55We had a WONDERFUL time!!! It was easy to get in & out, fencing was perfect, yard was immaculate, everything was clean (even poop shovels!), everything I needed was right there (didn’t have to look for anything), it was quiet (could be that was just today, but that was our experience), there was shade, the kiddy pool was soooo appreciated, a place to sit down….I can’t think of any way to make our experience better! 45This was my very first Sniffspot & overall it was good! The yard is large, super clean, and there’s nothing for the dogs to get into. They even had out toys, poop bags, a hose, and a doggy pool! This was a good experience and the owners if this space are doing everything right! They even had curtains closed so that it didn’t feel like I was being monitored by the owners.
The ONLY thing to really consider (which is out if the owners control) is that the neighbors share the fence, and the neighboring dogs are NOT dog friendly! We showed up, my dog was sniffing around, and immediately the neighbors dogs were at the fence barking & growling at her. I tried to keep my dog distracted & calm & away from the fence. She did okay at first, but they were barking & growling so much that more neighborhood dogs started barking. After 20 minutes of this, the neighbor finally came outside to see what was happening, but did not do anything to remove their dogs. At this point my dog was anxious & worked up since the barking & growling had not stopped for 20 minutes & they were at the fence staring at her every move. I nicely asked if they could take their dogs inside since I would only be there for 10 more minutes, and they were very nice & took them inside. However, as I walked over to about 3 ft from the fence to ask the neighbor, the dog got increasingly agressive & when my dog approached with me, the neighbors dog tried to bite my dog through the fence. So I had to help my dog decompress & the last 10 minutes were enjoyable!
Overall: great yard, and good experience! My dog eventually really liked rolling around, sniffing, chasing me, & playing fetch. I just likely won’t return due to the neighbor’s dogs being aggressive & it not creating a good environment for me or my anxious dog. Next time I will probably look for a spot that doesn’t share bordering backyard space! (: If your dogs don’t mind these things, you’ll have a great time!Jaydin K.
