55Such a nice spot! The goats and chickens are so funny and there’s plenty of space to sit and hang out. Also toys for the dogs, beverages for the humans and a parking spot right up front. We will be back!
55This is such a unique and fun experience. Both my senior dog and 2 year old dog had a great time and it was an easy way to break up the monotony of the week. The yard was also bigger than I expected and the host very kindly left out sodas and waters for me. We will definitely book again.
55Great spot for sniffing and running around! My dog loved it. Host was very welcoming as well!
15unfortunately i didn't feel safe letting my dog off leash here. there was open and full gasoline cans at dog level and a raised platform with stairs at fence level that my dog would have jumped over. i wish i had taken photos of the gasoline but there was a person on the property and i didn't feel comfortable. i wish i didn't have to leave a review like this but this space felt very unsafe for my dog - i would have felt much safer at a public dog park. however i do think this is probably a great spot for a lot of dogs (as long as the gasoline isn't around!) and i have no doubt this was probably just a mistake on the hosts part and they meant no harm but i did feel the need to let anyone know who doesn't want to risk the same experience happening.
55Gator had a blast at the farm. She met some goats and chickens and got to run around chasing her ball. The boat was very accommodating and even left out toys and treats. This was our first Sniff Spot. Highly recommend!
55We and our dogs LOVED the urban farm!! Our city dogs had never seen a goat or chicken before so they went a little crazy but the animals were very patient 😂 the spot also had tennis balls, a ton of space to run and sniff, and a couple beers for us 🙌 Our dogs came home super tired and we're very happy. Will definitely come back soon!
55Arrived with easy accessible parking. We were greeted by the owner who ensured we had a great time. The yard was spacious with plenty of amenities for both pups and humans! There are farm animals (goats and chickens) that are caged, but do not seem to mind visitors. Would absolutely return. Highly recommend!!! Our pups had a great time exploring and playing.
55We had a great time!
55Such a beautiful urban property here in Chicago! Amazed every time. Great mental enrichment for my dogs and for myself!
55Super accommodating and beautiful space.

Notice: We are closing the spot on May 23rd for maintenance. Sorry for the inconvenience. Grass and rain: Please keep in mind that during moderate to heavy rains the area without mulch can get muddy. Beginning May of 2024, we will post pictures daily to our Instagram account showing the condition of the spot. As you can imagine, due to the wear and tear the spot gets, it’s difficult to keep the grass alive. However, we do our best to reseed during the spring. BarkPark sits right across the street from The Salvation Army Freedom Center. This spot is fully fenced (chain link and wood) with the side facing the sidewalk being 5ft and the rest of the fence being 6ft. There is a dual-gate entrance to the spot for a safe entry and exit. Street parking is available. There is plenty of seating at this spot with shade throughout the day. There's a rain barrel filled with water for dogs to hydrate and cool down. We have water bowls available. GIANT sandbox that's great for digging and playing; no digging elsewhere please. On hot days, we do our best to keep the sand wet. Trash can onsite. We have poop bags available in two different areas for easy access. Half of this spot is covered with grass and the other half with playground mulch. This spot is big enough to get a good fetch session in or to just let the zoomies out. We also recently added agility equipment. We hope you and your four-legged friend/s have an exceptional time during your visit and choose to come back. Lost toys and items: Due to the amount of visits we get we aren’t able to track which items belong to which guest. If you’ve lost a dog toy or other item, please reach out and we’ll do our best to retrieve it and hold it for you. If you don’t reach out, we’ll hold onto it for a week and then add it to the Lost and Found Toy Box. Water: The dog drinking water gets changed 1-2 times per week, depending on the temperature/usage. During the winter months we empty the water barrel. If your dog/s require water during the winter months, we ask that you please bring your own. Food: You’re welcomed to bring food but we ask that you please clean up as a courtesy to other guests. Future additions: We hope to add more amenities over time. Our plans are to add more sand to the sandbox in late April or early May of 2024. We’re also hoping to have on-site parking around mid summer of 2024. If you have any suggestions for amenities, we’d love to hear your feedback.
