55More expansive than we gave credit on our first trip. Explored the other side more. When coming down, chose to take the goat path. Might be too narrow for some Still beautiful with so many areas for dogs to sniff and run amuck. Large mud puddle still present, but easily rinses off in creek. Morning dew heavily present, as our plan was to beat the heat, so bring a change of shoes or wear waterproof wear.
55This place is such a gem. So much to explore and do. Cabins are very cute that is very tempting as a get away rental.
55This place has everything you could ask for. Trails, creek, hills and is completely fenced! We took our 3 dogs and a dog we are house sitting and the "extra" dog had the most fun of all of them. We'll definitely be back!
55This was an amazing spot! Beautiful scenery, numerous trails, and so many amenities. A little treat for me and my pup was waiting when I returned to my car 😊. Delightful!
55We had THE BEST TIME at the magical forest! Grace is a wonderful host! We celebrated my little Whippets first birthday by inviting her friends for a hiking play date. I have to say, this was the best birthday ever for any pup and friends! Being our first time, Grace met our group and she was gracious to show us around and make room for our 4 cars. I also ordered some farm eggs and she was so mindful to leave a note for me to remember them and left us humans and pups treats on our exit! The property is super clean with just the right amount of sun shining through the trees. All of us kept saying we can’t wait to come back! Thanks for having us!
55Amazing Sniffspot. Doggies left exhausted, host communication was great. Thank you for the treats!
55This was another great visit! This time I brought my two dogs as well as a dog I am fostering. They all had a great time and are exhausted!
55The pups had so much fun! It was easy to find and the host left some cute extras. Thank you!
55We love the mini forest! Our dogs loved all the trails and the little steam. Grace was wonderful and welcoming! We will definitely be going back!
55Just the best place!! So kind and well maintained and such a fun adventure zone

Description

Our property is shy of 12 acres, 9+ acres of which we're sharing as a private off leash dog space or Sniffspot. The entrance is over the bridge where the creek is and 'From Creek to Back of Property' is all yours to explore. You may unleash your doggies right after the bridge and chain the gate if you want. Dogs might run down the creek for a splash or drink. Continue on to our family campground, there are picnic tables you could use. Then, up the hill you go to 'hike up the mini forest', free to roam around, listen to the birds, squirrels and other critters and sounds that nature brings you. You'll find seating areas while your dogs are at play, feel free to use them. Enjoy a picnic with your loved ones if you're up for it on one of the cabin porches or covered / uncovered picnic tables. The back of property behind fence is DNR land, so rest assured you’re on your own private little world with your furry buddies. The mini forest has some large walking paths and smaller trails scattered about, also some open meadows and is at a peaceful wooded setting. This is where I go to unwind and relieve my head of stress and worries. It’s my place of meditation, while my dogs sniff and romp around like crazy, do their zoomies and play hide n seek! *If you want to save a little bit of moolah, check out Sniffpass. Forget about the gym, you'll get your exercise here with your dogs. If you have older dog/s and would like to drive below the hill to park so the fur buddy don't get exhausted, message me.* Some of you have asked about the cabins. Sniffspot is unavailable if Cabins are booked or vice versa. Booking is through Hipcamp (www.hipcamp.com). Name of listing: 'Grace E.'s Mini Forest Cabins'. Check it out by copying and pasting link below to browser or Search listing through the hipcamp site. https://www.hipcamp.com/en-US/land/washington-grace-e-s-mini-forest-ex9hrrp8?shareid=1ddvuyvr3yh Saturdays are usually blocked if there's Hipcamp bookings. But I would unblock the hours for Sniffspot use if that day isn't booked for Hipcamp, so please try to check back, who knows that day might be available! Anyway, hope you too will enjoy your little 'hike up the mini forest..'

Hazards

Wear hiking boots, rain or dirty boots. Bear in mind that you’re in the country out in the woods, we have goats & when it rains watch out for muddy areas. Depending on the time of the day and season, bugs may be present, so please bring bug spray. When it gets windy, watch out for falling branches, limbs and twigs from old trees. There is also a section where we stack metal piles to be disposed off later, please pardon that eyesore. Occasionally, again, since you're in the country, by the mountains, our neighbor would once in a while do target practice or do some annoyingly loud shooting towards the DNR, you might also hear fireworks, even logging noise at times. :( This spot has a water feature, make sure to review these guidelines for visiting spots with water before visiting: https://help.sniffspot.com/article/167-how-to-keep-your-dog-safe-around-pools-and-water

Bison and Peaches, my 2 English Shepherds along with hubby, Brian & myself enjoy hiking up our little hill, mini forest out back & sometimes with our goats. They’ll all be locked up when you come visit so don’t worry. I found out about Sniffspot through Facebook. I saw a video of a couple talking about Sniffspot & I said... oh, i like that idea! So here I am doing the same thing & so far loving it. I love it especially when I see the faces of the parents & their 4 legged babies after the visit, tired, maybe dirty, but happy!
