55A great Sniffspot for those looking for peace and quiet as it says. I appreciate the trails that my pup and I were able to follow. Being that she’s a rescue, it’s hard to find places without too many other triggers around. I’m really glad we went with this location. Definitely would return in the future!
55This is a great new Sniffspot! The dogs loved wandering the trails and sniffing wildlife smells. We were there on a warm late September morning and enjoyed the scenery of trees starting to change color and sound of crickets chirping. This spot is just off a county highway so you can hear cars passing and it is unfenced but the trails were far enough away from the road that I wasn't worried. My dogs wear drag lines when they're offleash so I can catch them if needed. They also wear high vis vests in case we get separated and I need to find them. But they were great and stayed on the trails. Definitely bring bug spray... obviously if you hike in rustic areas, you'll encounter mosquitoes, gnats and flies. There is a sign to let you know when you've reached the property line and we saw some wire fencing along another stretch of trail. This seems to be a fairly recently groomed trail so there is some rough terrain with poky weed stalks sticking up from the ground and some areas with low overhanging branches, so wear sturdy shoes and be prepared to navigate some obstacles. Also a lot of spiderwebs across the trail so carry a stick to knock those down. Easy to find and we loved it! Will definitely be back!

Hello! We are so excited to host your pet(s)! Our house is located close off Highway 51, north of Wausau by NTC. We have two dogs of our own that will be inside and not a bother while you are enjoying the area. (The smaller fenced area that is connected to our house/porch is not part of the Sniffspot reservation.) Our drive way is located at the end of a quiet cul de sac and has two entrances, feel free to use either one! We have a large fenced area that is connected to a red shed. Check out the goodie box with treats for pet owners and pets as well as some dog toys and doggie bags to help clean up. There is a water dish and trash can available too! Enjoy off leash time in the large fenced area. We also have about 2 acres of unfenced area with a pond and hills, feel free to enjoy this area as well. There are two outdoor kitties that are friendly and may venture around the area while you are visiting. We are looking forward to hosting you and your pet(s). Have a wonderful day!
