We host a beekeeper who has about 40 hives on a well-marked and avoidable section of one trail. The bees won't be out until April but please avoid the hives anyway. ***Charges are in USD*** We at BHS understand that letting your dog run and play is so important! But some dogs aren't suitable for dog parks or social areas. Our private, fully fenced half acre yard is the perfect place to let your (reactive or otherwise) dog just be a dog and get some freedom! Please check in at the front desk to get the key to the yard, and clean up after yourself. There are water bowls in the yard, but please bring your own water. There are trees providing shady areas throughout the day. If bringing back the key when we are not open, please put it in the Mailbox, located beside our Front Doors. When we are open, our receptionists will gladly take the key back from you! All the fees go directly to the animals in our case, and we are a registered charity and no-kill shelter. Nestled within a secure, chain-link fence, Paw's Paradise spans an expansive area of 90ft by 50ft, providing ample space for dogs to roam, explore, and play to their heart's content. Safety and security are our top priorities, ensuring that your canine companions can enjoy their time at Paw's Paradise with peace of mind. The robust chain-link fence encloses the entire area, keeping your beloved pets safely within the boundaries of the sniffspot. At Paw's Paradise, we have taken extra measures to ensure a pleasant and stress-free experience for both you and your canine companions. Our backyard neighbor has a friendly dog of their own, and to maintain privacy, we have installed a privacy screen along the fence adjacent to their property. This should help prevent any unwanted interactions, although, she still may be heard barking if outside. We invite you to bring your furry pals to Paw's Paradise, where they can bask in the joy of a secure and stimulating environment. We have plenty of space for running around, playing frisbee, fetch, swimming.. whatever your fur baby is after. We are a small farm, which means we have chickens, ducks and goats. We keep our animals in their coops when fur friends are visiting. ***please note; we require notice at least one day in advance if the animals are to be kept in their coops. Otherwise we let them free range*** The creek has an easy entry location. It’s shallow water at that spot. Deeper water in other areas. Our property is sprayed using a food grade insect deterrent. Plus our chickens free range when there are no dogs around. This means very minimal tick sightings. We have children, so expect some toys around. If you’re bringing children, they’re welcome to play on the play structure. (Pending parental approval and supervision). Plenty of muskoka chairs to relax in while your fur baby plays. The road isn’t right beside the area where fur friends run, however it is accessible from the yard. If you have a dog that’s a flight risk or likes to chase cars, this isn’t the right spot for you. We have lots of dog friends that visit unleashed and listen well to their owners with no issues. Any questions, please ask!

Welcome to our Sniffspot! We offer a pesticide free, beautiful and unfenced 5 acre area for you and your dogs. We offer free parking, access to nearby conservation trails, picnic tables, and a beautiful apple orchard to enjoy. During business hours of noon - 6 pm Friday, Saturday and Sunday, we also offer clean restrooms, hard, farm fresh cider, snacks and indoor seating. We are working hard to prepare the area for your visit, some areas might look less than perfect but we keep it safe for you and your furry companions. Nurtured by Nature is a thriving kids summer day camp but currently off season so we are open 7 days a week. So for the safety of the kids and respect to their families we are unable to have the area available while the day camp is open. This is for only 6 weeks in the summer. We are a family with 2 dogs; Charlie is an Australian Sheppard mix and Gracie is a Chocolate Lab. We have a large fully fenced in backyard with a locked gate that we would like to share with you and your dog or dogs for fun and exercise. Our neighbor also has doggy's and may or may not be outside in their yard when you arrive. This is a dog friendly neighborhood, so you may hear barking occasionally. We have a large fully fenced yard for dogs to run and burn off energy and have lots of dog toys available for them to play with. In the summer months, we have a large doggy pool readily available for your furry friend to enjoy and cool off in. We will have dog bowls with water always available for your four legged companion to drink if they get thirsty. Doggy poop bags are provided if needed to clean up after your pooch and a garbage can to drop it into before you leave. Please help to keep our yard clean for the next visitor. Our yard is also child friendly and wheelchair accessible, so feel free to bring your whole family. We have a concrete patio with lots of seating and a fire table to enjoy in the colder months. We can make your visit as private as you wish or if your dog would like to have a playmate, we can have our dogs join you in the yard. Just let us know ahead of time. Also on site is a hot tub. For an extra fee of $10, we can make it available to use while your doggy's play. Let us know ahead of your visit if you also would like to book the hot tub. Maximum time in the hot tub is 20 minutes. This allows us to time to chlorinate the hot tub afterwards to keep it clean and ready for use next time. It's a great way to relax and unwind. Please note: We do not have a change room on site to use, so you will need to bring swimwear underneath your clothing and a towel to use to dry off with.
