Welcome to Above The Danger Homestead, future site of A-D (pronounced A Bar D) Meats. I have 3 acres of natural grass and trees that is fully fenced for your canine best friend(s). I have no intention of putting any livestock on the back 3 so I figured I would share with you all. You will feel fairly secluded from the world here on the homestead where all you'll see or hear is primarily the residents of this piece of land, and even then, we are fairly busy and quiet. This spot is just getting set-up, but my goal is to make this the premier private dog park in the Orting area. We are up in the hills out of the valley where wildlife roams freely. We have almost daily deer sightings as well as they like to bed down in the trees and tall grass. I welcome your feedback on what amenities you would like to have you come back time after time again. Camp Dilly Dally Doggie Park In Buckley

We offer five acres of partially mowed fields and a natural wooded area. There is a small spring-fed pond and access to South Prairie Creek. Since the creek has a variable current, it may be best for larger dogs. The pond is ideal for smaller dogs who aren't strong swimmers. Trails began as deer/elk trails but have been improved. There are some small logs and rocks to step over so sturdy shoes are recommended. We make a constant effort tosubdue the blackberries but you may encounter vine strong-willed vines. The leaves that cover the trails in the fall may be a little slippery, so take care. Please avoid the dead tree area. There is a shed with supplies where you park.

For your first scheduled time please pull up to the gate with the yellow horse, Xing sign on it & text me upon arrival. At the forest edge, Madhatter Lane invites you to a serene creek, a secret haven at our fully fenced sanctuary. For environmental reasons, the creek area is not fenced. Our hilly forested land, a tapestry of guardrails, fences, gates, natural barriers, rolling trails, springs and creeks, sometimes steep, sometimes flat, is a haven for play. We recently added a 50 ft long Stick Library! These trails, originally created for horses, have been lovingly reclaimed from invasive brush and dead trees, now fun for paws and feet alike. We’ve ensured the future of this tranquil forest by planting more than 600 local tree saplings. The canopy of Hemlock, Douglas Fir, Western Red Cedar, Yew, BigLeaf Maple, and Alder, filled out as soon as there was more light. These trails whisper stories of the past. If the water is not pressed completely closed, water continues to leak out the bottom of the hydrant unseen. Please close each gate. Dogs must be leashed going to and coming from the parking area, and may be unleashed when entering the dog park. We rely upon guests to contact us and tell us immediately if they need anything. To be fully fenced please roll shut the main gate after you park. There are also 2 sets of gates at the top of each trail to the Sniffspot. The forest area is fully fenced, some doubled. There are 2 gates that lead to the creek so you can control access. Please roll the Entrance gate into the open and securely hooked position when you leave, thank you! Fully fenced 1 acre dimensions are approx 50'-1000'. Water bucket and hose at entrance and at approx 400 feet in. Picnic table at the far end of property with shade awning for humans. Fort Lewis helicopters may be flying around. Fence is on property line with neighbors driveway on other side. Neighbors on one side of fence have dogs that may or may not be out. Goats (ours) may be out on the other side yard. Park on top, and keep gate closed please. This space is primarily goat pasture. Please no smoking, no littering (this includes sunflower husks/food waste), and do NOT drive down the hill. All proceeds go to child's 529 College Savings Plan so thank you for visiting!
