55We had a great visit at Mindy’s Sniff Park. We have a young German Shepherd and he needs lots of activity. He enjoyed the toys and all the fresh clean water. What a great location and with easy access. We enjoyed the sitting area too. We look forward to visiting again soon.
55Lots of space for high energy dog to run. Completely fenced with covered area and chairs for dog parents.
55Big open area for dogs to run. There is a place for their people to sit down. Huge tubs of fresh water were provided and appreciated. Dogs also enjoyed the tennis balls they found at the spot.
55Great space with toys, a seating area, and room to run. The host is extremely kind!
55Our two pups are antisocial so can't go to the dog park. We have a yard but it's not huge. This sniff spot is a great open (but fully fenced) area for them to run, and we appreciated the covered area when the skies opened. Definitely recommend, and will definitely return.
55Fantastic, private spot that has plenty of room for the pups to play. My boys had a blast and we can't wait to come back!
55This spot was just the right size for 3 medium dogs to run, run, run! The dogs had a great time and we will be back.
55My pup and I have been coming here since they opened this summer. He just loves it here. The pool is definitely his favorite part. Plenty of space to get his wiggles out, toys to play with, and there is a nice shaded area with chairs that the owners added.
55It’s so beautiful and peaceful there. Mindy is very kind and considerate. There’s comfy places to sit where you’re protected from the sun and the rain. My very traumatized dog is always her happiest when she’s there.
55Peaceful spot

****IMPORTANT: all prices listed are in USD and guests will be charged in USD so it is around 15 canadian*** This is a mostly open area farm field. Space includes a small wooded area within the fenced area. Bathroom available on site in the smaller barn. SMOKE FREE ZONE. Pick up after dogs, garbage bin provided. There are a few seniors visiting with mobility issues which is taken into consideration when there is poop left behind. You can always message me and let me know a general area and I can try to run out and pick it up between the next visit. There are some small gaps in the fence, so this is a great spot for large and medium sized dogs. Not a spot recommended for small dogs or severely reactive. Please keep dogs leashed until it is your time slot and are in the designated area and keep in mind you may pass another dog owner with their dog on a leash leaving or entering the spot. IF YOU CAN NOT CONTROL YOUR DOG ON A LEASH WHEN PASSING ANOTHER DOG PLEASE DO NOT BOOK THIS SPOT. Lots of seniors visit this spot and they may need some extra time to walk to their cars. For the most part spacing between guests has been good. Please read the essential rules the website has suggested in order to keep this a fun and safe place for dogs. Guests can be blocked from booking again if they do not respect the space or who are rude to me. Please check the spot descriptions for all details regarding animals on the property. Do not book after you read the description if you think it is not a proper fit for your dog. My phone number is 2509208914 and my dad's is 2508962860. Text or call if at anytime you need anything. This number is repeated in multiple places, including the welcome message. SPRING AND SUMMER ANNOUNCEMENTS *We will be adding a doggy splash pad and a kiddie pool with fresh water as an add on option. *shade umbrellas are out of storage and I just have to wash them... so they are coming very soon. *I am in the works of creating a full enclosed cat park. So if you are also a cat person or know a cat person please share my other link to book through the Swimply App. Similar to sniff spot but the insurance coverage is slightly different for cats ahah. You can also book that spot for puppy training, as it will be a more controlled smaller space 18 ft long. This will have a little drawing table/play kitchen/play house for kids set up in the corner, and chairs. For people who don't have cats you can still book the space and visit my two friendly orange cats. The orange cats on the property are very people/kid friendly. The black/white cats are loving only to immediate family members. Thank you to all our visitors. It's been wonderful seeing so many happy dogs.

IMPORTANT: all prices listed are in USD and guests will be charged in USD Hello friends! Our spot is taking a break for the winter. We will see you in February or so when the rains and muds subside. Wishing you the best! We are so excited to welcome you here! Once you book, please tell us a little bit about your dog and their needs. We’d love to hear feedback about the meadow and anything we can do to make it a great experience for your pup and you. GETTING HERE 9420 West Saanich Rd - This is the first driveway north of Ardmore golf course on the west side of West Saanich. - Drive up the long driveway, take the sudden left turn at the farmhouse, and straight ahead another 3 metres is the SniffSpot meadow -Park there (you'll see a chalkboard sign) - The meadow is on your left THE MEADOW - this is a fully-fenced 1/2 acre with 5ft tall fences resting a few inches off the ground. It is secure for small dogs. - it is a shady spot with dappled sunlight, full of deciduous ornamental trees, wild mint, and grasses - there is a flock of chickens next to the dog meadow, visible but protected by fencing AMENITIES - water and a dog bowl are at the front of the gate. Pig Beach (near Port Ludlow)

A .63 acre dog sanctuary for you and your pup. The yard is well maintained with dog friendly grass and has incredible views of the Hood Canal and Puget Sound. If you're interested, there is private beach access for you and your pup to explore miles of beach (public but almost always empty). There are numerous dog toys available and a massive 6+ person, dog friendly couch (late Spring to early Fall) you can relax on and watch the canal when you need a break! Regarding the beach, there are approximately 50 steps which you will need to climb up and down to access the beach so please wear proper footwear. As this is on the Hood Canal and not a lake or a pond, tides impact the size of the beach. If you are hoping to walk endless miles of beach, the tide will need to be at 2ft or below. Anything under 4ft will give you a massive area (probably 1/2 mile or more) and almost guaranteed private area as only people with stairs can access the beach at this tide level. Though the beach is open at any point, I think the maximum height you would probably want to go is about 6.5ft. This still gives you and your dog a decent sized area to play in (approximately 500ft by 30ft or 1/2 acre). Photos 16 and 17 show the beach at 6.25ft with a very large sandy area for you and your pup to play in. Anything above 6.5 ft is not recommended as the beach just gets thinner and thinner, but you're able to try if you want. (no refunds given if you don't like what you find). You are responsible for checking out the tides before you go. Legally, I can't recommend any specific source for you to use, but you might find good information Googling "tide chart port ludlow". Regarding ADA Accessibility, my property is on a gently sloping hill. To access it, there are 2 very wide concrete steps to get to the grass. This would be doable for someone on crutches and probably ok for a regular wheelchair if you had a second person to help lower you to each step and pull you up. It's definitely not accessible to a motorized wheelchair. Sorry. Note - restroom is only available if I'm home, otherwise there is one approximately 2 miles northwest at the gas station in Port Ludlow
