Fresh water and sticks, balls available. It is country area so we have wildlife (raccoons, coyotes, hawks, eagles, deer and deer ticks) to be aware of.

There is a pond on the property without a fence around it. A dog have the ability to get out of the yard if they swim across the pond, but it is to a large cut field that we also own. The pond is mostly covered in duck weed all summer but is lovely in the spring and fall. It doesn't fully freeze in the winter. I own a very passive, but young dog that can come out and play if your dog wants a one on one friend. I'd like them to meet with me around first before booking a play time. Fencing is chainlink and farm fencing down the sides. Smaller dogs may be able to escape through the farm fencing. Seating on front porch and rear deck. Rear deck has an umbrella for shade. There is a bunch of parking in the driveway.

The perfect place for your canine companions to have a great time. Our park is located in a beautiful natural setting, with plenty of space for dogs to run and play. We believe that every dog deserves a safe and fun environment to play and exercise in. Our dog park has a 2 acre 5 foot fenced-in play area that has an open area for running and a small forested area that is great for sniffing. There are some obstacles to explore , an area to play fetch and run free, and a waste disposal station. Some sun , some shade and lots of room to run, sniff and explore. Enjoy clean, fresh air while your dog romps, and explores . There are natural roots and rocks in the field, some brush and a large flat grassed area. It is a field so the ground is uneven. Whether your dog loves to sniff and stroll, do zoomies, climb obstacles or play fetch there are options for all. There is parking for up to three cars, with access directly off the road. We take pride in maintaining a clean and well-managed park, so please remember to clean up after your pet and follow our park rules. We have three areas for you to enjoy, all are fully fenced and are included in the rental price. We have a fully fenced acre of woods with a trail that goes through to explore. It is accessed through the gate in the backyard. We also have a front yard and deep backyard, great for running, fetch and recall training. The yard is 1.5 acres and also fully fenced. During the summer you have access to two seating areas including a picnic table, gazebo for shade (seasonally) a 30 foot tether is also available if you would like to have your dog stay beside you while you relax. During the winter, paths are plowed in both yards and in the woods within 3-5 hours of a significant snowfall. Hard packed snow and mild weather can create icy sections on the property, we put down sand and pet safe ice melt on the trails to help. Feel free to contact us for trail conditions before booking. We live on a beautiful farm on the Mississippi River in the middle of Arnprior, Kinburn and Pakenham. Enjoy the quietness of the country with our very private dog park! Our field is fully fenced with 6' chain link fence, including a double gate to ensure that no dog can ever escape. Water is available for the dogs, and seating is available under our beautiful trees in the shade for you. As the fall starts to get colder and winter is upon us, we do plan to stay open for the winter. We plan to snowblow parts of the field so that there is a path when the snow gets super deep, and we’ll try to keep the area directly beside the barn clear for you. This is our plan… we’ll see how it works out in reality. :) If you have snowshoes, it may be a good idea to bring them some days depending on how much snowfall we’ll get. There is a bench around the tree on the far hill for you to sit on if you like. There are very few distractions here so it is a great space for play and/or training. New timeslots open up daily. Our Sniffspot is our backyard (attached to the house), which is about 1.5 acres of mostly open lawn... great for playing fetch or running at top speed! It is securely fenced with 5' fencing. There is seating, gazebo, dog toys, and agility equipment and a dog pool in the summer. In the winter there are plowed paths. A separate, 8 acre fenced field with walking paths is also available. All breeds are welcome. Reactive dogs welcome. VACCINES: All visiting dogs MUST be up to date on core vaccines (DHPP) or titer tested. We reserve the right to ask for a vaccine certificate. FOSTER DOGS: Foster dogs in rescue visit for free! Updated November 1 2024 Daily 8 A.M. until 5:30 P.M. we offer a partially fenced 100 acre property where your dogs can run free. We have 2 official trails currently, plus 2 groomed 1 acre field play areas. At this time there are also 2 large fields that have been harvested of soy and are perfect for walking and playing. We have chairs in the first field for you to relax. We have a Chuckit available to throw balls for your dogs. Fresh well water in a bucket, for dogs, and bowls, are provided in the first field also. There is a pond at the bottom of the first field to the right. I don't recommend it for humans at all and only for dogs in May, but dogs have been swimming in there all summer and fall and seem to be liking it fine! From there we have a mile long gravel walking trail along fields and forest. It's very straight, and if you stay on the trail, you can't get lost. It is very quiet and peaceful. Part way back there is a small run-off creek and metal culvert that is suitable for dog swimming in the spring, and this summer, due to all the rain we have had. This is marked with orange (kinda yellow now) pylons so is avoidable if you put your dogs back on a lead as you pass. You can often see deer, wild turkeys and lots of birds, sometimes bald eagles. A walk to the end and back is 2 miles and takes 40 minutes at a moderate pace. Just past the culvert, we offer a trail around 2 plowed wheat fields going East. It's along woods and takes about 15 minutes ending back on the main trail. In the second wheat field, there is a trail cam along the edge on the far East side, so be advised. It faces the deer blind on the opposite side of the field. 4 people bow hunt our property, but not very often, and the Spot will be closed when they are hunting. Only bow hunting is allowed, except for one week in December and no one will be allowed to walk the property during that week. I have photos posted to show you where the cameras are. They are totally avoidable! They are up from October to December and if we do capture your image, or your dog's, we will simply delete it. Note that our calendar will be blocked whenever the Spot is being used for any sort of hunting. Just past the entrance to the wheat fields on the main trail, we have several soybean fields that have been harvested and are very flat. They have now been planted with winter wheat. You can go wherever you like on these fields! Just past these fields on the main trail, there is a deer tree stand on the West side. Currently we have a trail camera at the base of this stand so be advised. It faces along the tree line, going north so is easy to avoid. After this you will reach the base of the big hill along the main trail. The Shady Walk and small field there are closed at this time. Be dressed for gravel on the trail, uneven footing on the wheat field trail, and potential water and mud puddles on the property in wet seasons and after rain. The main trail runs North/South so if you want a sunny walk, go at midday. A shaded walk, go after 3 p.m. Cooler times are before 11 a.m. and after 4 this time of year. Once the snow falls, you can walk through the woods. We have a white garbage can for poop but please use biodegradable dog poop bags. ***IMPORTANT: all prices listed are in USD per hour for the first dog, subsequent dogs are $6/hour and guests will be charged in USD*** On your way home, stop at MacKinnon's brewery just down the road for food and drinks.
