45We had a lovely time at Barkley park. The yard was well looked after, and has everything you need for a good dog workout, including a clean bowl and a couple of fresh gallons of water. The host also helpfully popped his head out and pointed us in the right direction. I’ve rated it four stars instead of five for a couple of reasons; no deal breakers, just worth being aware of. 1) The property is beautiful, and the photos on the listing are very nice. However, the Sniffspot is a small part of what is shown in the photos; it’s just the football-field sized yard contained by the new and robust fence you see in some photos. 2) There is a dog on the property. He was not aggressive, but he did come face to face with my dogs through the fence. They all stayed cool, but others should be aware of the possibility. 3) The fence at the base of the hill was left open. It is in a spot that you would not notice if you were at the top of the yard, so it is worth checking. Again, no deal breakers. Just worth being aware of. We enjoyed our outing and will likely make the trek again!
55Has everything you’d need including poop bags, toys/balls and water for dogs and humans. We had a great time!
55This was a really nice spot, large level area up too and a steep hill on the far end, all grassy. Very well fenced, and the provided water and bowl were a nice touch!
55This is a fabulous property with a beautiful secure fence, large grass area perfect for playing and running and is so clean and nicely maintained! Very private and lots of thoughtful touches- water bottles, seating areas and toys and balls! Our dogs had a blast!
55Beautiful grounds. Beautiful place to sit and relax while the dogs play. Can see Mt Pilchuck through the trees and hear all different kinds of birds singing all around. It’s a slight incline to walk to get to the gate to use the fenced area. The grass is very well maintained and landscaping is PNW natural but manicured just enough. I haven’t encountered any mud anywhere the 2 times I’ve been so that’s a definite plus. This park is in between mine and my BFF’s house so it’s the perfect meeting place to take our fur babies for an hour after dropping off our kids at school in the morning. Nothing but good things to say about the place :)
55Absolutely beautiful spot close to home! My 4 month old puppy was in heaven running as fast as she could after the frisbee. Well maintained and lovely space. *be aware if your pup is smaller, like mine (15lbs) they can fit between the squares of the fence. Once she’s full grown it won’t be a problem. Luckily Savvy follows commands pretty well so she stayed close.
55Lovely location, and the host was so kind!!
55This is an absolute gem of a place!! Not only is the fenced acre immaculately maintained, but the owners sweetly included fresh water for both the pups and the humans, along with many fun toy options for the dogs. Corrine greeted us upon arrival and we ended up having a lovely conversation with both her and her husband. Then the dogs went off to play!
55Beautiful property and an excellent host!
55Such a beautiful spot to bring our super active Saluki mix! She had so much space to run, plants to explore, toys to play with, a giant water bowl (with extra water for us too), and super clean and comfortable spaces to relax. We even brought our kids and it felt extremely safe and comfortable. Not to mention the host is super kind and attentive to their space! We will definitely return!

I’m a commissioned professional photographer and artist of 25 years. I enjoy photographing fine art, creating, printmaking, painting, making artisan breads, European cuisine. For 35 years we have loved our Golden Retrievers, and big yellow dogs. Watching them grow up and have land to live freely has been joy. We have always been grateful for land for our pups through the years. Our pups have been a deep blessing. It is a beautiful countryside living lifestyle on my childhood farm on the Schwarzmiller Road in rural Lake Stevens. Our acreage rests on a hill above the large fields of our river valley. My husband, myself, and our Golden Retriever Hubbell, keep busy maintaining our 5 plus acres of lawns and gardens. Enjoying our outdoor studio park. Our view is amazing of the valley, river and Cascade mountains. My husband and I are thrilled to share our property for safe excersize and play for your pups. My husband and I enjoy hosting/boarding pups in our home and are taken in by us like our own. Inquire with us if you are in need boarding for your dog or dogs. We take in only one client at a time, and space out our visitors so we always enjoy each experience.

Our property is shy of 12 acres, 9+ acres of which we're sharing as a private off leash dog space or Sniffspot. The entrance is over the bridge where the creek is and 'From Creek to Back of Property' is all yours to explore. You may unleash your doggies right after the bridge and chain the gate if you want. Dogs might run down the creek for a splash or drink. Continue on to our family campground, there are picnic tables you could use. Then, up the hill you go to 'hike up the mini forest', free to roam around, listen to the birds, squirrels and other critters and sounds that nature brings you. You'll find seating areas while your dogs are at play, feel free to use them. Enjoy a picnic with your loved ones if you're up for it on one of the cabin porches or covered / uncovered picnic tables. The back of property behind fence is DNR land, so rest assured you’re on your own private little world with your furry buddies. The mini forest has some large walking paths and smaller trails scattered about, also some open meadows and is at a peaceful wooded setting. This is where I go to unwind and relieve my head of stress and worries. It’s my place of meditation, while my dogs sniff and romp around like crazy, do their zoomies and play hide n seek! *If you want to save a little bit of moolah, check out Sniffpass. Forget about the gym, you'll get your exercise here with your dogs. If you have older dog/s and would like to drive below the hill to park so the fur buddy don't get exhausted, message me.* Some of you have asked about the cabins.
