45My dogs had a lot of fun
55Great space with lots of room to run! The boys loved it and the kid was very enamored with the little play house. Do keep an eye out for the brush that has burs in it. My Sheltie somehow found his way into some and we spent part of our visit cutting the burs out from between his toes. But if there's a way to get into anything he will regret...he will do it every time! Thank you for the fun play date!
45We love coming to this 1 acre "field". Jake, our rescue dog, sprints with great joy when the car door opens. The only concern we have is the number of mole holes which could be hazardous for fast running dogs. We know these moles can cause ongoing havoc to landscapes. However, we are willing to partner with you. If you initially fill the holes, we are willing to do due diligence during our stay. Just leave a bucket of soil and shovel, and we can help fill them. If everyone takes this initiative, all dogs will have a safer time in your backyard. With great appreciation, Suzanne Briggs.
35This was easy to get to and exactly as advertised. The only issue we ran into was my dog being covered in burs by the end. He didn’t roll or run through any bushes so we were surprised! We had to spend an hour searching through his fur and a bath afterwards. Just be warned cleanup will have to happen after!
55Such a great spot! TONS of room to throw the ball and explore. Super friendly host. Park-like setting. Room for lots of dogs! Easy access, close to the main road. Fully fenced. My dog wanted to chase every single cyclist that went by and probably eat the friendly ducks (all were safe beyond the fence) Your mileage will probably differ. I loved the kiddie pool, the shady spots and being able to drive in and close a gate behind me. There was even a little play house and an agility ramp! Thank-you for sharing your space!
25We were pretty unhappy with this visit, unfortunately. We’ve visited many times and enjoyed the spot. However, this time was really rough. To start, we were forced to keep our dog on leash 10 minutes into our start time because there were people outside watering plants and standing on the driveway. My dog is reactive, so there was no shot I could let her run around or else someone could have gotten hurt. I would have appreciated if someone would have offered us some sort of compensation or even a reschedule ahead of time since we weren’t able to start on time. About 30 minutes after that, another car showed up and asked if the house was an Airbnb. We weren’t really sure what to say, but offered to pack up so they could unload the car, 15 minutes before our end time. It was really awkward and we were bummed that we only got to play for 30 minutes or so. We’ll use the rest of our credit but probably won’t be back for another visit :(
55Always a great time here. My pup loves the kiddy pool. Plenty of open space to run and throw a ball. I even got to pick some blackberries when I was there. This has become one of our go-to spots.
55Just what we needed this morning! A nice walk from our sister’s home, and our pup had a great time exploring and running and going after frisbee/balls. And the ultimate blackberry tasting option was a treat too. Thx very much for your generosity and ease for us in accessing this lovely spot!
55Great large field and trees for my pup to sniff around! So nice to have a big space for my dog to roam.
55This is a great spot! Plenty of room to run and explore. There was a bucket of toys and a large bowl of water. My dog loved all the sniffs!

Please the area east of the driveway and behind the house and have a good time exploring and playing! There are bunnies, cats and squirrels on the property so we ask that you please restrain your dog for the first 30 seconds or so when entering the property to give those animals a chance to react to the presence of a new animal. 3 separate fields- field 1: closest to busy road, least suitable for free-roam incase of delivery or neighbor utilizing third gate on easement. I consider this “the buffer zone”. Best suited for dogs with proper recall skills. Field 2: the best field! It is completely fenced in, private, and safe for dogs 15lbs and up- smaller dogs such as our 9lb dog need to wear a device to recall because fencing is large enough for them to escape through. It is sloped, which is excellent for exercise! There are trees blocking our house and windows for privacy, easy gate access, and accessible water. There is a nice view of Mt. Hood, and a couple of log benches around the property. Field 3: through the first two fields, is our lowest field, a property long and flat, the borders our neighbor’s property. While fenced, the entire property is not entirely marked, using photos on this app for boundaries. Coyotes do roam this lower field on a morning and evening basis weekly, so large dogs with proper recall training are advised only. While it is fenced, you may spend a long time tying to retrieve your pup otherwise! This field is a split property (2 parcels), and the other owners have bee hives! Please be mindful of bees, and maintaining general boundaries (see photos). I will grab some better signs asap, as I am new to this app! Late evenings please watch out for coyotes in this field with smaller dogs. It’s quite rugged, so be mindful of wild animal scat, mole holes, uneven grass. I strongly recommend against use during foggy periods for safety of your pets.

Nature in the City Private Dog Park

Nature in the City is a unique Private Dog Park that is 1 1/2 acres of beautiful natural land with varied landscapes. Our natural setting has different areas including 2 grassy fields perfect for fetch w/discs, ropes, or toys, (balls are not best here due to all of the surrounding bushes), areas great for running, a forested area with several nature trails for a hiking adventure where your dog(s) can run, explore, run & feel free, a large tree’d area that your pups can run under, and a healthy little creek that your pups can wade in, cool off, and drink from. Your dogs will have so many different sniffing and secure off-leash exploring opportunities here! Our spot is so much more than just a fenced field! The area is diverse and so much fun for your dog(s). There are a couple areas on the trails that are a little steep, there’s an area where you have to walk on logs 🪵, and the little creek has to be stepped over, so people with limited mobility may have issues in these areas of the spot. There are plenty of spaces and trails that are suitable for all abilities. If you’re looking for a basic fenced field to play chuck-it then this probably isn’t your spot. We are continually working on our property, so every time you visit it will have more open space, more trails, and less blackberry bushes. We provide a rain/sun shelter with foldable chairs and lots of supplies including dog toys & balls, poop bags, hand sanitizer, natural bug spray, wipes, hand towels, cornhole, 2 lounge chairs, 4 folding chairs. a kids size picnic table, and fresh drinking water for your pups. There are open areas with sun ☀️, and there is shade all day due to many large trees. Our property is fully secure with 5 to 6 ft fencing. We are located close-in on the Westside of Vancouver one mile from I-5 on 78th Street in West Hazel Dell near Felida. *Seasonal Attention-We have baby bunnies on our property. They usually hide really well, but if your pup finds a baby or a nest, please redirect your pup to try to avoid the bunnies from getting hurt. The blackberries are ripe and yummy right now! Feel free to pick some while you’re here! Thank you!
