55This is a lovely, quiet property with a fenced area for free play and a large unfenced area for walking on leash in meadows, woods, and around corralled horses. The host family is welcoming, friendly and helpful.
55We loved watching/smelling the horses! There were some nice shady trees up the hill along the driveway which were perfect to cool off under on this hot summer day and take in the views of the horses, barn, and land. We (on leash) followed a little trail through the tall grass surrounding the fenced in backyard and walked more towards the front of the property down by the barn and road. There is a trail that is in the back of the property and leads up into the woods, but my dog was more pre-occupied with the front portion of the property. A couple of safety tips to know before you go- be aware there is an electric fence (for the horses) and you might see a cat outdoors on the property. During our visit, we saw a cat hanging out in one of the little barns/sheds by the driveway who was super chill. The cat minded its own business and didn’t seem to mind us walking by, but if you have a dog who does not like cats you should know you might see one. We got the chance to chat with one of the hosts who came outside and greeted us, which as 1st time Sniffspot users ourselves made us feel much more at ease. The host shared we happened to be their first Sniffspot guests and provided a little bit of helpful information about the property, offered us water, and disposed of our poop bag for us. My dog loved getting pets and extra attention from the host, who was friendly and kind. The group that happened to be working down with the horses at the time also were nice and waved to us while we watched/passed by. We had a great time and would recommend this Sniffspot location to others.
