55The pups had a great time at Four Season Fun. Bruce, our host, was very responsive and sent a warm welcoming text before the visit providing changes to the traffic pattern in the area which might not have been picked up by the traffic apps. We loved the use of the many toys at the spot and appreciated the instruction to separate the used ones for sanitary cleaning after our visit. Plenty of water bowls and bottles during the hot day was helpful. I can definitely see where the use of an indoor training area would be a great option in the rainier/cooler days. The outside dirt area was nice in terms of size but having some grass area would be a good balance but based on the location, I can see why it's not an option. The barn area is well staged with lots of thoughtful considerations such as the double latch well labeled with instructions for secure, safe, play, holders for leashes, bin of toys, and chairs for parents to sit while pups play. Thank you for hosting. We will back.
55Bruce was an excellent host and his space was wonderful for our dogs! Will definitely be back if we’re ever close by again!
55Been coming here for over a year, my boys love it
55What a wonderful space! Our pup really enjoyed the outdoor space and played with his friend (both are shy guys). It was quiet with no other animals or people around. Perfect! Thank you.
55Place was clean, dogs had a good time, there were toys, and although it was a little smaller than I thought, we got what we were looking for.
55This is our favorite spot! We’ve been tons of times and have never been bothered by noises. The toy selection is wonderful. The area is very secure. It’s so nice to be able to go inside and cool off. Truly the best spot for my anxious reactive dogs to decompress and be dogs. ❤️
55Daemon gets so excited every time we start to pull in (:
55our pup gets excited as soon as we pull up!
55We absolutely love coming to this sniffspot every week! The hosts are so great and always quick to respond, the spot is perfect rain or shine for fun with the oodles of toys provided by the hosts. SO thankful to have found this gem.
55Great spot! I was a first time Sniff Spot user, and this was a great experience. The place was clean, the directions were really clear, and my dog had a great time running around without being anxious about other dogs. This spot also has toys, water. And an indoor area for when it rains! Thank you! We will be back!

The humans, Bruce and Valerie, and the dogs, Gracie and Harlow, welcome you to our SniffSpot. Our second one. We enjoy providing a safe place for all breeds to play and train. We have owned, fostered, and trained dogs for over a decade. We volunteer with the humane society and local rescues. Most recently we’re active with NW Canine Coalition, a group that provides videos and social media assistance to smaller rescues. Our pittie Gracie is also an AKC certified Therapy Dog Advanced. We visit retirement communities and community events. We also visit schools where we provide age-appropriate education to kids of all ages about dogs: safety around them, dog body language, breeds, teaching tricks, and more.

Pig Beach (near Port Ludlow)

A .63 acre dog sanctuary for you and your pup. The yard is well maintained with dog friendly grass and has incredible views of the Hood Canal and Puget Sound. If you're interested, there is private beach access for you and your pup to explore miles of beach (public but almost always empty). There are numerous dog toys available and a massive 6+ person, dog friendly couch you can relax on and watch the canal when you need a break! Regarding the beach, there are approximately 50 steps which you will need to climb up and down to access the beach so please wear proper footwear. As this is on the Hood Canal and not a lake or a pond, tides impact the size of the beach. If you are hoping to walk endless miles of beach, the tide will need to be at 2ft or below. Anything under 4ft will give you a massive area (probably 1/2 mile or more) and almost guaranteed private area as only people with stairs can access the beach at this tide level. Though the beach is open at any point, I think the maximum height you would probably want to go is about 6.5ft. This still gives you and your dog a decent sized area to play in (approximately 500ft by 30ft or 1/2 acre). Photos 16 and 17 show the beach at 6.25ft with a very large sandy area for you and your pup to play in. Anything above 6.5 ft is not recommended as the beach just gets thinner and thinner, but you're able to try if you want. (no refunds given if you don't like what you find). You are responsible for checking out the tides before you go. Legally, I can't recommend any specific source for you to use, but you might find good information Googling "tide chart port ludlow". Regarding ADA Accessibility, my property is on a gently sloping hill. To access it, there are 2 very wide concrete steps to get to the grass. This would be doable for someone on crutches and probably ok for a regular wheelchair if you had a second person to help lower you to each step and pull you up. It's definitely not accessible to a motorized wheelchair. Sorry.

