55Very nice open spot, my foster dog loved playing fetch here :) Good amenities. Thank you!
55Amazing space! Gorgeous yard (and home). Very thoughtful additions, like extra poo bags and a little jar of treats. We will definitely be back!
55Great space and easy to find!
55Great clean spacious yard! Heads up, the only unexpected “problem” is that the neighbor’s chickens were out free in their yard. Which is totally fine, but they proved to be a pretty huge distraction for Disco and I had to spend the whole time monitoring him and preventing him from being a nuisance because the neighbor was also out. He was slightly obsessed with them!
55What an incredible space!! Huge yard with so many amenities we had so much fun.
55Awesome space! So much land for the doggos to run! They even had little treats, bags, water, and toys available! Highly recommend!
55Thank you so much for sharing your space with us! My pup loved it! The smells were strong and he enjoyed bouncing around the lovely scenery.
55Great space! My pup really enjoyed himself exploring the area. The fences were plenty secure. Would definitely recommend!
55We loved this sniff spot! There’s plenty of space for my dog to run around and get his energy out as well as shade. There was poop bags if you need to clean up after your pet as well as chairs and treats. The host had great communication and when I let her know I wasn’t sure how my dog would react to chickens she gave me options on what can be done so our experience could be positive!
55Loved this Sniff Spot. Bella was so intrigued with the Cicadas and the property is beautiful. As usual with Bella, she did her own thing. We’ll be back for more visits. The host dies a wonderful job with offering many amenities for fur babies. I really can’t say enough!!! This will be a favorite!!!!

Description

We are a dog loving home located on a large lot right off the Illinois Prairie Path in Lombard! Perfect spot for owners who already walk their companions on the path to stop and have some playtime or extra training time. (We just ask you make reservations before planning your visit) Join our Facebook Group ‘Kefy Dog Park’ to find Yard Updates & how other friends are enjoying our spot! https://www.facebook.com/share/ix7uGd3kp5R6DqxA/?mibextid=K35XfP We have a Newfoundland and Yorkie who will be inside during visits unless otherwise communicated & chickens who will be in their coop/chicken run. Our favorite times of year to see our Newfie play outside are winter (he loves to catch snowballs, chase our kids and then lay in the cold snow)…and the summer when he lays in the cool grass and plops himself down in the kiddie pool. We hope your doggies will love to enjoy our yard just as much!

*IMPORTANT: Please contact us if you are wanting to book multiple dogs from different households or have more than 2 people coming with the dog(s)! This is for safety purposes AND to prevent too many people and/or dogs here at one time. While we love hosting, we also have neighbors and want to offer transparency and respect with how many dogs & people are expected to be present. *We currently have preferences set to 2hr Max time and limit of 4 dogs. However, we are open to changing those preferences per individual customer wishes. We just ask that you send a message so we can make sure it works well on our end as well. *please respect the chickens in their coop. We expect dogs to be curious and sniff around but if you have a dog that is maybe a little too curious and is causing them distress, please let us know so we can work something out.

Notice: We are closing the spot on May 23rd for maintenance. Sorry for the inconvenience. Grass and rain: Please keep in mind that during moderate to heavy rains the area without mulch can get muddy. Beginning May of 2024, we will post pictures daily to our Instagram account showing the condition of the spot. As you can imagine, due to the wear and tear the spot gets, it’s difficult to keep the grass alive. However, we do our best to reseed during the spring. BarkPark sits right across the street from The Salvation Army Freedom Center. This spot is fully fenced (chain link and wood) with the side facing the sidewalk being 5ft and the rest of the fence being 6ft. There is a dual-gate entrance to the spot for a safe entry and exit. Street parking is available. There is plenty of seating at this spot with shade throughout the day. There's a rain barrel filled with water for dogs to hydrate and cool down. We have water bowls available. GIANT sandbox that's great for digging and playing; no digging elsewhere please. On hot days, we do our best to keep the sand wet. Trash can onsite. We have poop bags available in two different areas for easy access. Half of this spot is covered with grass and the other half with playground mulch. This spot is big enough to get a good fetch session in or to just let the zoomies out. We also recently added agility equipment. We hope you and your four-legged friend/s have an exceptional time during your visit and choose to come back. Lost toys and items: Due to the amount of visits we get we aren’t able to track which items belong to which guest. If you’ve lost a dog toy or other item, please reach out and we’ll do our best to retrieve it and hold it for you. If you don’t reach out, we’ll hold onto it for a week and then add it to the Lost and Found Toy Box. Water: The dog drinking water gets changed 1-2 times per week, depending on the temperature/usage. During the winter months we empty the water barrel. If your dog/s require water during the winter months, we ask that you please bring your own. Food: You’re welcomed to bring food but we ask that you please clean up as a courtesy to other guests. Future additions: We hope to add more amenities over time. Our plans are to add more sand to the sandbox in late April or early May of 2024. We’re also hoping to have on-site parking around mid summer of 2024. If you have any suggestions for amenities, we’d love to hear your feedback.
