55The field was large enough for my dog to really stretch out and get some good runs.
55The spot was great and Karen was very helpful! There’s an awesome fenced in portion for dogs with less reliable recall and the main field is perfect for sniffs!
45My dogs and I love this place. It was hot so suggest you bring some H2O with you for hot pups!
55Great place to let your dogs run!!
55I took my 3 dogs here and it was great, 2 are reactive but we had no issue with it being partially fenced because we could go far from the opening. If you have a dog that actively will look for ways out then it won’t work for you. Plenty of space away from the hosts house. I will be coming back!
55We loved the big open field and the big area with trees to explore!
55Wonderful open fields which are perfect for fetch. They have toys, water and trash can so it's a great spot with amenities. Can't wait to visit again.
55What a great space to run around and get some energy out. Big plus for having the extra fenced option!
55Perfect space to let the pups get their energy out!
55The fenced in area was a great size for kicking around a small soccer ball for my Aussie (who is not always reliable about bringing the ball back). Fields were well kept and clean.

Description

Reopening my Sniffspot. Still working to catch up on mowing and trimming. 3 plus acres of open field mostly flat and then slopping down a gradual grade. Trees surround the pasture giving a secluded area away from roads or sight of other properties. This is country living with all the country smells to sniff. Lots of room to run and play. Room for multiple dogs and families to enjoy their pets, yet private with no other dogs here when you are enjoying time with your pet. Have a great time. New: afternoon sunshade wall, will add extra chairs, and a large 100 gallon water tub for your dogs to cool or play. Long and short grass for your dog to romp. Plenty of critters for your dogs to chase. Mole, voles, gophers. You might see an occasional deer. Enjoy the open, quiet atmosphere. Reminder:: there is a blue mailbox next to the gate by the fenced area. There are some supplies in there, like poop bags, hand sanitizer and other. The wind blows so bad it unrolls the little bags when I have them out. I will get another lid for the waste container.

Cleanliness

100% of guests said this spot was as clean as expected during their visit.

Hazards

I am hard of hearing and may not hear when you arrive. If any of my dogs are out drive up to the green mobile and honk until I come out I will secure my dogs. My dogs will not be loose when I am not home. (In the kennels). Or in the house. On the sign “in pink” is an off area. No one appeared to use that wooded area, so should not affect anyone. There are other wooded areas to explore. Enjoy your visit.

Extras

Hike up the mini forest

Our property is shy of 12 acres, 9+ acres of which we're sharing as a private off leash dog space or Sniffspot. The entrance is over the bridge where the creek is and 'From Creek to Back of Property' is all yours to explore. You may unleash your doggies right after the bridge and chain the gate if you want. Dogs might run down the creek for a splash or drink. Continue on to our family campground, there are picnic tables you could use. Then, up the hill you go to 'hike up the mini forest', free to roam around, listen to the birds, squirrels and other critters and sounds that nature brings you. You'll find seating areas while your dogs are at play, feel free to use them. Enjoy a picnic with your loved ones if you're up for it on one of the cabin porches or covered / uncovered picnic tables. The back of property behind fence is DNR land, so rest assured you’re on your own private little world with your furry buddies. The mini forest has some large walking paths and smaller trails scattered about, also some open meadows and is at a peaceful wooded setting. This is where I go to unwind and relieve my head of stress and worries. It’s my place of meditation, while my dogs sniff and romp around like crazy, do their zoomies and play hide n seek! *If you want to save a little bit of moolah, check out Sniffpass. Forget about the gym, you'll get your exercise here with your dogs. If you have older dog/s and would like to drive below the hill to park so the fur buddy don't get exhausted, message me.* Some of you have asked about the cabins. Sniffspot is unavailable if Cabins are booked or vice versa. Booking is through Hipcamp (www.hipcamp.com). Name of listing: 'Grace E.'s Mini Forest Cabins'. Check it out by copying and pasting link below to browser or Search listing through the hipcamp site. https://www.hipcamp.com/en-US/land/washington-grace-e-s-mini-forest-ex9hrrp8?shareid=1ddvuyvr3yh Saturdays are usually blocked if there's Hipcamp bookings. But I would unblock the hours for Sniffspot use if that day isn't booked for Hipcamp, so please try to check back, who knows that day might be available! Anyway, hope you too will enjoy your little 'hike up the mini forest..'
