Additional rules
Just a couple quick deTAILS:
1. Please discourage digging.
2. No professional dog training sessions. Trainers interested in using our property for sessions must contact us directly to make arrangements. Training sessions may NOT be booked through SniffSpot.
3. Off leash does not mean out of control. Please be sure your dog responds to your commands before allowing them off leash. There may be areas in the gates that dogs under 30lbs can squeeze through. Occasionally, the fence may be low in an area due to deer frequently crossing. While we strive to repair this as soon as we notice it, occasionally, it may be missed initially, and the fence may be low enough for a dog to jump if a squirrel catches their eye. This is why it is important to keep your dog leashed if they are NOT command trained.
4. Our property is almost fully wooded, while not required, we recommend a tick and heartworm prevention/protection for your dog. Along with woods comes mosquitoes. We offer repellent, but you may also bring your own. Please remember, we are a wooded Sniffspot. If you are not the outdoorsy type, our spot may not be for you.
5. Please keep Trail Entrance gate closed and LATCHED at all times.
6. Please do not drive up the private driveway. Parking is on the grass, immediately to your left after pulling through the driveway gate. You will see a sign for parking and trails on your left.
7. Our property is a working homestead. There are farm animals. The donkey is in his own enclosure, but is visable. The chickens, turkeys, and ducks typically stay in front but may occasionally wander onto the trails and this js beyond our control. We understand accidents may happen so please just let us know if your dog gets a bird. If you are uncertain how your dog will react to farm animals, please keep them leashed for the first visit to monitor their behavior.
