25This is a beautiful spot and could be one of our favs. Unfortunately there was a lot of horse manure and one of our dogs took a big roll in a pile, and the other decided to see if it was tasty. The grass was very high and difficult to maneuver. We found the directions very confusing--they really need some signage.
55Love the spot, hosts were great
55What a lovely place. Our 4 pups had a great time running all over. It was clean, quiet, and they provided water for our thirsty crew. We will definitely be back!
55Our doggos had an absolute blast!! Lots of room to run and lots to explore!!
55Second time here. Other than Frankie not staying outta the water bowl it was great!
55What a fantastic spot!! It has a gentle hillside that gave all of us an enjoyable little workout, a sunny meadow with tall grass and English daisies, and a row of beautiful evergreen trees that provide relief from the hot sun. It also has a small spring, which our dogs loved running through. This spot has so much to offer for dogs who need ample room to run and explore. The farm animals were adorable yet in their pen far enough away from our highest prey-drive dog that we were able to call him away when we felt he was venturing a little too close. I could see a couple hour session on a hot summer day. We'd bring camp chairs and hike them over to the wooded area, (they do provide a couple hammocks), along with water bottles (water for the dogs is provided), and we could enjoy a refreshing little slice of country paradise in a fully-fenced area. We loved every minute here and are excited to return. Thanks, Erin, for sharing your beautiful place!
55Dreamy and welcoming property! The grounds are so peaceful. Of course the sniff spot is for the dogs, but I equally look forward to hopping in the car and heading over! The hosts are super kind and helpful and communication is always prompt. 10 stars! We love this place!
55Loved it! Lots of space for the dogs to run, secure fencing, and a nice atmosphere. Our dogs tired out that much faster from playing fetch uphill. When we visited the grass had gotten pretty tall and it was a bit challenging for them to find the balls sometimes, but overall everyone had lots of fun.
55A beautiful setting, clean and well fenced.
55What a fun night! A fire pit, special dog treat, and a beautiful location. Very worth the add-ons and the drive out. Erin & Aaron were extremely hospitable.

Description

The pasture has perimeter field fencing. There may on occasion be large animals like sheep or horses grazing in a nearby pasture, DO NOT allow your dog to harass the animals. Any pasture with farm animals should not be entered, there are separate gates to each section of pasture. If you notice animals in the pasture when you've arranged to use it, please knock on the door and we will assist you or direct you to an open pasture.

Cleanliness

90% of guests said this spot was as clean as expected during their visit.

Hazards

This is a pasture used by horses and deer, there will probably be manure. There may be thistles, blackberry vines, or sticker bushes in some sections of the tall grass. There may be mole holes or other uneven ground or stumps in areas. Farm animals may be territorial so be sure to avoid being in the same pasture section with sheep or horses! There are multiple sections for rotational grazing. Please use the section that is not occupied by farm animals. Feel free to ask for more information.

Extras

A stinky chew!$8

We can bring out an assortment of chewy treats (the kind that stink up the whole house) so your dog can pick their favorite and enjoy a chew during their visit. We have a wide assortment of chews that we get from our local pet store, Nature's Pet McMinnville.

Solo Stove and Firewood$35

If the burn season permits: We'll set out some camp chairs, the stove and everything you need to have a campfire : Kindling, paper, dry firewood, a lighter.

Training assistance$75

Need a few extra hands with training? We get it! We can assist you in desensitizing your dog to strange people, other dogs, cars, livestock, bicycles, tents, ATVs, leaf blowers, fireworks, etc, through controlled exposure in a safe environment. We recommend that you involve your dog trainer in the strategy but we have the labor and a variety of tools to work with to help out. Together we’ll make sure your puppy has a good first experience with everything they see!

Magickal Ladybug Haven 2 Acre Fully Fenced Private Dog Park In Newberg

Magickal Ladybug Haven is a little slice of Heaven on Earth, conveniently located 2 miles from the city center of Newberg off Hwy 240 and Red Hills Road. I have a lounge in the open air barn for you to relax, enjoy your coffee or wine. There is a view of the top pasture. I also have a large table with chairs under the Old Oak Tree with view of lower pasture. Please bring acrylic glasses as I do not permit glass in the area. I have 2 horses in the front pasture, you will see when driving down the cathedral tree lined driveway. I ask you to go slow as we do have barn cats, critters, and a 15 year old rescue American Staffordshire, whose deaf and his hind end is a bit shaky. He will be in/or put in when you arrive with your dog(s). Due to this spot being my horses' rotation pasture, PLEASE, NO Diggers. I won't risk an injury to myself or my horses by an unseen hole. Thank you in advance! Please clean the dookie (poop) up if your dog goes dookie in the pasture, like you would the dog park or at home. It's no fun for anyone who steps in it (it's not like horse poop at all, as you know). There are other people, dogs, myself and my horses and my mower that are now enjoying/using this space. I have a lined trash can in the open air barn and extra dookie bags hanging above the trash can. If you have forgotten yours, please use on of ours. Thank You in advance! There are times that I may have to do work on the property, or someone in the household may be out on the veranda of our house, or have to come or go during your reservation. Our cars are parked on the asphalt between open air barn and our garage. We are always respectful, and will attempt not to have anything major going on during your reservation. This is our home and farm and are happy to share...and please realize we live here. If there is an issue with this, please book another location. So appreciated! I do have an Airbnb room on site and may have a guest. There are no dogs or children allowed in the house as my rescue dog's trauma was with kids and other dogs. It's his house. There is mud on the other side of gate opening and in pasture when it rains, just so you are aware. I have an additional property/risk waiver for you to sign at check in. You only have to do this on your first visit. I appreciate you obliging. I'm looking forward to meeting you and having your pooch(es) enjoy their sniff time. With Joy and Magick, Melodee
