Top Public & Private Dog Parks in Covington, LA

My dogs had fun tiring themselves out! I didn’t expect I would also be tired out too! Both the older (3y, 80#) and younger (1y, 65#) adolescents had a great time sniffing the shoreline and galloping/paddling in the water. Even the smallest dog (36#) who doesn’t like water seemed to tolerate our walk through the creek well. Maybe I’ll bring her pool float next time! I was surprised by how bad they smelled after the water though and will bring some water to rinse with before loading up at future visits. I assumed the unfenced part of the property would be the beach. However, at the rear of the sniffspot the adjacent property is separated by a sparse treeline and my younger teen was able to enter that property while I was picking up some poops. 😬 He’s become reactive toward unknown dogs + his prey drive is pretty strong, so I’ll be sure to keep him on his long line in that area just in case there’s a surprise dog or wildlife visible/heard there next time (or at least until we finish muzzle conditioning). Also, I really appreciate how helpful and generous Stacey was when we needed a little extra care after entering the address incorrectly while rushing to get there after work, Covington construction traffic, etc.

This place is beautiful and well kept. Our dogs loved it. The little beach by the river was especially nice.

I LOVE this spot and doggies do too. The water temperature of the creek is perfect and it’s so much fun to frolic with the wet canines!

This stuff spot is not fully enclosed and is fairly close to the road. There weren't many cars, but consider your dog's recall. There was plenty of space for my dog to run around. There's a pond and seating beneath trees. The host is very responsive and offers treats. Beautiful property overall. We'll be back!

This space is gorgeous and safe. I loved getting out of the city a bit, and my dog Greta loved it too. Absolutely recommend!

The creek is really a treasure on these hot summer days. Since we started coming here, my short dog has learned how to swim and now loves the water!

As pictured! Plenty of space for dogs to run. The river being in the shade was nice plus for us since it was very hot outside.

What a gorgeous property! This is a nice, secluded spot with plenty of trees and shade, and plenty of space for dogs to run around. Very well kept and the pool is wonderful! The host is very responsive and helpful as well. We will definitely be back again!

James’ sniffspot was amazing for the pup & humans-alike. Clean, private, and super spacious, with all the amenities. 10/10 would recommend! On top of that James was communicative and quick to respond to any messages. Great spot and great host!

A fantastic place with a freshwater creek and sandy beaches. My two dogs and I love the cool creek on these hot summer days. No pictures yet but I’ll definitely post some next time.

As always a wonderful visit. Charlie loves the pond, open space and the wooded edges of the property. Always clean, well kept. Our #1 spot to visit.

This place is an absolute doggy paradise There’s so much land for him to run. A swimming pool for them to cool off! The host was very communicative and super friendly! Can not wait to bring my dog back again!!

Okay, so I’ve had the pleasure of adventuring with my two pups around much of the US and we’ve enjoying many sniffspots at home and in other states. This is my favorite to date! What a phenomenal property! The dogs and I all had the best time. I brought their long lines to ensure they didn’t get too carried away with excitement and swim downstream, but took them off relatively quickly after getting a sense of water speed and depth which was more manageable (for two water-loving dogs) than I anticipated. If your dogs have recall, the property feels secure. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. I can’t wait to come back.

What a stunning spot! We loved having such a peaceful, gorgeous property to spend a little time. The dogs had lots of pristine space to sniff, play, and swim. The host was also thoughtful and communicative. We will absolutely be back!

great little spot! It’s kind of close to a highway so if your dogs don’t have a solid recall I would keep them on a long line - not a problem for mine though. Bring bug spray!!

I’ve been gatekeeping this place but it’s not fair anymore because they deserve the hype. This is my FAVORITE place to take the dogs. We train search and rescue dogs and there’s such a variety of landscape to work with. Acres of cleared land, beautiful ponds and bridges, and the beach with the river. They are so nice and the property is the best Sniffspot around. It’s not fully fenced but it’s pretty secure and not close to the road or anything. The beach part is pretty secure too- large enough to run and play but not too large for them to get out of sight (assuming they don’t go downstream in the river). The open fields are pretty secure as well with clear boundary lines (woods/fence on some and the bridge to cross over to the driveway). Wouldn’t recommend if your dog has no recall but for our puppies were training with stubborn recalls it was perfectly safe! 10/10 recommend (unless you’re not polite and don’t pickup poop or have unvaccinated dogs etc in which case don’t come bc we love our perfect hidden gem of a Sniffspot and don’t want it ruined haha)

WOW! Debbie's Sniffspot is where it's at! The pics don't even do it justice. There was a ton of open green space for our dogs to run free. They LOVED the cool toys that Debbie provided. It was the perfect place for safely introducing two unfamiliar dogs (I'm a dog trainer, so safety is extremely important to me). We actually extended our reservation for an additional hour! Thank you, Debbie!
