35There was no sign marking the entrance but we did find it according to the site description. The yard and entrance to it are quite steep. The yard is big enough you run around and throw a ball. We did not find water or a disposal container and did not want to search because this is very much a private yard.
55Boone loves it here!
55Great location. Dogs had fun exploring. Space was private and easily accessible
55It was really nice! Lots of area to explore, and a lovely view. Ended up going on a hot day, and there is limited shade, is the only thing to be aware of.
55I wasn’t feeling good so ended up not going and went to the hospital instead where I found out I have a huge tumor. So needless to say I can’t leave a review other than the houses in that neighborhood as my son said were like in a dystopian world and it was kinda creepy.
55Very good set up and a great spot to sit and enjoy the sun!
55The hosts were very friendly! My dog loved their yard. 💕
45Nice little spot with secure fencing. Low barking from small dog inside could be heard, but it was muted through the glass doors, and my reactive dog didn't seem to mind. I was hoping the yard would be bigger for long ball throws, but it sufficed. We did have an incident with a cat, where my dog jumped down to the bottom of the tiered area to chase it along the fence. The cat got away, luckily (it seemed older and a little slow), but I had to lift my dog up to get him out of there as it was too bushy and prickly for him to walk out. It would have been nice to have a sign on the fence for first-timers to assure us we're in the right place. A water bowl outside would be a nice addition as well. All in all, a good, reliable place to let your dog run around.
55Great place for my dog to run!
55Another lovely day at this spot!

Jasper Memorial Sanctuary Reopening Soon

**Finally, Jasper Memorial Sanctuary is ready to host dogs. The recovery of this area following the January storm has been extensive. Please be mindful of the scope of the damage and tread lightly to allow the land to recover. As new trees and shrubs are planted in the fall, please ensure that they are not damaged by dogs. There will be ongoing logging on most weekdays on our property and adjacent neighbor's property. I will keep the Sanctuary closed during some of this time as the logger brings his dog to work. The cost to recover/rebuild Jasper Memorial Sanctuary was extensive. Material costs were over $5000. Labor costs, had I hired all the hours worked, are over $15,000. The price increase for utilizing the Sanctuary is small in comparison to the expenses incurred from the loss. Thank you to all my amazing guests who have given your dog(s) opportunity to find their calm within by visiting Jasper Memorial Sanctuary. It is amazing to see your dogs and you finding your inner peace. Thank you too for following all of the rules to keep this SS sustainable into the future. The fee set is the amount needed to allow me to keep this site open and provide improvements when needed. (I understand other sites charge less, but I've learned charging less is not financially sustainable. Hosts do not earn what they charge). I love hosting new and returning guests. RECENT IMPROVEMENTS/RESTORATION: Approximately 80 damaged/downed trees removed. 40 uprooted stumps ground out 340' of new 5' fencing installed 140' fencing repaired New entrance gate/location created 100s perhaps 1000s of poison oak dug out (it's still present, just fewer) Culvert installed at entrance with gravel path to gate New signs installed A 6'x6' sand box has been added. Please encourage digging in this location only. Discourage digging in all other locations for the safety of everyone. A poop bag dispenser has been installed on a post near the gate and will be kept filled. MEMBERSHIP AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST to repeat/returning guests after we have met. Please message me if interested. Jasper Memorial Sanctuary, named in memory of my soul dog Jasper, is no larger than 1.3 acres in and fully fenced.
