55Huge grassy area for flat-out running, overgrown areas along the sides for sniffly exploration. Love this place.
55Beautiful, huge long open field with some shady spots for people and dogs as well. It was great for my dog to be able to run flat out for such long distances! and there was an interesting variety of things to sniff around the edges. As stated, this space is not fully fenced -- there's a woodsy area at the far end, which of course is where my pupper wanted to go explore. He has pretty good recall, though, and we got to do some more practice :) Lovely place, will be back!
55Awesome, large, private area to run and play. Even though not fenced, I felt very safe with my two who are still learning recall. I started with leads attached while they first explored, but felt secure letting them off leash and practicing recall! Thank you, We will be back!
55My dogs very much enjoy the long running space
55Update to my previous review: I tried to edit and resubmit my last review but the app wouldn’t let me. The host sent me a message afterward and was incredibly gracious and kind. She addressed my concerns and made every attempt to resolve them. I’m delighted to say this second time around there were plenty of signs!! Signs to show you where the spot is and where to park. The spot itself is great, my dog has a blast running around the huge field/lawn. It’s hard living in the city where walking your dog means streets covered in trash, glass and traffic everywhere. I don’t trust dog parks either - too many irresponsible dog owners. This spot is such a great alternative. I made my reservation 20 minutes before arriving so she didn’t have water accessible but that’s completely my fault; and plus, I always bring a water bottle or two on outings. Overall this is an affordable, clean, large space for my dog to run off leash. Thank you, thank you!!!
55Great large yard for pups to run in They loved exploring the yard as well as the wooded area in the back No trails back there but they can be adventurous sometimes. There is a creek back there as well that the pups tried to get to but looked very steep so we ended up calling them back. Grass was wonderful for them to run around on as well, yard was also very clean. It happened to be a very beautiful and warm day so it was a nice afternoon we had with the pups.
55Expansive yard, set back off the road. Lots of room to run and play, or just sniff! Cyndi sent me clear instructions about parking and accessing the space. We will definitely be back!
55I had a great time I definitely will be returning
35The host is nonresponsive which is fine I understand that to an extent but not so much when there’s no direction on where to go once you arrive. Not a sign , no instructions on the listing, nothing. I was really confused because the GPS took me to a garage type building. If it hadn’t have been for another review I wouldn’t have been able to figure out if I was in the right spot. Even with the review I still felt weird and hoped that I wasn’t just going into someone’s backyard. There’s also amenities like dog water and stuff like that listed that I didn’t see but I guess it’s possible I missed it. Other than that it’s a very large open area my dog really enjoyed running around. If your dog doesn’t like snow this is not the spot for you at least when the weather is as it is today. We recently had a good amount of snow.
55What a great spot! Sadly my cowardly little dog fled from the few inches of snow, but we'll definitely be back when it's warmer!

Come and play in Sammy’s Playground. There’s lots to do. With the entire 0.5-acre backyard fully enclosed by a new chain-link fence (Fall 2022), the pups are free to roam and run to their hearts delight. And, wow… it sure is fun to watch them go!! Zoom-Zoom (important notices on pricing and opening the gate are at close of this section). The areas along the edges of the yard are wooded and make for fun pathways for explorations. The central area of the yard has a slight hill and is mostly open. This makes for plenty of romping and heavy-duty running- including long throws of a ball or a frisbee. Check out all of the photos and read the accompanying descriptions to get a better idea of how Sammy’s Playground will appeal to you and your furry friends!! And don’t worry about the yard (too much). There’s divots and mounds all around, no manicured lawns when dogs are at play. Go for it guys… Enjoy!! The pool💦 is open and the water is Devine for pups and humans alike. We allow two humans per dog to assist any dogs that may need “assistance.” We have a bunch of life vests available, but can’t guarantee that we have one that will fit your dog(s). Many dogs will find great pleasure in retrieving their ball or simply going for a dip in the pool. Sammy is a nutcase for his tennis balls. David stands in the deep end, throws the ball to the stairs, Sammy bobs for the ball, retrieves it… all to do it again (whining the whole time). Mind you, he will not retrieve (or drop) his tennis ball otherwise. For 💦 pool use, select the corresponding “Extra” for your visit. Striped towels for the dogs. Colorful towels for the humans. Place wet towels on the wall. They’ll dry almost instantly. We also set up the furniture, gazebo, hammock, doggie toys, cold water and beverages for our Guests for ALL to enjoy as we enjoy this summertime!! Yea. It’s our hope that our family-like relationships between us and our Guests remain great and we to avoid any reason to raise our hourly rate. SniffSpot suggests we list at $20/hour. We are uncomfortable with doing this, because it goes against the spirit of our objective for the playground in the first place: providing a safe and secure environment for dogs of all kinds to enjoy off-leash “true-dog” experiences with their loving humans. We do welcome donations of dog food and medications for the all-dog rescue organization, PAWS New England. In fact, on some occasions, we may make Sammy’s Playground available on “off” hours. When we do, we consider this premium time and ask that a donation be a must. ——- NOTE: to open the gate, simply reach over the top to find the key. Twist/turn the key until it stops. Then, lift the knob on top of the gate and push the gate open… you’re in! The gate automatically closes behind you. Please confirm that it has engaged into the closed position and then turn the key to lock yourself in. DO NOT REMOVE THE KEY. The photos section includes views of the gate, key and lock. NOTE: As an “Extra” listed benefit, you may park your vehicle in an area away from the gate and take advantage of a leisurely stroll down the very-well-kept sidewalks of Park Street and adjoining neighborhoods. This might be a good way to burn off that last little bit of doggy energy or for some leash training while you’re here. This is time AFTER your booked time of using Sammy’s Playground (not a part of it). This is essentially a parking fee. We just don’t want you to run off without taking advantage of all the resources available to you for your dog(s).
