Our dogs were allowed to roam the huge area leash free and sniff all the grounds, explore the ponds and see chickens (in a coop), deer, horses and cattle.

55Awesome location! The water has both deeper and shallower areas, and both steeper and flatter banks. My dog likes to check out perimeters, and it was easy for him to know where the boundaries are (gravel driveway and tall grass) and where he could roam. Pin sent by host made it very easy to find. I thought he was going to be super dirty with swimming in the pond but he was not (at least in comparison to the many many ponds he has ended up in). Overall great visit and will be coming back. Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks.
