55Laura was so helpful and friendly. The space was super clean with all kinds of different terrain. Very well-maintained and lots of thoughtful touches. The trails and creek kept us busy! Highly recommend!
55The hosts were wonderful and met us to show us around the property. Our dog had an absolute blast exploring the trails, creek, and agility obstacles. We will absolutely be back!
55This is the best Sniffspot in our area! My 2 explorers loved it. So much space for them to be curious and free. The hosts are super helpful. Can’t wait to come back.
55We spend a lot of time at SniffSpots at home and when we travel - this is probably the best one we have ever been to! Secure, quiet, and lots of different areas for dogs to explore. Whenever we come through Charlotte again, we’ll be back!
55Our dogs love it here so much! They have a blast running through all the trails and playing hide and seek. Such a beautiful private spot to relax while the dogs run around.
55Super duper fun for the dogs. Best sniff spot I’ve been to hands down.
55The spot is always clean and well kept. In addition to access to toys, trails, a little stream, agility and more. Good communication with owner, easy access parking and entrance. Well fenced and wasn’t bothered by human or animals alike while in the sniff spot
55ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!! WORTH EVERY PENNY!!! Fully fenced in yard that kept my 95lb XL Bully, this place is fully secure and prepped with everything you need!! Water bowls, water, towels, toys and more!!!!
55Today we truly got a treat. Not only was everything happening g that we’d experienced over the summer, but the creek was running just right! Cleo could not have been happier. This continues to be our favorite SniffSpot!!
55Great place for a dog to run, play, and have fun being a dog!

Description

This is a very quiet place on a country road where your dogs can be off leash and free to explore nature. The full four acres are surrounded by a 5 foot fence and there is a small creek running through the property. There is a wide spot in the creek that is easily the most popular spot for our canine visitors! There are larger fields and open areas for your dogs to practice their retrieving, and there are many paths in the woods for hiking. The beginning of each path is marked with quartz stones to show you the way. You will also find several benches scattered throughout the property so that you can take a load off while your dogs run and play. When it rains the property can be quite wet in some areas, so bring boots and a towel to clean off your muddy (but happy!) dog. There is a full competition size agility field within the four acres. The agility equipment is completely fenced in and will be accessible only to those who have had at least one formal beginner's agility class. This is to keep you and your dog safe and to prevent misuse of the equipment. Please message the host when you book the spot and before your first visit to discuss your agility experience if you are wanting to access the equipment. **I would really like for your first visit to be on a weekend or a Tuesday (my day off) so that I can meet with you to show you some details about the property and discuss parking. After the first visit, book whenever you want! If you absolutely cannot make it these days for your first visit, we can work something out. 🙂

Cleanliness

100% of guests said this spot was as clean as expected during their visit.

Hazards

It’s the woods! Briars, roots, vines, ticks, wild blackberry bushes, mole holes in some of the open spots, wet areas, poison ivy, creek, swimming hole. Nature! Where the creek enters and exits the property, be aware that there are small areas where a determined dog could get through. We need to keep these small areas open for the visiting beavers who like to travel down the creek from the adjacent pond. Otherwise they chew our fence!

Additional rules

I would like to meet guests before their first visit to show them options for parking and the general lay of the land. Anyone that is interested in using the agility equipment is required to have had at least a beginner's course in agility before being allowed to use the equipment. This is an important safety issue.
