15I was disappointed with my experience at this location. The park was not as described on the app, and we were confused about where to go upon arrival. I messaged the owner for clarification but received no response. After about 10 minutes, a lady came out and confirmed it was Ernesto’s park, explaining that the park included the entrance area and a small back lot. This was confusing, as the setup was unclear and not ideal. The back lot was very small, uneven, and hilly, making it difficult to play with our dog. There’s also a canyon along the edge, which is unsafe for throwing balls or letting dogs run freely. Additionally, the back lot is connected to a neighboring yard without any fencing, which made us uncomfortable as our dog is large and needs more secure boundaries. The entire space felt cramped and not suitable for dogs that enjoy running or playing fetch. While it might work for small-sized dogs with less energy, it wasn’t what we expected based on the description. We left within the first 10 minutes because the park didn’t meet our needs and wasn’t worth our time. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this spot.

Private 2 Acre Forest Swimming Hole In Rural Woodside (Update: 7 stairs added)

This is a private, undeveloped, forested spot. If you are interested in this spot, you and your dog should be up for a mini adventure. This spot is not a manicured, backyard park. It is wild and beautiful, and a rare find in this area. THERE IS NO TRASH SERVICE AT THIS FOREST LOCATION. PACK EVERYTHING OUT WITH YOU, INCLUDING DOG POOP BAGGIES. The trail starts at the west (downhill) end of the parking spot, and winds downhill to the creek (there are a couple of switchbacks). The trail from the parking area to the creek is less than 5 minutes long. At the bottom of the trail, is a deck. Beyond the deck is a year-round creek with a swimming hole. There are fish, frogs, newts, and crawdads. All wildlife is protected, so please don't catch or remove them. You may walk up and down along the creek exploring, as long as you turn around if you see a waterfall downstream or a house in the distance. The trail that leads downhill to the creek is intermediate, not for beginners or flip-flops. There should be no poison oak or ticks on the trail, but if you venture off the trail, you may encounter poison oak or ticks. There are blackberry bushes to the sides of the trail that resemble poison oak. There should be no foxtails. You may see wild animals. As a wild spot, you may encounter typical hazards that are present in most local forest trails, such as wildlife, water, and trip-and-fall hazards. This is a private spot, and there should be no other people or dogs during your booking. If you see someone during your booking, please let us know as soon as possible, so that we can take steps to prevent them from trespassing again. There is no lighting at this spot, so if you book before sunrise or after sunset, please bring a headlamp or flashlight. There is no trash collection service at this location, so please pack out any trash. Thank you!
