love adventure, this property is wonderful!
55This place is a real gem!! I’ve been a few times and every time feels like the first. There is always something new to explore! As fall and winter approach, accessing land outside of the trail gets easier! I’ve been wearing bibs so I haven’t had an issue really exploring!!! If the dogs weren’t so whooped we would be there a few times a week!!! Beautiful property for the owners to share with us and our dogs. Very private, very peaceful and so much fun!!!
55OKAY!!!! We were there for three hours and it just didn’t feel long enough. There is so much to explore!!! The river, tall grasses, untamed land where nature is just doing its own thing. I felt like I was in a Missouri State Park. Woofie is truly a wild dog so being able to take him here was such an amazing experience. I honestly could not say enough good things about the host and the property. Owner is very open and honest about the property, clear instructions and very communicative with anything I asked or needed. As soon as the dogs are well rested and ready we will be back 💗💗 (Wear a good pair of shoes, I wore hiking boots) There is a trail leading quite some way but does end into brush this time of the year!!! (Which was our favorite part)

Our dog will be contained inside. Depending on your length of stay I may have to walk her to potty on a leash. You won’t see us if you’re down the trail head, but if you’re near your car you might. We try to be as reclusive as possible.

We have chickens. 90% of the time they will be contained, but now and then we free range them. We avoid free ranging during your visit, but sometimes it’s hard to get everyone back in from the day before. Note if you are down the trail head you won’t see them but may hear a rooster crow.

Our neighborhood is quite, but we do live on site and you may see us coming and going. We might be in the garden or messing with the chickens. You’re welcome to say hello, but we understand if you prefer your privacy and we will not approach. If you’re down the trail head you will not be able to see or hear us.

Once entering the gravel driveway you’ll come across the sign on a chair with fall foliage welcoming you to the spot. That chair marks the trail head that leads you down to a more private area. You’ll be able to see our house and chicken pen from the top of that trail, but once you venture down it’s completely private. If you don’t want to see the house or other animals you can venture into the woods on the left before you get to the trail. It’s raw land though. Because we’re on a bluff the water drains down and you can see where it’s made it’s own areas sometimes.

Description

The Woodland Bluffs. 30 acres private land off big river. Start you and your furry friends journey down the trail where you can see different shelves off the bluff. Don’t worry the trail is rocky but wide enough for a tractor. As you come to the bottom of the trail it flattens out with beautiful trees that stretch all the way to the river banks. The river changes this area frequently as it usually floods with heavy rains, so your second trip could be a whole new adventure. The bluff blocks the area at the bottom so it’s just you, your furry friend, trees and a river. Small cave is somewhere on the property. Grass is not maintained. Sometimes it will be long and sometimes not. Some Fourwheeler trails are found throughout the bottom flat area. Lots of large rocks and downed trees make this a great training area. The river may be up or down. The lower flat area does not typically flood unless there is flash flooding going on. If you’re concerned about this for your trip just reach out. We can let you know how the river is looking. Once you head down the trail the house and road will not be visible. Across the river the banks are fairly high, they do have cows on that side of the river. You may hear or see them from time to time. The hike down is rocky and the hike back up is fairly steep, but the views are worth it and change with every season. Hope to see your adventure pictures soon. Thanks for visiting.

K9 Corner - Private Dog Run in Webster Groves

This is a privately owned empty residential lot (not a backyard) however there is a neighbor next to the property with a driveway in between. Property is a “pie shape” approximately 2,000 sqft. Fenced section is approximately 130’L with one end at 30’W and the other end at 6’. Entrance is at the corner of Atalanta Avenue and Glen Road. Street parking is on Glen Road (long fence side). The city does not allow signs (see photos for more clarification). This is a residential neighborhood; you will most likely see other people and dogs during your visit but not in the park with you. This is a self regulated private dog park / dog run similar to a regular dog park. There is not water on site however a bowl will be left on site (typically inside the toy box to keep it clean). A pet waste station is available along with a “used” poop bag bucket, trash receptacle, and some dog toys. Please remember to clean up after your dogs, put away toys, and throw away trash. Pesticide free - consider bringing bug spray. To keep moles away, mole spikes that vibrate in the ground are in use and you can hear a buzzing noise. The sand pit / tire area is for digging - please try to keep all digging isolated to the designated area only and try to fill in any holes dug by your dog outside of the pit area. Sun sail is up during spring/summer months only - that’s what the poles are for - no climbing please (currently the sun sail is not being used per the city requests). Patio umbrellas can be lifted up (use crank) during your visit and MUST BE RETRACTED and use the secure strap at the end of your visit (please use common sense and do not put the umbrellas up if it’s super windy). There is a 5 dog max. We prefer no more than 3 humans to 1 dog. If you are considering a dog birthday party or larger social meetup, please contact us before booking. We are also open to happy hour social gatherings, yoga, painting, and other type of events; please contact us to discuss. Please note. This park is for dogs to enjoy. This park is NOT a playground for kids/adults. The obstacles, agility equipment, and toys are for the dogs. Humans should not be climbing on the equipment or mis-using the toys. The neighbor does not want toys or tennis balls hitting their vehicles. If we see this type of behavior or rules not being followed, you will potentially be banned from future reservations. *Please understand this is mostly a self-regulated dog run/park. You MUST cleanup after your dog. However sometimes poop gets missed and I give everyone the benefit of the doubt it’s not done intentional. We want all visitors to have a great experience at K9 Corner.* **This spot is not a business to make money for profit. All proceeds are considered donation for upkeep of the dog run, lawn maintenance, dog toys, etc. If you have questions/comments/concerns, please text 314-384-2279.**
