We have a 30 acre tree farm located at the base of Sugarloaf Mt., away from roads, houses and people. Very secluded, with a 1/2 acre spring fed pond for swimming as well as groomed trails for sniffing, hiking and training. We are also a Lab Rescue foster family for young puppies and help train for their next fur-ever homes. Our place can also accommodate for upland and waterfowl training. We are as well associated with Buckeystown, Poolsville and Peachtree Veterinary hospitals.

I have a total of two acres available for SniffSpot. One is the main area that you immediately enter and is fully fenced. An additional area that is further back behind a cattle gate is available for use but unfenced at this time. We offer toys, water, water bowls, parkour equipment, lots of toys and a small pool for the summer. Long games of fetch or frisbee. Tug. If you dog loves to sniff there are lots of fox, deer and other creatures in the area to enliven your dogs nose! Easy parking available. We can even accommodate large groups or even your puppies birthday party!

Therefore, there may be times I’ll have to tell you your requested pool use time is not available even if the Sniffspot app shows availability, due to scheduling conflicts that I cannot synch without also blocking my front yard. •The pool is located in the backyard and is fully fenced but the back yard itself is unfenced and is not available for use. •Access the pool from the back walkway from the driveway near the garage. •Enjoy use of the floats and furniture for humans only. •There is a water bowl, a hose you may use, and a shedding brush available. •No bathroom available (though I allow towel dried kid in urgent need! Complete freedom to roam on 30 acres with a bonus that our land is surrounded by another 200+ acres of electric company owned land with no roads, no cars, no neighbors… just grass and forest. We have a Google Earth picture roughly showing the property lines and the driveway for you to use while exploring. We ask that you please stay out of the treeline to the right of the driveway as you drive up the hill It's the neighbor's property and it's marked by no trespassing signs. There is no house on the property. Just a camper and a shed. Park anywhere on the road or at the big circle at the top (near the farm office.) We have wifi near the brown shed at the top of the road. Wifi: HSH Password: HardStruggleHomestead Be forewarned that our land is on the side of a mountain so the walk up the driveway will be on a slow incline. Your dogs will be tired after this trip, we promise. As of April 1st there are no animals or livestock on site except for a few bee hives on the property. Most often, the owner is not on site but may do some maintenance time to time. If you see him, he will wave hello… Rest assured he will not approach your dogs unless you approach him. We understand reactive dogs.

Come for our glorious sunrises on the creek and sunsets in the fields or just to enjoy the day exploring the fields and creek. The dog area starts past the broken black fence behind the house and goes down through the fields and into the woods. I would appreciate it if you would kindly please keep the dogs leashes and wait until you are past the broken fence to allow your dog to do any business. To get to the creek, go past the broken fence and keep going down the hill to the back tree line. I have included a map in the pictures. And then just keep walking; it’s about five minutes from the house to the trailhead. We have set out fluorescent yellow markers on the trees on the back tree line as you approach the trail. We also put up a blue sign that says “To The Creek” at the trail head. Once in the woods, walk down the steep hill and take the trail to the right at the bottom of the hill, before the little ravine. That trail will take you out to a spot where your dog can splash around and I’ve cut a few trails to explore back there. If you go to the red barn, you’ve gone too far. The trail is right at the base of the hill. We are looking forward to having you and please reach out if you need anything special or want to chat before coming.

Bring camp chairs, if you plan an extended visit. Available dawn to dusk, no lighting. you have Verizon and AT&T, you should have access to phone and tablet capabilities. Additional amenities, for both dogs and people, to be added.

Our spot is the best of both worlds. We have a 1/4 acre fenced in with a hammock, outdoor couch and trampoline (dog friendly of course), inside of the fenced area there is a water house with water bowl! This fence is also small dog friendly with zero escape points. Our larger area which is partially fenced in the back is surrounded by 60 acres of forest and corn fields. One acre is maintained for great viability and the other has tall grass for your pups that love frolicking! You can find a large sitting area with tons shade, a tree swing, a picnic area, pool which can be used for small to medium dogs (under 30lbs) and fire pit area that is available to use! You will also find sprinklers, a hose and water bowl for use as well and of course tons of amazing smells and lots of wildlife. We also have a peach tree, wild strawberries, raspberries and blueberries that when in season is available for picking as well! The best part, none of the neighbors have dogs! So if your pup needs extra peace and quiet or just has a hard time with other animals, this is your place! If you have any questions or need anything please feel free to reach out.

Small fenced in yard a separate 3 acre field and forest, also now fully fenced in! Property can get quite muddy after rain, so use caution if venturing in the field or woods.

Fenced area ( Chicken wire & Metal post) beside a forest creek. Large running area for pups. Table with 4 chairs for pup parents to sit and relax while their pups have fun. Doggy bags, toys, bug spray, sunscreen, trash can, dog treats, dog bowls & water is provided. You will have the entire place to yourself during the length of your visit. There are 2 other dogs on property but they will remain indoors during the length of your stay. You may bring music, food, drinks but please make sure all trash makes it into the provided trash can. Please also use the provided dog poop bags to pick up any poop before you leave. Please keep dogs on leash anytime they are outside of the fenced in area. There are stray cats in the area that neighbors take care of and we don't want anything to happen to them if a dog goes after them. We are also on a main road and don't want any pups going out on the road. You may park in the driveway. Have Fun :)
