Description

Imperia's Canine Connection 1+ Acre Private Dog Park The Spot: Over 1 acre of fully fenced (6' chain link) field area with a drive-through gate so your dogs can start running right out of the car. The surface is a packed sandy soil during the cold weather months and mowed natural vegetation during the warmer months. A walk around the interior fence line is about 1/4 mile so it's great for the active dog owner too. It's a close-in rural location right in Aurora just two miles east of I-225 from the Sixth Ave exit. My neighbor has loose chickens on his property. The chickens are bothered by dogs. Dogs may bark out of curiosity and that's totally appropriate and ok, but they soon realize that with no reaction there is no need to bark. NOTICE: I share a 300' fence with a neighbor to the west. The neighbor has a new dog that on random occasions has access to this shared fence line. I have installed privacy screening to minimize this distraction. IF YOUR DOG IS HIGHLY REACTIVE, PLEASE DO NOT RESERVE TIME AT MY SNIFFSPOT. Sniffin' Hours are: 9:00 -4:00 every day except for Tuesday, which is field maintenance day, and my dogs do get kind of jealous if they can't use their own dog park. I can make special arrangements for you through the chat if you need longer than one hour, though for most dogs one hour is more than sufficient.

Should you see or hear people or dogs on the property do not open the gate. Message me first to be sure all is clear. I try to have the area ready 10 minutes prior to your reserved time though only have 30 minutes between visits on busy days to put out fresh water and clean toys. I also need to allow my dogs time out during that break, and I walk the field twice between each visit to ensure cleanliness.

I purchased this 2-acre property to have a private, open and clean space to train and condition my Doberman Pinschers. They all have a job in life and while we work hard, they are rewarded with this great recreation space. It's literally like having a football field right outside the back door and the dogs absolutely love going deep for the long ball. They show in conformation as well as compete in obedience and performance events. They love the spot, but don't use it all the time, so I have opened it up through Sniffspot for you to come and enjoy it too. Happy Tails!

You won't hear or see her. Very secure yard. I close curtains/lock all doors/dog door. *Neighbors are very quiet. The yard includes grassy areas, a concrete patio, and seasonally includes leaves or apples fallen from our trees. All plants and fruit are verified to be non-toxic to dogs. This spot may be best for small to medium dogs, but all dogs are welcome. There is a patio table with chairs and small trash can available with poop bags nearby. The patio is mostly in shade by the afternoon, while sun stays in much of the grassy area through early afternoon. The hose is off for the winter but will be back in the spring!
