55This place is perfect for pups of all shapes and sizes!!! Also bonus for the River view!!! I brought my toddlers and they were obsessed with the stepping mechanism shooting out water for doggies! We can't wait to come back soon!!!
55This is going to be long so I apologize, but my First sniff spot experience was fantastic so this review is well deserved. First Morgan was extremely fast in her responses when I had a few questions. She was extremely welcoming. The day of she messaged me that she left some towels and water out for my pups along with a water dish. There was also nice little Informational binder for us as well. I will be honest, I had the “oh it must look bigger in photos” thoughts when I first saw photos, but nope it’s huge! There was so much room for my guys to run around without feeling as though they had no place to run. There was so much for them to smell and look at. They were busy and entertained for the 30 minutes we were there and honestly I’m sure we could have stayed the full hour with them still running around! I don’t think they laid down for more then a few seconds before they were off on another adventure. I tried to get so many photos and videos of them playing, but honestly they were just so busy I couldn’t keep track of where they were! One was in a pool, the other was running around, and the last was in the back watching the trains go by! I paid a little extra to have a pool and let me tell you that was a hit! She also left out a little splash pad which was thoughtful! The pool was clean with clean water. Definitely worth the little extra money especially on a hot day. This was a fantastic experience and we will 100% be back.
55So much fun on a hot day!
55Easy to find, huge fenced in area! If your dog loves to run, this is the place to go. Mostly sunny but there is a canopy and bench for shade. Beautiful view of CT river. Will definitely be visiting again!
55We loved this spot! So much open space, beautiful view of the river, and the pups loved the splash pad. Will definitely be back!
55I was watching my sisters dog and also brought him here and he loved it!!
55My little one loved it! He sniffed his little heart out. The yard was very clean and mowed at a good length. Very easy to find if you follow instructions. My little guy loved the area near the train track ( he preferred wood/ tall grass) train only went by once while we were there. Check prince for tick after and didn’t find any. We will definitely be coming back!
55The nicest sniff spot owners with the most amazing yard. They truly go above and beyond for their guests. 10/10 recommend!!
55What a wonderful spot! Beautiful clean yard in a nice neighborhood with lots of space to run and explore. Secure fencing, fun equipment for the dogs, and comfortable seating for the humans. We had a great time. Thank you so much!
55My first foray into Sniffspot. Sadly I got there late due to an accident/ traffic jam, and when I got there, it was a little confusing because there is a mailbox on the side of the road with the number 10 clearly marked on it on the the road indicated by the address, however it is for the road perpendicular /as it is a corner house - so now I wasted more time trying to figure out where I was supposed to be. I reached out to owner via the app. Morgan was very prompt in answering my message and letting me know her location is on the cul de sac. So we got 40 minutes . My dogs liked it. There are dog neighbors, they stay pretty far back- but be aware they are yappers. Trains went past 2 x during my stay. My dogs were only mildly surprised by it. I would come again. Property seemed maintained well. It felt like a safe environment. I would let the yappers and the trains dissuade you from checking this place out, unless your dog is ultra sensitive.

Hound Hill Rustic 1 Acre Fenced Private Dog Park in West Avon

Find us on Facebook! Search: Hound Hill, 1 acre fenced private dog park in West Avon Hound Hill is a fully fenced one acre wooded doggy paradise. We have our own pack of four dogs and created this space for them. They use the large yard daily but will always be secured inside the house for the entirety of your visit. Hound hill is an unimproved wooded area, but we have cleared brush, leaves and sticks for easier walking and playing with your dog. Our fence is mesh critter fence which is wildlife friendly for the deer, bears, bobcats and other animals that travel through our property. If you are looking for a large space for fetch or just to let your dog explore then this is the place! Please note that the dog park is on a hill and there are no paved or flat areas within the park. It is recommended that you wear good shoes with traction and are comfortable walking through an unimproved wooded area. There are rocks, sticks, leaves and uneven terrain. If you have physical limitations this park may be very difficult for you to use. When you arrive please take time to walk the fence line with your dog on leash first to ensure the fence is intact. Due to the nature of critter fencing and the abundance of wildlife, we have had occasional breaks caused by deer and bear as well as branches that have fallen. If you spot any issue please message the host and they will immediately address the issue. We love this fence because it does not entangle the wild animals and is very easy to repair. This means we have to inspect it often, and we do, but for the safety of all we encourage each doggie chaperone to do their own visual inspection before allowing dogs free rein. We do treat the area with cedar oil for ticks. We do not use any herbicides or pesticides or fertilizer. Please pull all the way into the drive and park in the gravel spot to the left of the garage. There is marked parking for one vehicle. If you have additional vehicles please park the second vehicle in the culdesac and walk in. Do not block the garage doors. Enter and exit through the gate directly in front of the parking spot. Please do not use the gate on the other side of the lot for any reason. Please do not use the smaller fenced area directly off the back of the house. Please pick up after your dog. Removal of dog waste is imperative in order for us to continue to offer this spot. Thank you so much for visiting, I love seeing our clients and their dogs enjoy themselves so much while playing freely!
