55Flat, open field that is fenced completely which my dogs loved! Tons of toys. Freshly scrubbed water bowls with filtered water. I could throw the chuck-it as gar as possible and still have plenty of room. The owner is so nice and really enjoys seeing the dogs having fun. Will be coming here whenever I'm in Valley Center.
55So much fun!
55Another wonderful day with our dogs here. They absolutely love it! So much space to make the long, hard runs and play with each other. Caren is a wonderful host. We hope to be back again before our trip is over. 😊 (The attached photo only shows half of the available space to play.)
55really awesome spot! we had a lot of fun, great place to just let your dogs be dogs and run around for a bit. very peaceful for us too nice place to sit and get some shade. Caren was great at welcoming us onto the property and showing us around very friendly.
55The field is nicely kept up. There are a few foxtails, but nothing I couldn't handle.
55Boaz had another fun visit! The field is safe and secure for unleashed play and running. We especially loved being able to walk around the property so he could say hi to the goats and mini horses ☺️
55On our second visit, Caren met up with us at the Sniff Spot area to chat and offered us a walk through the full property. One of the dogs even took a dip in the pond as we walked through. We all loved it! We are here for a week and will definitely return! Lots of toys available, sunscreen, bug spray, hand sanitizer, disinfecting wipes, tissue, paper towels…nice touch! 😊
55Caren was absolutely amazing! She was able to accommodate for my reactive dog by allowing me to greet her outside of the car, she showed us where to park and how to open the gate and left. Aries had an absolute blast it was amazing to see him running freely despite his reactivity. We did see a man on a tractor and people walking by but it didn’t phase Aries. We will definitely be back and i recommend you to bring your pets here especially if they are reactive!
55Caren met us at the gate to let us in and show us around. Everything was great! Our dogs loved having the run of 3 acres to get in those long, hard runs. Caren provided everything! Multiple large buckets of filtered water (which left some clean water to drink for the others (since one of our dogs likes to soak her feet and face in the drinking water!). Bug spray, sun screen, poop bags, MANY toys hand sanitizer, etc. A shade structure with picnic table is provided as well as many shade trees on the perimeter of the area that the dogs can take advantage of. Safe fencing surrounded the area so we didn’t have to worry about the safety of our dogs. We are in town for a week and will definitely be going back. 😊
55!!!! Host keeps prices low to keep it affordable for humans and their dogs to enjoy this amazing field... PICK UP AFTER YOUR DOGS POOP and DON'T LEAVE SCATTERED KIBBLES IN THE FIELD !! Scattered food attracts wildlife, and is a hazard to dogs with sensitive stomachs, the host resident dogs, and food allergies. This host should not be picking up guests dog poo!!! Please help keep this spot nice and clean for everyone to enjoy 🙏🙏🙏

Description

The Sniffspot Field is a 3 acre fully fenced area that you and your dog will have unsupervised access to for the time that you have booked. There is fresh filtered (RO) water and access to toys in this area at all times in addition to other listed amenities. The entire farm is 36 fenced acres. For anyone interested, I will gladly provide supervised walks around the entire property for additional enrichment at no additional cost. Palmhill is a working organic farm. There may be an occasional worker sighting, but absolutely no reason for any employee to ever interact with a guest or their dogs. My interests lie in offering an affordable, large, safe, clean, offleash venue for guests and their canine companions. Thanks to an awesome group of guests who have been with us since first opening the venue, this has been a very rewarding experience. There has been, however, a few guests who have not been doing a very good job of cleaning up after their own dogs which makes it very unpleasant for the guests who come in to the venue next. I have many visitors who pick up dog droppings and don't say a word, and return toys and balls to the recepticles, but they shouldn't have to! I actually had a guest say, "Oh, I thought you had people to do that!" No, everyone is responsible for cleaning up after themselves before they leave. That's how we keep the venue tidy and affordable! I don't think that's unreasonable. I've had to post a list of reminders at the venue, thank you, Michele, which I feel terrible about because they're not relevant for the MAJOROTY of Palmhill's guests. It's just a handful of newer guests who aren't being very team friendly. I've met some awesome people and even more so awesome dogs, but sorry to say, if you don't play fair, you will be asked not to come back to this venue. 🐾❤️🐾

Host replied: It was lovely seeing you and your very expressive boy again! You are aware are you not that the entire farm is fenced, providing an excellent opportunity for Boaz to be off leash when you take him on the trail; just a suggestion...Nice seeing you all.🐾❤️🐾

I'm delighted too that he wasn't bothered in the least by any of the end-of-a-busy-work-day-activities going on outside the venue either! What a good boy, Aries! Thank you for your review, recommendation, and support! It was my pleasure to host your visit to Palmhill today and hope to see you and Aries again! 🐾♥️🐾

Host replied: Thank you so much, Michele for these important reminders! I'm disappointed that anyone would hide kibbles in the Field! As you say, it attracts unwanted wildlife, and causes a hazard for guests' dogs, as well as our own. I can understand someone losing track of an occasional dog dropping, but in an effort to keep the venue clean for everyone to enjoy, at times, I'm picking up more poop than I should have to. And, please return all toys and balls to the appropriate recepticles before you leave for the day. Thanks so much for your continued support!
