55We absolutely LOVED this spot! The wooded area is perfect and gives the pups so much room to run and everything is connected, making it easy for them to find me if they lose me! The little touches like the shed with a porch, the bath, toys, and more made this place amazing too! We will definitely be returning here 😄

55This was a great space for a meet and greet between a rescue dog and his new potential family. It was shady, safe and spacious and had a nice spot to sit down and complete adoption paperwork. Next time I will book a longer time slot. The trails were tempting.............
55This was our first ever Sniffspot and they definitely made it worth wild! 4.5 acres completely fenced in with no little spaces for dogs to slip out of *chefs kiss* I can not wait to come back again! The host was so friendly and answered my silly questions almost immediately! Our dog loved every second of it and is already passed out on our drive home😊
55We loved it! I loved the convenience to I-40, that makes it an easy drive from Clemmons or Winston-Salem. Sylvia loved the wide open spaces, tramping through woods, and the freedom of being off leash. There is a great mix of sunny and shaded areas, and a covered picnic area, so you can be comfortable in hot or cold weather. I could spend all day on the swing, in the shade! 5 stars and 2 paws up!
55Had a great time today at Captain's Retreat. Forgot to take pictures but will take some next time. My dog weighs 20 pounds and I felt very secure letting him run loose. Fence and gates are very secure. He had a blast ! The dog washing area is great ! We will absolutely be back !
55This is my favorite place to bring my dogs and just let them be, it’s so much fun seeing them enjoy time outside without having to be leashed. I highly recommend this place they have several toys and treats and several places for people to hang out and watch their dogs.

Captain's Retreat at Bear Creek located off Highway 64 in Mocksville! 4.5 acres of fully fenced (woven mesh wire and post/rail 5.5ft to 6ft high) with trails, woods, field, and plenty of room to run and explore! Open the front gate and drive into the secure parking area. ***CLOSE AND LATCH THE GATE BEHIND YOU BEFORE GETTING YOUR DOGS OUT OF THE CAR!*** Walk through gate into the space from the secure parking area. This area has wooded trails as well as cleared areas. Densely wooded areas and thickets all around. TICK PREVENTION IS A MUST! There are no pesticides or herbicides used here. Only natural horticulture vingear for spot weed control. This area is located beside Bear Creek and when the creek is high or after a good rain IT WILL BE MUDDY on the right side of the property! Dry creekbed located across the back of the property. **The Creek is NOT accessible from the fenced property** -Water hose on site for use. Dog shower/bath area to the right of the shed with dog wash hose attached, shampoo, and wash shammy. Or you may bring your own bath supplies! Feel free to give your dog a shower/bath! ***Just added dog pool*** For use at no extra charge! Fill up/use if you'd like! (It's been stored for the fall/winter...but if you would like to use it...please let me know at time of booking) -Dog water bowl, dog brush, toys, treats, human and dog tick spray provided. All located in large deck box inside the gate. -Bring doggy towels in case of mud or bathing! -Porch swing and seating areas with a shed deck, gas grill, picnic table and hammock at the top of the property. -Chair/table area at the bottom of rock trail. At the end of the cleared field is a 2 single seat swing set and hammocks by the bridge. **Stick Library** -**NEW** we have expanded the field area to fence in the hill! Bugg's Pet Taxi is offering up our fully fenced yard to sniff! Come lay in the grass and watch the birds or bark at the squirrels (those pesky squirrels!). There are sunny and shady spots to enjoy (see photos)! We provide a water dish for your doggo that is refreshed after each booking. Enjoy our patio and umbrella. We have plenty of room for training (or zoomies!). Feel free to charge your phone. Check back because we will be adding amenities in the future.

Mutts and Wiggle Butts is perfect for the pet who needs a break to run and play or for someone who needs safety for dogs and children to play. Feel free to let your pet run through the fenced yard and explore. The yard is mowed weekly and may have some bare spots and occasionally dog poop. We are not fancy. We love Mutts and all Wiggle Butts. Big or little, there is something for everyone. We are around a mile off Hwy 85 and Business 85. A bench, covered porch, seating, and cold bottles of water are always included. There is a fire pit on site and add this to your reservation to roast some smores or toast your wiggle butt. There is a mini fridge on the back porch with water bottles for you and your fur friends. Plenty of parking. Please park where the owners can still access both carports.
