55This sniffspot was absolutely amazing. The drive up is beautiful and the directions Tauna provided are perfect. The paddock was clean and secure and we were able to let our three large dogs off leash. The paddock had fresh water for our dogs, balls and a chuck-it. We don't take our dogs to dog parks so this was such a great opportunity for our dogs to run in a large space. We will definitely be returning regularly.
55Hard to find, google map took us completely out of the way. Sigh. But we found it. Not the best for our reactive dog since the horses were close to this paddock. Ended up being a training session for her.
55Great place! Beware lots of horse poop and horses on site!
55We had the greatest time here with our dog! The parking is very close to the paddock entrance and the space itself is full of trees, logs, stumps and other great things for dogs to smell. It is beautiful, too! Most of the fencing is very secure, there is one area that was lower that some big dogs may be able to jump over. The gate where you enter should be secured tightly with the chain after you go in because your dog may be able to push it open and slip through the gap if there is too much slack on the chain. I kept my dog on a long line because he likes to jump over and nose through gates and fences, which we are working on. We could see horses and one woman working with the horses while we were there and my dog enjoyed seeing the horses, running around, and most of all sniffing everything!
55This is was an absolute great getaway treat for both of us! Sunny, shady fenced and very peaceful. My doggie is fear reactive around other dogs, so this was a great space to run, play and sniff-without "off leash" unexpected threats. I totally recommend!
55Just as described!
45All 3 dogs loved it. The 2 little ones got out under the gate, which is where the chairs are. They came back easily enough but were excited to meet some chickens!
55Good spot, plenty of space for the doggies to run around, it’s quite dusty but we did not mind, you can see the horses, hens and people working around, good experience for the pups.
55Great location! Directions provided were spot on and very easy to follow. Our dogs had a blast. We saw some horses and the host from afar which provided a great opportunity for training. The fence was super secure (my 40lb dog definitely could not escape through the fencing). Would definitely visit again.
45Awesome place and a great amount of space! Just beware of the large amounts of horse poop and it’s very dusty so wear the correct shoes. Overall awesome place my dog loved it. Thanks

i have a male english shepherd. he is friendly, especially with females, but unless you and your dog would like a playmate, i will keep him inside our house during your visit. most of our neighbors have dogs that occasionally bark, but cannot be seen from the space.

horses will be in a separate paddock for any booked visit. we have house cats that aren't likely to be nearby, and a feral barn cat that is rarely seen. we have a small flock of roosters that free-range around the space, but they're pretty smart about staying away from strange dogs. i ask that you keep your dog(s) on leash from parking area to the reserved paddock. thanks!

Description

Loamy, sandy soil that can get muddy after a big rain and dusty in the dry season. Note: If you are looking for a clean space that is more like a city park or landscaped backyard, this isn't that. There is horse manure in the space - sometimes a little, sometimes a lot. This is a ranch. Your dog will get dirty and may find fun things to roll around in and eat. The horses eat a very healthy (non-drug) diet, so your dog will not be harmed.

I know how difficult it can be to find a safe space to exercise, play with and train your dog without unwanted distractions! The horses do not share fence line with the middle paddock, and the chickens are unlikely to come in or up to the fence. I might be around doing chores and such, but I can keep my dogs in the house. The paddock is fenced in field fence. There are a couple of gaps where a small dog might get through, but my ~65lb dog cannot. There is a hotwire on the fence for the horses, but it will be unplugged for your visit.

This is a private, undeveloped, forested spot. If you are interested in this spot, you and your dog should be up for a mini adventure. This spot is not a manicured, backyard park. It is wild and beautiful, and a rare find in this area. THERE IS NO TRASH SERVICE AT THIS FOREST LOCATION. PACK EVERYTHING OUT WITH YOU, INCLUDING DOG POOP BAGGIES. The trail starts at the west (downhill) end of the parking spot, and winds downhill to the creek (there are a couple of switchbacks). The trail from the parking area to the creek is less than 5 minutes long. At the bottom of the trail, is a deck. Beyond the deck is a year-round creek with a swimming hole. There are fish, frogs, newts, and crawdads. All wildlife is protected, so please don't catch or remove them. You may walk up and down along the creek exploring, as long as you turn around if you see a waterfall downstream or a house in the distance. The trail that leads downhill to the creek is intermediate, not for beginners or flip-flops. There should be no poison oak or ticks on the trail, but if you venture off the trail, you may encounter poison oak or ticks. There are blackberry bushes to the sides of the trail that resemble poison oak. There should be no foxtails. You may see wild animals. As a wild spot, you may encounter typical hazards that are present in most local forest trails, such as wildlife, water, and trip-and-fall hazards. This is a private spot, and there should be no other people or dogs during your booking. If you see someone during your booking, please let us know as soon as possible, so that we can take steps to prevent them from trespassing again. There is no lighting at this spot, so if you book before sunrise or after sunset, please bring a headlamp or flashlight. There is no trash collection service at this location, so please pack out any trash. Thank you!
