55We had another great visit to this Sniffspot yard today! I want to add that the homeowner was very kind and accommodating as I thought I lost my wallet in their yard during my last visit. She messaged me here throughout my search process, checked the yard herself and even messaged again after i searched the yard and I didn’t find it. Being able to talk with her was very helpful and she totally didn’t have to be so caring about it. (It was found at a store! Many good humans in the world! All is well!)
55This was our first Sniffspot visit in the dark. The yard was well lit and I also brought a glow in the dark ball which was super fun in the “dark” edges of the yard. The owner also was very gracious and adjusted my time via the chat feature here as my schedule changed. That was very nice of her to do on relatively short notice! (Thank you!)
55We stopped here while on vacation. Our dog doesn’t do well in dog parks, so we were thrilled to find this place! It was clean, quiet, well secured, and had plenty to keep my dog busy.
55Great spot! Water and toys were available. Plenty of space to run around. We loved it and plan to be back!
55Everything about this experience was positive for me and my two active dogs. Parking was close to the entrance, the gate was simple to use, the toys and water were out and ready to use and the yard/fence was clean and well maintained. There was also good communication beforehand.
55Very nice little spot, not too huge you can lose sight of your dog, but big enough to get your dog running after a ball!
55Nice quiet space and well outfitted with all things a dog could enjoy! We had a great time. Thank you for sharing your space with us.
55Very nice space and easy to use! My dog loved being able to run around. Host is very considerate and provides water, toys, and supplies to clean up after my dog. Will definitely book again!
55Our dogs had a great time. We will be back!
55Kêlev had so much fun running around in this beautiful spot. There was so many different things for him to interact with and explore. We'll definitely be back!

For years we struggled to find safe environments to let our pups run freely. Last year we added a fence to our property which was life altering! We love giving owners and their pups a safe and reasonably priced spot to roam and run freely in a relatively private setting. Also, now available is night time play. Our recently installed lighting lights up 3/4 of an acre. Firewood available to enjoy our fire pit or our chiminea.

60 acres of upstate New York forest just for you!

NOTE: ON HOLD UNTIL DEC 9 ( DUE TO HUNTING SEASON) Greetings! Our land is a mix of flat grass (think lawn), some long/short pasture, and the majority being heavy wooded forest area. You will enjoy some rustic logging trails up there (but please don’t expect a perfect state park-type path). The terrain can be steep to climb to the top depending on your skill level. Once you are at the “top” of the hill, there is “flat” land that you can hike (I’ve even jogged up there - slowly!). For those of you that like a challenge, besides our two pathways up the hill, we offer a very steep side of the hill to climb. One of the photos shows water – that is the case if there is a heavy rain (likely September/October) but please know we don’t always have a running stream. We do offer a hose and bucket to rinse your dog’s feet at the end of the stay. The photos with the leaves are from last year – this is what the property looks like in autumn. November starts getting cold. December will bring snow with some plowed areas. For winter, you and your dog can frolic in the snow and we can provide you with towels, wipes, whatever you may need to "clean off" before getting back in the car. With advance notice, we can provide coffee, tea, or cocoa. For accessibility: if you use a wheelchair, you can drive your car onto the land and use the flat part of the land if you can access grassy lawn. If there is interest, I can take your friendly dog up the hill to run around for a nominal fee. We are new to this so please ask questions. Consider this spot “forever wild” woods. It is incredibly calm and peaceful up on the hill. You can quietly listen to the woods or bring a radio and sing to your dog loudly. If you are not a climber, even playing fetch behind the barn is nice. Note: inside the barn is off limits. This is a working property and there are tools, tractors, and such that are not good for any animals. Please Remember: there are no fences and we have a state highway in front of our property. All the area that you would use would be set back an appropriate distance, but I want to be clear for everyone sake that there are no fences. If your dog does not come back when called, perhaps this spot isn’t the best for any off-leash activity. Wild Animals: There are deer in the woods (and some dogs love to chase deer!) so please keep that in mind as well. We have also seen rabbits and an occasional skunk, raccoon, fox, groundhogs, and even a porcupine once. We hear coyote sometimes but I have not seen any on our land. Central New York has been known to house bobcats, mountain lions, and bears among others, but I have yet to see them on our land as well. We do see bald eagles on occasion. Lastly, your reservation is for 90 minutes to allow for time to truly enjoy nature.
