Description

Partially fenced stream-side trails on 60-acre working livestock farm. Wide walking trails with trees, open spaces to run, and access to streams and a pond. If you want to do a full hike, you could easily spend several hours and not have to backtrack! Physical check-in with the owner or a farm worker is required for your first visit, and recommended for subsequent visits. You will be provided with a map and information on where livestock is located, so you can plan your time to avoid areas if needed to ensure your pet’s safety and happiness. All livestock areas are securely fenced to ensure the animals stay put, but we know some pets can become overstimulated, so we want you to have the best experience possible.

The fence is 4 ft feet and features metal grate between fence posts for added protection and security for your pup. Users will have access to the deck area and screened in porch. Deck has a table you are welcome to eat and sit at. The screened in area features a sectional couch and overhead fan. Please note dogs are not allowed in the screened in area of the porch. Each guest will receive complimentary drinks and snacks. For the dogs, you will have everything you need. My husband and I have a little peace of heaven here in the Shenandoah Valley! Our goal is to provide a space for all dogs to play, run and sniff away! We have a huge field with a platform/ramps, tug rope, agility poles, stick collection, hidden container with treats and possibly a prize toy! We host many special events for pups as well as birthday parties for your pups! I spent many years volunteering, fostering and ultimately adopting many animals from rescue non-profits over the years. Throughout all of the years I spent in animal rescues, I realized that most dogs don’t get much time outside of the kennels. I also came to understand that many rescue animals have trauma related behaviors and cannot integrate with other dogs. I feel so grateful to be able to provide a space for dogs to be off leash and have the freedom to explore! Also, it is a significant bonding experience for pups and their parents to have this special time together! Our dogs are in a separate fenced area but because I feel this time is for you and your pup(s), I will put my pups in the house so they are not visible to you and your pups.
