55Great fenced in location for our three dogs to run and play. So much sniffing was done! A lot of poop around… but we didn’t mind.
45A few poops here and there. Did get bother by alot of bees. Not necessarily anyone fault. Just time of year
55My dogs and their friends had fun there. A lot of things for them to explore. We couldn’t find the water bucket though. It would be better if they have water on site.
55The accessibility issues we ran into last time were made so much better with the addition of the sign showing us where to go! Elton had such a great time at this spot, it’s one of my favorites!
55Great spot!
35A nice amount of space for the pup to sniff around, but a lot of potential hazards that would be concerning with a more rambunctious dog- landscaping equipment, a gas canister, rusted metal fence posts and pieces on the ground, etc. gates to enter are a bit confusing as well, and there was no gate blocking a large portion of the areas listed as off limits. Also worth noting (at no fault of this Sniffspot user/owner) there is a neighboring dog training facility a couple buildings over that was very loud with lots of distressed sounding dogs that had my pup on edge.
55Great large space! Two happy and tired pups. Thank you! 😄
55Awesome spot! My Mapke is a huge fan!
55Aside from a little confusion re: gates getting in, this was a great spot! Our puppy had a lot of fun running around.
55finding it for the first time is a little intimidating (I felt like we were in the back of an industrial area/ loading dock or something)- and getting through the gates is kinda confusing (wish the gates we are supposed to use were marked with a red tag or something to distinguish them from the off limit gates) as I am still not 100% sure I used the correct ones. My dogs loved it- lots of interesting field space to run, roll and sniff in. a wooden structure (it provided a bit of shade) and a couple of lawn chairs. we brought our own water as I didn't want to go in and out to find the hose- our dogs didn't mind the chicken noises or the random dogs barking from a building or two away.

Come and play in Sammy’s Playground. There’s lots to do. With the entire 0.5-acre backyard fully enclosed by a new chain-link fence (Fall 2022), your pups are free to roam, sniff and run to their hearts’ delight. And, wow… it sure is fun to watch them go!! Zoom-Zoom. (Important information on pricing and opening the gate are at close of this section. Pull your vehicle right up to the main gate.) The areas along the edges of the yard are wooded and make for fun pathways for explorations. The central area of the yard has a slight hill and is mostly open. This makes for plenty of romping and heavy-duty running- including long throws of a ball or a frisbee. Check out all of the photos and read the accompanying descriptions to get a better idea of how Sammy’s Playground will appeal to you and your furry friends!! And don’t worry about the yard (too much). There’s divots and mounds all around, no manicured lawns when dogs are at play. Go for it guys… Enjoy!! It’s our hope that our respectful relationships between us and our Guests remain great and we can continue to avoid any reason to raise our hourly rate. SniffSpot suggests we list our SniffSpot at $20/hour. We are uncomfortable with doing this, because it goes against the spirit of our objective for Sammy’s Playground in the first place: providing a safe and secure environment for dogs of all kinds to enjoy off-leash “true-dog” experiences with their loving humans. We do welcome donations of dog food, p-pads and medications for the all-dog rescue organization, PAWS New England. PawsNewEngland.com for information about fostering, donating, adopting or other ways to support this amazing group. They save over 1,000 dogs per year. ——- NOTE: to open the gate, simply reach over the top to find the key. Twist/turn the key until it stops. Then, lift the knob on top of the gate and push the gate open… you’re in! The gate automatically closes behind you. Please confirm that it has engaged into the closed position and then turn the key to lock yourself in. DO NOT REMOVE THE KEY. The photos section includes views of the gate, key and lock. MUST: when you leave, lock the gate. Doubly ensure that you have done so by lifting the knob. NOTE: As an “Extra” listed benefit, you may park your vehicle in an area away from the main gate and take advantage of a leisurely stroll down the very-well-kept sidewalks of Park Street and adjoining neighborhoods. We list this as an Extra simply so that we know why we have a car in the driveway, but no humans and dogs. Selecting this Extra just gives us the heads up. This might be a good way to burn off that last little bit of doggy energy or for some leash training while you’re here. This is time AFTER your booked time of using Sammy’s Playground (not a part of it). We just don’t want you to run off without taking advantage of all the resources available to you for your dog(s).
