In addition to the 1.3 acre fully fenced area we have a 2 acre field with trails that isn’t fenced. It’s a different environment full of sights, sounds, and scents for you dog to enjoy. I have a couple long leashes available for you to use so your dog has some freedom to explore.

I am located close to Penn High School and AM General. I have a 6000+ square foot fully privacy fenced back yard with a gate wide enough to drive your car or truck truck into the area for safety. My goldendoodle loves it. There are trees, a swingset, and an in ground sand pit as well.

Rules and Regulations ~ Read Before Entering Owners are legally responsible for their dogs and any injuries caused by them. This run is not patrolled on a regular basis, by entering the Off‐ Leash Dog Run, you acknowledge that the City is not responsible for the safety of your pet, person, or property. All dogs must be properly licensed with the City of Elkhart, Indiana. A dog owner must have a valid membership for the park. All dogs must be currently vaccinated against rabies and other zoological diseases. Aggressive dogs of any size are prohibited. An owner of a dog who is displaying aggressive behavior toward other dogs and/or people shall immediately remove his or her dog from the park. The owner may bring a maximum of two (2) dogs into the dog park at any given time. No strollers, wagons, bicycles, skateboards or motorized vehicles are allowed inside the park. Beware the perimeter fence is not monitored on a regular basis for holes dug by animals or other accidental damage or wear that may cause a breech in security. Please report any damage. All dogs must wear a collar and ID tags at all times. Owners must clean up feces after their dogs. Failure to pick up after your dog could lead to the closure of the dog run. Plastic bags for waste are provided. Please replace as able. The park is split into two sections; one for small dogs under 35lbs and one for large dogs 35lbs and greater. All dogs must be in the proper area for their size. Dogs previously deemed a dangerous animal or showing aggression towards people or other animals are prohibited. Puppies under 4 moths are prohibited. Dogs must be attended and within owner’s sight at all times. We recommend that young children not enter the run. Children in the dog run should be under constant adult supervision. We recommend no children under the age of 12, Dogs in heat, injured, or ill are prohibited. Animals other than dogs are prohibited. Owners must carry a leash at all times. Dogs should be leashed before entering and prior to leaving the park. The restrooms (including any water supply) provided for this facility are seasonal and are not available on a year round basis. Violators will be subject to fines and penalties as permitted by law. Repeated violators could be subject to a suspension of park privileges. The dog park pass may not be used by any other individual or for any other dog. Sharing of passes or allowing non‐members in the park is prohibited. Smoking is prohibited. Glass containers are prohibited. Food and treats, dog and human, are prohibited. Balls, Frisbees, and toys of any kind are prohibited. Membership into the park is non‐transferable. Excessive Barking is prohibited. Holes dug must be immediately filled by owner. Dogs must be leashed when entering and exiting the park. Owners must keep leash in hands and remain in voice control of their dogs at all times. The City of South Bend is not responsible for injuries to dogs, their owners, handlers, or others that use the park. This area is for dogs and handlers only. DOG WASTE MUST BE CLEANED UP IMMEDIATELY BY THE DOG OWNERS AND PLACED IN THE TRASH RECEPTACLES PROVIDED. Dogs must be current with all vaccinations, healthy, and wearing a collar with identification and current rabies tag at all times. Dogs in heat and puppies under 4 months of age are prohibited. Both Pawster Pooch Playground and Camp Canine are open from 6:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m. daily. The maximum number of dogs in the playgrounds at any given time is 50. Please limit your visit to one hour during times of peak use. All dogs must have their \"Pass\" visibly displayed on their collar while inside the playground. Rabies tags must be worn and displayed by all dogs at all times Always keep an eye on your dog. Never leave your dog unattended. Dogs known to exhibit vicious, fierce, aggressive, or dangerous behavior are not permitted in the Dog Playgrounds. If your dog becomes unruly or aggressive toward other dogs, you must leash your dog and exit the enclosure. Always clean up after your dog. It's the law. A container is available in the park for this purpose. Please bring your own bags. Female dogs in season are not permitted in the playground and should not be brought to the park. Dogs, owners, and users creating a disturbance or violating posted rules must leave the playground if requested by law enforcement personnel, park personnel, or their designated agents. Don't bring more than three dogs to the playground. Dogs under four (4) months of age are not permitted in the playground. Puppies are not fully vaccinated, and are vulnerable to disease and injury. Children under fourteen (14) years of age must be accompanied by an adult. Dogs may not be left unattended or out of sight range or voice command. Dogs must be on a 6' leash until safely inside the playground enclosure (corral). It's the law. Please remove pinch (prong) collars and spike collars from dogs before entering the park. Other dogs can be injured while playing. No wolves or wolf hybrids allowed. Do not bring glass containers to the facility. Do not bring food (people food, dog food or dog treats) into the playground. Many owners do not feed treats and some dogs may be allergic. Food may also make a docile dog aggressive. Do not smoke in or around the playground. Cigarette butts and food wrappers are unhealthy for dogs. Maintenance needs of the site will vary based on weather and use. You are asked to vacate the playground during maintenance activities. Check all entrances before unleashing your dog. Dogs should receive year-round heartworm prevention treatment. Have drinking water readily available for your dog before and especially after exercise. You must provide your own water and bowls. ALL dogs benefit from guidance and structure. Basic obedience is a must for a well-socialized happy dog. Do not open the outside gate if an inside gate is open.