Wonderlane

On these 80 degree days this is a cool place to be. Bring your friends and their dogs too! Embark on an enchanting Pacific Northwest rainforest adventure at Wonderlane World Famous Sniffspot for Dogs and Their Best Friends - Unleash your dogs and frolic with your beloved friends in the lush embrace of our hilly Pacific Northwest natural rainforest. Wonderlane beckons you and your best pals to explore 66 years of history across 2 acres of established trails, over 9 terraces, under towering old-growth trees, listening to the gentle murmur of a clear creek, accessible by your choice of 2 gates. From the parking area choose your path— the left or right trails —and meander down Flying Horse Lane or Waggin' Tail Lane to The Landing Pad, where trails weave into playful circles perfect for a game of ‘Hide and Go Seek’ or a chase! At the forest edge, the Madhatter trail invites you to a serene creek, a secret haven at our fully fenced sanctuary. For environmental reasons, the creek area is not fenced. Our hilly forested land, a tapestry of guardrails, fences, gates, natural barriers, rolling trails, springs and creeks, is a haven for play. These trails, once trodden by horses, have been lovingly reclaimed from invasive brush and dead trees, now fun for paws and feet alike. We’ve nurtured this tranquil forest back to life by planting more than 600 saplings. The canopy of Hemlock, Douglas Fir, Western Red Cedar, Yew, BigLeaf Maple, and Alder, filled out as soon as there was more light. These trails whisper stories of the past. In the spring, summer, and fall, lush frilly leaves decorate every breeze with greenery in motion. Wonderlane isn’t just a place; it’s an experience—a Sniffspot designed with your dog’s joy in mind. While they dash through wood chips and Pacific Northwest duff, under ferns you’ll enjoy the sight of a 20-acre forested wetland, a living vista of nature. Though some wildlife is a rare sight, the forest is alive with the songs of songbirds - sparrows, finches, thrushes, grosbeaks, and a host of other birds, such as majestic American Bald Eagles are seen here. Walk, run or pause on our soft wide paths and let the forest’s secrets reveal themselves uniquely to you. We’ve spent over five years crafting this haven, just a mile from the South Sound, for you and your friends to run, walk, sit, and revel in the company of your dogs. And when the day’s adventures are done, two Starbucks await to refresh you, 3 minutes and 5 minutes away. Join our community on Facebook, by searching for “Wonderlane World Famous Sniffspot,” or ask a warm and friendly nearby AI to direct your browser there, and watch tales of joy. https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61556216197208 Wonderlane is more than a walk in the woods—it’s where nature’s heart beats, inviting you to breathe in the peaceful air, one paw print at a time! If your dog ever hesitates to leave, a ring of the Magic Chuck Waggin’ Triangle will bring them running back. We recommend bringing repellent or wearing it when you drop into the forest, and if you choose, onto the creek area. The creek is best for physically fit individuals. If you need assistance, please contact us directly. Keeping Wonderlane pristine is a collective effort, and we value your help in maintaining the beauty of our shared space. Please use the garbage bins at the top driveway entrance for disposal of any waste. Please close the hydrants completely. Press the hydrant water handle into the completely closed position after use. If the water is not pressed completely closed it affects our water system pressure. Please close every gate. Dogs must be leashed going to and coming from the parking area, and may be unleashed when entering the dog park. We rely upon guests to contact us and tell us immediately if they need anything. Enjoy the forest’s magic at Wonderlane. PS if you wonder about the fencing here, some guests want the creek fenced too, which isn't possible due to environmental reasons. The forest area is fully fenced, some doubled. There are gates to the creek so you can control access. We continue to improve everything except the fundamentally lovely forest, creek, air, light, trees, bushes, plants, and all the birds.
