**IMPORTANT NOTICE** We have made the difficult decision to sell The Ponderosa. We are currently under contract with an expected closing date of 2/12/26. We will continue offering Sniffspots until the change in ownership on 2/12/26. We will check the spot daily but not between every visit like we had in the past. We hope you will continue to keep this spot clean for the other guests. *************************** Wide open for dogs that need to run. Our guests have highlighted that they appreciate that they have easy visibility to keep eyes on their dog. The pasture was originally used for goats so there are lots of interesting smells. Picnic table and outdoor furniture for humans or dogs underneath shade trees. Climbing structure. Water with hose available. Trash and poop bags available. Entrance is 80 yards away from residence. Minutes from 485/Lawyers Rd - easy to find, easy to get to!

There is parking right next to the entrance gate on the grass. If you choose to bring your child/children, please keep them with you while your dog enjoys free play! The toys and equipment are for the pups to enjoy.

Although we both were raised in suburbia, when our kids went to college, we were lucky enough to find a wonderful 20-acre farm to start our next adventure! We are excited to share 4-acres of our farm with you and your dog/s! The fencing is 5-feet high all the way around the pasture.

Facebook video for property description! https://www.facebook.com/reel/857593750109937 This is a very quiet place on a country road where your dogs can be off leash and free to explore nature. The full four acres are surrounded by a 5 foot fence and there is a small creek running through the property. There is a wide spot in the creek that is easily the most popular spot for our canine visitors! In the summer, though, the creek dries up until the fall rains come. You can always message us to find out if there is water in the creek before your visit. There are larger fields and open areas for your dogs to practice their retrieving, and there are many paths in the woods for hiking. The beginning of each path is marked with quartz stones to show you the way. You will also find several benches scattered throughout the property so that you can take a load off while your dogs run and play. When it rains the property can be quite wet in some areas, so bring boots and a towel to clean off your muddy (but happy!) dog. There is a full competition size agility field within the four acres. The agility equipment is completely fenced in and will be accessible only to those who have had at least one formal beginner's agility class. This is to keep you and your dog safe and to prevent misuse of the equipment. Please message the host when you book the spot and before your first visit to discuss your agility experience if you are wanting to access the equipment. **I would really like for your first visit to be on a weekend or a Tuesday (my day off) so that I can meet with you to show you some details about the property and discuss parking. After the first visit, book whenever you want! If you absolutely cannot make it these days for your first visit, we can work something out. 🙂

The one plus acre field is the area where the dogs would play/run, there are also woods they can go into, they also have access to a pond about 3/4 acre, but this would need to be discussed at first visit so you take a look and see if it is acceptable. The whole area is fenced. Five acres in total. We do have five dogs, but they would be in the house when you are visiting with your dogs, you may hear them bark, but would not see them, a separate entrance to the field is available. No traffic near by.
