15Rented this area for private hiking around the property as described. Even went inside the office to clarify exactly where I was allowed to go with my animals. Not private. Other people renting out fields at the same time as myself with multiple off leash dogs. One of the fields was occupied by a working dog group and the hosts are lucky my dogs were under control and e collar trained- so they did not pursue the other dogs on the field when we happened upon them but an unsuspecting individual could very well get bit by a working dog or enter into a dog fight they did not sign up for- thinking they had the area to themselves to safely let their dogs run when in reality there could be other dogs present in fields and open spaces. Feels like they are purposely renting the space out to multiple people at the same time- unbeknownst to the visitors.
55Very helpful when I got a little lost 😅 5 out of 5 stars for sure! My German Shepherd’s had a great time, the lake was definitely a plus!
35Our dogs had a great time being able to run around near the water. I wish there was an updated aerial photo of where you can and cannot go. We tried to go on the opposite side of the pond where the “training field” is but a gentleman told us we were not allowed over there so that cut our acreage in half. A little overgrown as other comments have said but seems like have recently cut it near the pond area which was appreciated. Great area for dogs to get out and swim if they wanted!!
55Great open space for our dog to roam!
35It was nice to give my dogs a spot to swim, but it’s kind of run down looking, and there was a training event happening in one field so we weren’t able to use that. I would probably go back but was hoping for it to be a bit more up kept.
55AMAZING sniffspot! Our golden retriever absolutely loved swimming in the lake which was very clean with an easy shallow entry into it. Did not walk around the lake to explore further, but most of it has high, natural vegetation around it and only saw one cleared area to enter. It is a pet boarding facility so you do hear dogs barking but did not affect us at all! Staff was friendly and came out to tell us which lake was for dog swimming and which was for fishing and we did utilize both. They even set up a hose for us to wash our dog off after! Would suggest bringing beach chairs or towels to sit on if you’re planning on staying awhile, picnic area near lake is not well kept. There is some kind of training field across the lake and several cars drove out between the two lakes so keep in mind if your dog is off leash. We will definitely be back!!
55Great communication. Very clean. Beautiful easy entry into the lake for my 14-year-old dog. Highly recommended will definitely go again.
45Overall this is a nice spot. There is a bit of access to the pond and several cleared areas and shade. Be aware much of the area surrounding the pond is natural and not cleared. We saw a few deer as well. The area across the pond where perhaps some training events were held has some hazards and we saw sharp stakes exposed from old equipment and nails popping out on the shed deck. I'd avoid that area. The picnic area and the gazebo are not well kept. We used long lines as the area is not fenced. It is a nice large space to explore.
55Lovely large area to roam with mowed open space, forest area and big pond. Something for everyone. We kept a long line on our dog since his recall is poor and we weren't sure of where the fence was. Doggo loved the pond. Some of the items seen in pictures not in best shape (Gazebo, picnic area) but we weren't interested in those so didn't mark down
45This was a great spot. I had to contact the host before visiting to make sure i was in the right spot. They responded back and gave good instructions (whole purple area is the sniff spot). The fenced in area was not available with recent AKC events, so we enjoyed the lake and the areas around it. Lots of tall, wet grass. Boots advised. Dogs did enjoy playing in the lake for a bit and of course sniffing. You can hear dogs in the background at the kennel.

Fall 2024 Updates: With the rainy weather mushrooms may be present, we do our best to dispose of them but if you see them don't let your dog eat them as they can cause GI upset or be harmful. It's also acorn drop season and our large oak tree is dropping a lot of them. Acorns are not safe for dogs to eat. If your dog likes to eat stuff our yard might not be the best fit during this season. We want our pup friends to have a safe fall. Hi! I'm Alyssa, a rescue dog owner with a ~1/3 acre yard perfect for your dog to enjoy! We have a mix of gardens, grass, mulch, and leaf areas great for sniffing and playing fetch and a bin full of fun toys and treats. We have a special basket of small dog toys upon request. We provide cold water for humans, bug spray, and hand sanitizer. We spray our yard every 5 weeks with a natural oil mix to help reduce mosquitos, fleas, and ticks. Reactive dog owners should note that our neighbors on both sides have dogs that may or may not be outside during your visit. They are all friendly but will probably bark. (No dogs live in the yard with the chain link but there are visible dogs two yards over) We provide a bucket of extra treats to help with training and distraction. Our girl loves a "sniffari" where you hide treats around the yard to sniff out. ⭐️ Important notes ⭐️ 🐶 All dogs must be FULLY vaccinated (Rabies, Parvo, Bordetella, DHPP) Please do not book unless you are sure your dog has all their shots. Puppies less than 4 months old that are still building up vaccines should stay at home. ⭐️ Dogs MUST be leashed when entering and exiting the yard. Our neighbor across the street has a few outdoor cats we want to keep safe. 🍃 Please do not let your dog eat or chew any of the plants in the yard. No excessive digging. 🌻 Please do not enter the gated garden area on the other side of the house. We keep our quail coop and turtle enclosure in this area and don't want them startled. Feel free to look in from the gate though. 🍺 Per Sniffspot's rules, no alcohol is allowed, and please no smoking.
