55Wow! Note to self that Old Yeller’s reaches peak beauty in mid-July! Such a breathtaking property. The grass is long and high in the field now and I can lose my dog for a moment when he’s running through. He loves it out there so much. ***NOTE: Foxtails are present on the property right now. They’re on the main path from where you park towards going up the hill. I suggest you keep your dog on a leash in this area to avoid them and look out for them. You really don’t want your dog stepping on a Foxtail. Be sure to check your dog’s face, paws, belly, etc. for any foxtails. Foxtails can lodge themselves and become embedded in your dog like tiny slivers (think fibreglass splinters) and can lead to pain and abscesses.
55Always amazing coming here my two dogs had a blast and got to burn off a lot of energy. We were also a bit late and she let us stay a bit later to make up for it much appreciated😁😁

Description

IMPORTANT: all prices listed are in USD and guests will be charged in USD ******* Note this Sniffspot App was created in the USA so the funds charged to your credit card will be in US dollars. I’m very sorry if that’s an inconvenience for you. Please feel free to google the exchange rate of US funds to Canadian to gauge approximately how much you’ll be paying for your visit. As well as PICK UP YOUR DOGS POOP, and if you happen to see one not picked up, please pick it up as you might not have noticed that yours might have did it. Thanks so much for understanding!******************** Come enjoy our 40 acre nature walk with your family and best furiends 🐕. It’s approximately a 1/2 mile long from the old green shop parking area to the end of the big top pasture. The very large grass pasture at the top of the hill is edged with wild brush (and a very old 4 foot page wire fence) is all on the outside perimeter, the only open spot is the 2 front gates. But recall is good to have as I don’t completely trust fences as I’ve seen some pretty good escape artists get over much higher wooden fences. There are 2 smaller pastures at the bottom of the hill before the bush areas as well, and one side has a little bit of a pond/standing water on it. You could also see some wildlife on your walk. We hope you will consider us for your dogs exercise needs, and are looking forward to having you explore our private ranch pasture. 🐾 🐾

Hazards

This is a 40 acre nature, natural country SniffSpot walk with possibly wildlife and uneven ground. The big pasture was a grazing grass field for livestock for many years so the ground can be very uneven. Please be careful and mindful of where your walking because of the rough ground. There is bush, a hill, and a bit of old barbed wire in a couple of spots on the outside bush areas that would be on the same part of the fence as the square page wire is. You could also encounter various different kinds of wildlife on your walk. There are a few horses to the south on the bottom part and a dog sometimes is occasionally heard in the distance. The grass can be very long at times and has low spots with sitting water, and can be damp so you might get wet shoes, rain or hiking boots, would be helpful. As well as there are mosquitos in the summer so bug protection is required. There’s some thistle patches in the long grass that we have been working on for years to get rid of. There may be Mole mounds and tunnels. Which some dogs have fun digging at, but be cautious of where you walk. In the winter there is snow, so tall snow boots or snow shoes would be handy. Please be safe!
