Welcome to the Blue House Play Park! Easy to find and convenient entrance to the backyard right in front of the driveway. Feel free to park on the drive or in front of the house if parking is available, or anywhere you see fit in the cul-de-sac. You will have uninterrupted time with your pup(s) in my large fenced-in backyard. I have one doggo but won't be outside during your booked time. Feel free to use the hose for water and the trash can to dispose of waste. I have a container of dog toys available for use, as well as added agility equipment for those who wish to do a little training. Feel free to use the hose/wash area to rinse off your dogs paws after play, no need to add the extra for that. The extra is if you want all the other stuff included for a more in depth bathing. The grass in the yard is cut every two weeks during the summer leading into the fall months. There may be some divots/holes in the yard so please watch your footing.

The yard extends from the house to the next street and is fully fenced. It is long enough that my throws don't reach the back fence. The yard also has a patio, deck platform, trampoline, bench swing, shed, chairs, a fire pit, and several trees shading the property. Sticks are plentiful and I've provided a bin with a variety of balls and toys. A bowl of water is provided and a hose spigot is just outside of the gate if needed. Upon request I can provide a dog wading pool, sprinkler, and/or a portable agility kit. Regarding accessibility, a wheelchair would be fine onto the patio by the house, but it would be difficult to traverse the rest of the yard.

Please remember we do not allow digging. If you see your dog digging, please stop them. Thank you 📣 💩 We’ve noticed an increase in the amount of guests not picking up their dog’s poop. As a reminder, we require all guests to clean up before they leave. If you don’t want to clean up, we offer an extra called “Poop Patrol”, you can add this on to your visit and we will clean up for you. If we continue to have issues with poop not getting cleaned up, we will need to increase the price of our spot to compensate us for the additional time we have to spend cleaning between visits. We don’t want to have to do this, so please be respectful and clean up the 💩 📍I believe the neighbors behind us got a new dog and they like to bark. Our fences do not touch, there is probably 10 feet of distance between our fences so there are no worries about fighting through the fence, but you may hear barking sometimes. There is lots of space for your dog(s) to run, and ample room to play fetch. There is plenty of outdoor seating to relax while you watch your dog(s) play and explore. The back right corner of the yard has a play area with a playhouse, caterpillar tunnel, tire tunnel, climbing cube, climbing dome, car bed, the biggest tire you’ve ever seen, and hammock. We also have a bunch of dog toys, including several herding balls of various sizes. Part of our yard is shady and part is sunny. You get the best of both worlds. The pool is completely fenced off from the rest off the yard. You don’t have to worry about your dog(s) accidentally falling in. Our yard is handicap accessible. There are no stairs to climb. The entrance to the backyard is a flat grassy area. The gate leading to the back yard is wide enough for a wheelchair or power chair. The yard has a slight incline, but there are no major obstacles that would prevent a wheelchair from moving around. We are located in Sykesville, MD which is about 30 mins from Baltimore and Columbia. 15 minutes from Owings Mills, Ellicott City, and Westminster.

I am a working horse farm and fields are anywhere from a smaller paddock to about 3 acres. Horses get moved around so location changes as to what is available. No climb 4'6" fencing, however there are spots a small dog can get under. Better situation for dogs that have a call back and are not gamey as I have many farm animals they could come in contact with if are not with owner. I have a toilet in the barn for use, plenty of electric outlets and water. Wash stall can also be used for hot water baths after visit. Dogs must be obedient to owners and non animal or human aggressive. You can also walk around the outside of the property on leash and go into Earleville state park land directly behind me.

The dog park is only for the use and enjoyment of dogs and their owners. Recreational use by others is not permitted. Professional dog trainers may not use this facility in the conduct of their business. 2. Users must have a valid city dog park permit, visible while using the dog park. Dogs must be current on Rabies and Distemper vaccines and be deemed healthy by a licensed veterinarian. 3. All children must be supervised. Children under 8 years of age are strongly discouraged from being in the dog park. 4. Owners/handlers must maintain control of their dog(s) and are responsible for damage or injury inflicted by their dog(s). Owners must stop their dog(s) from digging holes and immediately fill any holes dug. 5. Owners/handlers must remain inside, with leash, within view and voice control of their dog(s) at all times. Pinch collars are not permitted. Dogs must be leashed before leaving the dog park. 6. Owners of unaltered dogs (not spayed or neutered) should disclose this to the other owners present. Dogs that are in heat are not permitted. 7. Sick, injured or dogs with fresh wounds are not permitted. 8. Dogs showing aggressiveness towards people or other dogs must be immediately leashed and removed from the dog park. Excessive barking or other noise should be humanely stopped by the owner. 9. No more than two dogs per owner/handler are allowed in the dog park at once. 10. Puppies must be at least 4 months old with current vaccinations. 11. Owners must clean up and properly dispose of feces and any trash/destroyed toys deposited by their dog(s). 12. No smoking or eating in the dog park. No glass containers are permitted. 13. Violators of these rules are subject to removal from the facility, suspension or revocation of their dog park permit, and issuance of municipal infractions.

The spot was super spacious, with a bench and a trash receptacle for poop bags. There was a great mix of short grass, longer grass, bramble, and trees. I would recommend wearing long pants if you want to walk through the longer grass areas. Our dog LOVED sniffing for bunnies in the bushes and bramble and prancing through the fields. Fence was very secure. We didn't see any other dogs or people, just birds, bunnies, and squirrels. Kathy was super accommodating and welcoming. Highly recommend!

I cannot express how awesome this place is and how wonderful it is to have a place to let my dog off leash without worrying about other dogs or distractions. Plenty of room to run, play, and train with your dog/dogs. There are poop bags and a waste can in case you need them. Host was very accommodating and made sure we found the spot and even gave Dexter some treats which he LOVED. We will DEFINITELY be back!!!

If there were 10 stars this property would get them!!! I drove over an hour to get there, and it was totally worth it. My dog and I had the best time walking the fenced area. It was the first time my dog really got to run off lead in a big area without me constantly nagging to come back to me. The yard is kept up well, the perimeter is mowed so allows easy walking, and the field area provides lovely views, plenty of birds, and pretty local fauna.

Excellent spot. Larger than expected. Secure and clean. Agility equipment is best suited for medium or smaller sized dogs, but my 80lb dog still had fun. Parkour equipment and digging box were a fun addition. Definitely recommend.
