35There was a lot of space to run around, but I felt there were too many hazards to make this a truly safe space. The worst was sharp pieces of sheet metal on the ground, a flatbed trailer with lots of construction debris on top, a boat on top of sawhorses that could easily be knocked down by dogs playing, and there was dog poo all over the yard. I cleaned up at least seven in addition to my dogs', and there was still lots more throughout the yard. We didn't end up staying for the full hour as there were just too many hazards for my dogs.
55Huge space with lots of grass, fruit trees, raised garden beds, a patio and a small garden sitting area. There is a John Deere and a few other normal yard items around, which our dogs had zero interest in, but just for awareness. Would definitely go back and recommend! It was a short drive for us, but felt like we were in the country and very peaceful
55Lots of space and lovely hosts! My dog did see a cat, but it doesn’t belong to the hosts so they have no control over it.
55A big yard with wonderful projects going on, very safe and interesting for my dogs to investigate with a large lawn area of multiple lengths of grass.
55It had a great feel to it and a neighbor cat my dog was obsessed with (sorry). Great fenced yard. A little farther away than I expected. Nice fresh water for my doggo
55So much space! The dogs had a great time romping around the yard.

WARNING: free roaming neighborhood dogs. My neighbor has two labradors who sometimes free-roam the neighborhood and may come into our driveway. Both dogs are very friendly but if your dog is not, please be careful and aware that I have no control over the neighbors dogs. They do not have access to our yard at all and only a small section of the fence borders the driveway. If the neighbor dogs are out and in the driveway, you may pull your car through the double gate into the gravel area before getting your dogs out of the car so there is a fence separating your dogs from the neighbor's dogs. Please be sure to close this gate fully when you leave. I own a beagle. She will be kept inside the house any time we have guests.

CHICKENS- We have chickens which are kept inside an enclosure which is also inside a separate fenced area (two layers of separation from the yard). CATS - We have 2 cats who are indoor only. There are several cats who roam the neighborhood freely, they're not mine and I can't control them but we seldom see them in our yard except very early morning or after dark.

People in the neighborhood frequently go for walks up and down the street. The edge of our nearest fenceline is a good 30 ft. from the street though so people will not be very near the yard.

There is a side gate that leads directly into our yard from our driveway. I only select "sometimes" because I cannot guarantee that the neighbors labradors won't be in our driveway. The seldom are, but seldom is not never.

Description

Come enjoy our large back yard, ideal for playing and doggy enrichment! I tend to only mow part of the yard so there will be a variety of lengths of grass- great for dogs to explore. At night lots of wildlife visit the yard so there will be lots of fun scents for doggies to smell! And the whole thing is very securely fenced with chain link. The back patio is covered and has lawn chairs on it, feel free to unfold and use those. When you come in the side gate you'll see a hose on the side of the house, feel free to use that - to to give your dog a drink, wash off feet, or cool off in the summer. (Hose will be turned off in winter. In summer it might not be coiled up but feel free to move it around wherever you like). I try to have a trash bin accessible on the back porch. Sometimes the porch is a bit disorganized or I forget to put it back. If you can't find it, feel free to use the big bin by the gate (the smaller blue one is the trash).

Cleanliness

Hazards

Grapes- There is a large grape arbor near my house, in the back yard. Because grapes can be toxic to dogs, my spot is shut down in the fall to prevent dogs from eating the fallen grapes. Through spring and summer the grapes should be out of reach of dogs as the grapes grow up high.
