55This was our first visit to Pawsome acres and we really enjoyed exploring the property. We started with sniffing the perimeter of the fenced in area. It’s a nicely mowed grass area, perfect for playing fetch with your retriever. Within the area there is a picnic table under a large tree which provides a nice place to sit in the shade. The host has provided a lot of amenities too, toys, balls and poop sacks, in case you didn’t bring your own. My dog doesn’t enjoy fetch so after exploring the fenced area we ventured into the woods and he had a great time sniffing out all the woodland scents. While the area isn’t fenced the underbrush provides a natural barrier and I felt comfortable letting my reactive dog off leash. If you don’t like underbrush brushing up against your legs, I’d suggest wearing long pants as most of the trails are narrow. I’d also suggest mud boots since there is still some muddy areas. Overall, a highly recommended Sniffspot!
55Very nice large fenced in yard. My dog sniffed every corner of it. When he got tired of that we decided to leash up and head out into the woods. Luckily it’s been dry for a few days so it wasn’t too muddy, but you can tell it gets VERY muddy! We had a great time exploring the trails back there. We even found a big bone! Not sure where it came from, but it was like elk or cow kind of big! I like this Sniff Spot because it’s close to my home. Thank you for having us!
55My dog had such a great time roaming around in the woods. It was really great to see him enjoying the freedom to explore like that, something he rarely gets. We'll be going back!
55Our dogs had the best time! We were concerned about venturing beyond the fenced meadow, since they've never been off-leash in an area that large. It's good to know they're more momma's dogs than solo adventure seekers! The space was welcoming, clean, quiet, and peaceful. This might be our new weekend getaway!
55Had this app since 2021 and never chose a spot till i saw pawsome acres. I'd been struggling to take my 3 anxious/reactive agressive dogs anywhere, especially my girl Thai! I am so glad we chose Pawsome Acres! As a first experience they set the bar pretty high! I've never seen my pups so Happy so carefree out the gate & having so much fun! We could tell everything had been thought of! Toys, first aid kit, water, doggie bags hand sanitizer even benches! Animal noises? None. We did hear a firework go off once toward the end, but it is getting close to that time of year. We all had a blast. As far as the toys went, they had some to choose from, we did bring our own, but my pups had found some toys they enjoyed like fabric Frisbee and a whistle chuckit they really liked. We mostly stayed in the fence area. We did try to check out the unfenced on leash but Plan to see it closer to summer like suggested! it was muddy but lots fun. Overall we had so much fun and being able to see them in a different element was well worth the wait! We Definetly plan to be Regulars! I think you won't be disappointed to check them out! Was super clean and fun. Thank you so much Pawesome Acres!
55My favorite sniffspot i’ve visited so far! It’s so quiet, and the woods are amazing for your dog to explore in
45The space was nice and our dogs had a lot of fun running in the open space. However, there were quite a few piles of poop from other reservations that we had to clean or dodge while chasing our dogs around which was unfortunate. We understand it was raining the day before so they probably weren’t able to check, so we just picked them up as we went. Besides that it was amazing, the host had a wash off station with clean towels! A nice toy bin with clean toys. Word of advice if you’re coming here..if it rained the day before wear boots. Our socks were soaked from the cushy grass but now we know better for next time so we can enjoy the wooded areas. There’s a nice picnic table at the entrance, would honestly be a perfect space if you wanted to do a doggy birthday. Amazing property, would highly recommend coming here and hope we’re able to bring our dogs back time and time again!
55Good open space for my dog to play. A down home country feel
55I wish we were a bit closer. My dogs LOVE this place! The mix of rugged wood traipsing and smooth grass for ball chasing is their Nirvana. I brought my walking stick this time, and we had a splendid visit!
55Spot is very clean and spacious. The host is awesome and very responsive. We love that there's a wooded area beyond the fence so my dog can explore more. Highly recommend.

Hazards

The woods have old ATV tracks that are often full of water. There are wetlands, and lots of blackberry brambles. Watch your step and trust no puddles! You may want to bring muck-friendly boots until it dries out later in the summer. It is very dark at night, so bring a flashlight. We are looking into lighting for the near future. There is a lot of raptor activity in this area, including resident bald eagles, and a surly Great Horned Owl who likes to yell at us at night. He doesn't pose a threat, but is more like an avian version of the Get Off My Lawn guy.

Hi, neighbors! My name is Diana, and I've lived in Buckley for almost 20 years. As a rescuer of many mistreated dogs, I know how important it is to have a safe spot for them, whether they are reactive, fearful, unsocialized, or all of the above. This is a safe, calm space where your fur-babies can run free, without concern of other animals or people. There are currently 4 rescues living here, including my retired SAR partner Harry, who just turned 16! They will be secured inside the residence during visits, and will not be visible. We'd love to share our beautiful space, because all pups deserve to be a country dog now and then! Proceeds go to the 15/10 Foundation, helping shelter dogs with medical/behavioral issues become more adoptable.
