Sometimes

Occasionally we dogsit for my dad, a little black-and-white floof named Harley, but if he's here, you won't be able to see him from the house, although you might hear him bark a little. Next door is an elderly husky mix named Oliver; he's a little cranky about strangers, but is all bark, no bite. If you can, please try to distract your dog away from him and give him space - we appreciate it! And like most of L.A., we've had coyotes in the area, so be on the lookout.

We have two indoor cats, so you might see a curious Vesper (tall black shorthair) or Phoebe (tiny gray tabby) in a window - they're just watching. No other domestics - just wild squirrels and the occasional feral cat from the TNR colony.

Sometimes

You might hear/see our neighbors in the yard of the two-story house with the pool next door to the west, over the chain-link. Their adult son has a developmental disability, is confined to a wheelchair, and sometimes his communication sounds like screaming or yelling if you're not familiar with it. He's okay - he's just trying to get his caregiver's attention on something from far away, and he doesn't have many words to communicate with. Like most neighborhoods, there's other people biking, skateboarding, walking dogs, pushing strollers, jogging, etc. outside.
