55My girls all loved it. The paths were wide and well cared for and even my Border Collie who's obsessed with the chuck it sniffed and explored the entire time. We'll definitely be back

55This was a super nice for my puppy! There was so much room to run around and smell. I did end up keeping her on a lunge line because she is still very young. This is a really great spot to use for training as well! Plenty of different smells and noise to help with call commands!

we have vizslas, and there will be barking, but we'll try to minimize it. if dogs are in the kennel building, there will be barking when you first arrive and when you're leaving, as it's my dogs wanting to run. the new entrance is installed, and using this will minimize the barking as much as possible. if most of the activity happens from the entrance point to the benches at the far end of the field, the barking should stay at a minimum, or at least subside faster. the fences for my kennel and house are separated from the field by a 150' buffer and privacy screens.

The neighbors across the road have 2 dogs who may bark, and they have goats fenced in across the road. The dogs in our kennel will bark when you're near the main entrance. They will not be visible. The neighbor's goats or chickens may be visible across the street. We might have dogs out in the separate yard attached to the house, but once you're in the field and park in the correct location, they will not be close to the sniffspot fence. The same with the dogs in the kennel.

**** We are open for guests all through the holiday seasons, on all of the holidays! *** The neighbors shouldn't be visible from the area, and any work we're doing will be up near the house and kennel, and shouldn't be visible once you're parked. Due to the high fire risk, we ask that there be no smoking (of anything) in the field by guests. We limit each dog to 2 vehicles. please add "extras" for each vehicle over 2 per dog. We want to encourage gathering of friends and their dogs, but 5 cars to one dog puts too much strain on our habitat. We can accommodate more dogs or earlier times by prior arrangement. we have had 11 dogs at 6am for someone on their way to nationals. We set it up at least 12 hours ahead of time. so let us know if you need something outside of our normal hours.

Description

20 acres enclosed with 4' high woven wire fence, a mix of open field and heavy woods, sometimes turkey, grouse, gophers, and bunnies, lots of "sniff therapy"! Private entrance is shaded with easy access right onto the wooded trails! The portapotty and dog rinse station are located in the parking area. We have bug sprays and poop bags at the entrance and the far end of the field for you to use if needed. Special visitation hours or larger groups may be available under prior arrangement. Shoot us a message, and we can usually make larger groups or people traveling to/from dog competitions happen! For those traveling, we might also be able to accommodate visits outside of our normal hours. ***now that we have freezing temps at night, we are not leaving water out in the field.***

***While we try to keep trails cleared, there's only so much we can do when we're dealing with the aftermath of repetitive winter storms and massive amounts of tree damage. Please use common sense and enjoy the other portions of the fenced 20 acres we've made available for you to use. *** ****PLEASE KEEP DOGS ON LEASH AT ALL TIMES WHEN YOU'RE GOING TO AND FROM THE CAR TO THE FENCED AREA. It's come to our attention that there's been several instances of dogs visiting different neighbors, and that can't happen. The 23 acres inside the fence is a mix of 16 acres of wooded trails and 7 acres of grass field with mowed paths, so expect sticks, branches and bugs, maybe bunnies and squirrels and an occasional deer. Definitely expect unlevel/uneven footing in places. Depending on the weather, you may need bug spray.

Golf Cart $35 Our gas powered golf cart will be ready for you in the field upon your arrival. Navigate our field and trails on our 2-person golf cart. Requires 24 hours advance notice.

Use of the Sniffspot space and parking for up to 30 total dogs (10 over the current max of 20 dogs) and up to 15 cars total parking. This fee covers the length of the single visit.

Please take all trash with you, we do have a trash can near the gate for you to leave your used poop bags. The gates only open to the INSIDE of the Sniffspot. Do not force them if you meet resistance, it damages the hinges and alignment. NO SMOKING outside of your vehicle. Please keep dogs leashed until you're inside the fenced area.

It's a great property that we set up for our dogs that others can enjoy! Michel has been showing and field trialing with her Vizslas for decades and bought the property so she would have her own private area to exercise her dogs, and recently penned the best selling book Raised by Vizslas A Collection of Random Thoughts, Opinions and Ramblings On How to Live With Vizslas! Mark joined her in 2018 and is the one who puts the hours into maintaining the property and is the one bringing the private dog park idea to fruition! He has many ideas to implement in the coming years!
