IMPORTANT: all prices listed are in USD and guests will be charged in USD Welcome to Barkingham Palace — 1.5 acres of private, partially-fenced canine kingdom in Waterdown. Let your dog rule the realm. Race across the huge open lawn that’s perfect for zoomies, epic games of fetch, or simply stretching out in the sun. Slip into the magical microforest where shaded trails and natural sniffs await the curious explorer. Two picnic tables give humans their own perfect perches: one tucked privately in the forest, the other right in the heart of the sunny backyard so you never miss the action. Meander along the old miniature train track paths — right now they’re a winter wonderland under a blanket of snow, but come spring and summer they’ll be groomed into charming walking loops that add a touch of whimsy to every visit. The firepit is currently closed for its royal renovation and will return bigger, better, and ready for cozy evenings this spring. You’ll find everything taken care of: dedicated off-street parking in our private driveway, complimentary poop bags, garbage cans, and a tote stocked with extra toys and balls for your dog to claim as their own while they’re here. We’re brand-new hosts who are absolutely thrilled to open our gates. Over the next few months we’ll be adding agility equipment, and by summer you’ll have a proper digging pit, the refurbished firepit, and (fingers crossed for hot days) a kiddie pool for cooling off. We want Barkingham Palace to be the best private dog space in the area, and we can’t do it without you. A suggestion and comment box is waiting on-site — tell us what your dog loved, what they want next, and we’ll make it happen. Your dogs deserve the royal treatment, and we’re here to deliver it.

Burlington Humane Society's Fully Fenced Dog Park

***Charges are in USD*** We at BHS understand that letting your dog run and play is so important! But some dogs aren't suitable for dog parks or social areas. Our private, fully fenced half acre yard is the perfect place to let your (reactive or otherwise) dog just be a dog and get some freedom! Please check in at the front desk to get the key to the yard, and clean up after yourself. There are water bowls in the yard, but please bring your own water. There are trees providing shady areas throughout the day. If bringing back the key when we are not open, please put it in the Mailbox, located beside our Front Doors. When we are open, our receptionists will gladly take the key back from you! All the fees go directly to the animals in our case, and we are a registered charity and no-kill shelter. IMPORTANT: all prices listed are in USD and guests will be charged in USD We have a half acre back yard with a fully fenced yard. Seating areas close to the house and in the middle of the yard at a 17 ft raised gazebo(great to sit and observe your pups). Both areas have tables. In the summer we have a yard swing as well and a three tier fountain. Some items like water hoses are not available in the winter. Lower yard is paved with flagstone and has steps going to the upper yard. It is a very quiet area with lots of shade in the summer.

A big, bush-like backyard against the edge of the escarpment, adjacent to both a Bruce trail access point and a city park with courts and a playground for a combined use, a spot with something for everyone! Note that people with dogs walk along the east side of the lot when accessing the Bruce Trail. A small dog name Jack lives along the west fenceline, he is occasionally out for a pee. Access through double gates at the side of the house, yard is fenced in with extra fencing along the bottom edge at key points. Family-friendly so please be sure to poop and scoop. Garbage and scooper are provided near the entry gate. Plenty of seating areas to choose from scattered across the yard!
