55I had a great time letting my reactive dog run around on the hill-y woods. Communication with the host, Cecelia, was great! She was helpful when I booked for the wrong date and accommodated us when we were late and let us stay a little longer. Jade X.

55Loved it. This spot is conveniently located right off 70. The trail is well maintained. It’s a bit uphill, but manageable. We had to leave early because of 37 wk pregnant wife. Will definitely come back without her😁Jayson K.

55Great sniffspot ! Very clean and secluded. Well marked spots to park your car. Amazing host who is super responsive as this was a very last minute booking (thank you !!!! ). The trail is a little steep at the beginning ( we loved it though :) ) and lots of areas for your pup to sniff around. My dog thoroughly enjoyed the hike. Will be returning back again. Highly recommend!!Krishna R.

55This “sniff spot” was an amazing place to bring one of my German Shepherds to explore… And it’s just 13 minutes from downtown Frederick. I’m a local dog trainer living in the city, so finding a beautiful spot like this with a lot of space is so helpful for my dogs’ well being/longevity. Communication from the sniff spot owners was great as well! I will definitely be coming back again! John T.

55Perfect “sniff-spot” for our two Dutch Shepherds! Directions were provided and location was easy to find. Guest parking and trail head clearly labeled. Our family enjoyed some much needed “off-leash” time and will visit this location again! Amanda W.

55My dog and I had an amazing time walking/hiking through the woods on this beautiful January day. Hiking and walking on trails is one of my favorite activities, but with all the people and dogs that are on public trails, it is too much for my reactive guy. This was the most peaceful hike we have ever had! Meghan M.

55Nice private spot in the woods! Well signed and good directions from the owner. Would be a great spot for letting your dog explore off leash if they are able. Brittany K.

55Beautiful spot, a nice woody hillside trail in a quiet place tucked behind some cabins. Didn't see anyone around and the trail is densely wooded enough that there is very low visibility of the surrounding properties. It's early spring when I'm writing this so the trees are all bald, but I imagine when their leaf coverage is full there would be no way to see through the forest, so it's perfect for distractable or reactive dogs. I have a sighthound mix so the low visibility is a godsend, I was able able to walk the trail with him off leash without issue. Only thing I can say is the trail is a bit hard to follow further up the hill. I honestly don't think I walked the full thing! We had a great time wandering around though, the trail was clean and pretty clear. We'll definitely be coming back!Blake S.

55Lot lines are not clearly defined, but it was a beautiful place. Heavily wooded if you go off the trail, and the trail also isn't clearly marked. Highly recommended if you want a workout. Property is on the side of a large hillside. Jake G.

Are dog hiking trails safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, inattentive owners, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks are much safer than a city or county park. All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 93% of reviews on Sniffspot visits are 5 stars.
