🚨🚨 We are brokenhearted to announce that we are closing Canter Woods Farm SniffSpot, effective October 31, 2024. We have absolutely LOVED having dogs come here for enrichment and adventure since we opened mid-2021, and we are so grateful to all of you for putting your trust in us. Unfortunately we have had a couple of safety incidents—including a career-ending attack on one of our prized jumper horses—that have made it clear we can’t continue having dogs come here. We know you’re unhappy about this and so are we. It is not a step we take lightly—we had planned to welcome dogs here indefinitely. We are blessed with 19 gorgeous acres of ♿️ HANDICAPPED ACCESSIBLE pasture, ancient live oak hammocks, and trails surrounding 3 ponds and a creek leading to a cypress swamp. It’s Old Florida at its very BEST. Canter Woods is on the corner of two dead-end dirt roads with barely any traffic. We are now FULLY FENCED so your dog can safely work out every ounce of excess energy! Seating and picnic tables are provided throughout the property, and there is plenty of natural shade. We have a private road that runs all around the inside of the fence, so if your dog likes to run alongside you while you pedal, go ahead and bring your bicycle! The road/trail is almost completely shaded, so even on the hottest of days, it’s quite pleasant. One of our trails, which fully accommodates any vehicle, leads directly to our main seating area adjacent to not one but two ponds. Guests who use a wheelchair, crutches, or a walker can make it from their vehicle to a sturdy chair or lounger in just 6-8 feet ♿️ If you would like access to this parking spot, simply arrange with us. Our shallow swimming ponds are fed nonstop by a deep artesian well. We also have plenty of wildlife—depending on how rambunctious your dog might be, you may see otters, soft shelled turtles, tortoises, wood ducks, raccoons, armadillos, rabbits, and squirrels. We also have a plentiful supply of water birds—herons, egrets, and more. We are a Certified Wildlife Habitat™️! 🍃🌱🌿🪵🐇 We have horses on the premises in paddocks, and they’re tolerant of dogs and their mischief and love ♥️ our SniffSpot dog guests. Hopefully your dog is tolerant of these large mysterious creatures and doesn’t harass them! If you think your dog might be aggressive with the horses and get over or under their sturdy 4-foot paddock fence, please use a leash when in proximity of the barn and paddock! Do note that our horses are ridden and worked often, so there’s always the possibility that you will encounter “evidence” of a horse having passed there before you 😉 As we say around here, that’s farm life for ya! If that kind of thing bothers you, this probably isn’t the right spot for you. We are not manicured lawn—we are a farm and woods and a certified wildlife habitat. Note that we do have some predator animals such as hawks, owls, and the occasional bobcat, so this area is best suited for dogs over about 15 pounds. We keep our 4-lb chihuahua mostly inside, since we moved here. Parking is near the main entrance gate, close to the barn, and you are invited to start off your visit on the trails, following Bambi’s Run at the main entrance. Poop bags, maps, and a trash can are located on a pine tree at the parking area and near the horse paddock. ✨ PLEASE NOTE: We are specifically requesting that you do NOT come to our farm to “check us out” WITHOUT AN APPOINTMENT. Please respect that Canter Woods is also our home, and we are closed to anyone who doesn’t have an appointment. For our security and the safety of our guests and their dogs, we have surveillance cameras in use at all our entrances. MEMBERS-ONLY HOURS: We reserve before-work 7:30-10:30 am, Saturday mornings until noon, and all day on Sundays for dog lovers who have chosen to be members. Members also get a lower rate that’s never subject to a price increase + free use of our wash rack and dog shampoo! (a big bonus for the big dogs in our lives!) With a little over an acre of land there is plenty of space for dogs (and humans) to stretch their legs and burn some energy! Our land has trees for shade to hide from the hot sun, toys to play with and a kiddie pool can be filled upon request. Our spot is located on a dead end street, so it’s pretty quiet. We welcome dogs of all ages, size and abilities! Book your stay and come enjoy the life of Loxahatchee!

Bring your dogs over and enjoy our fully fenced in yard at Weeping Pines Meadow. There is plenty of space for your four legged friends to run and play. Our large trees and covered patio provide shade when you need a break from the sun. Sit by the lake and enjoy duck and bird sightings. Bring lunch and enjoy it on the back patio table with seating for six or lounge on the four lounge chairs under the umbrellas. If you come by in the early evening, you can catch a sunset from the Adirondack chairs or the lake. Our German Shorthaired Pointer, Nadja, loves running our property, however, she will not be outside when you visit. Come see this fun, new spot for you and your dogs. We have seen how much running has made a difference for our dog and are happy we have the opportunity to offer it to your dogs too!

The play area is a fully fenced paddock with enough free space to tire out even the most high energy pup. Property is perimeter fenced as well. All areas have individual fencing for safety, in case of escape artist. Peaceful, quiet spot with beautiful sunrise/sunset views. Many wild birds around during the day. Peaceful view of the pond and our farm animals. Enjoy open area playtime with your furbaby or sit and enjoy the surroundings while they play. Gated entrance and gated parking, no safety concern for your vehicle or belongings.

Large open cleared backyard field. In the very back not much shade, but here are 2 very large trees closer to the back of the house that you pass on the way to the open field. Please only stay within the boundery of my yard despite no fence with my neighbors yard either. Which is to the left of the power pole. Please & thank u!

Our backyard is nestled in a small, quiet, and dog friendly neighborhood. Please bring your own towels if you plan on using the pool. You are more than welcome to adjust the umbrella and outdoor seating so that you stay under the shade. In the event some of these items are not provided it's due to my husband and I most likely not being home and not having enough time to set up. I do apologize in advanced but I do hope you also provide your own amenities just in case. :) PARKING - Directly in front of the house, tires flush against the grass but not on the grass. Please use the gate on the left side if you are facing the house. The Sniffspot sign will be posted. POOL - Our pool is chlorinated and maintained weekly. The shallow end is 3 ft and the deep end is 7 ft. It is not heated. There is a hose near the patio for you to bathe your pup after the pool if you wish. Please provide your own shampoo. Humans are more than welcome to enjoy the pool as well! :) THURSDAYS - Our pool maintenance man comes on Thursdays between the hours of 10am-12pm so please do not book during this window. FLORIDA HEAT - Please be mindful of the temperature. Read this article from the AKC to familiarize yourself with a heat stroke in dogs and what to look for. https://www.akc.org/expert-advice/health/heatstroke-in-dogs/ NIGHT - Bookings are open to take at night. It's dimly lit and no lighting on either side of the house so please take that into consideration. I suggest you bring your own flashlight or portable camping lantern. TRAINERS AND DOG WALKERS - My space is available to you as well! TRANSPERANCEY - For safety reasons there will be a camera facing the backyard :) NO DIGGING - Please do not allow your dogs to dig in the dirt area that boarders the pool or the yard. We are in process of patching up the dirt area. BARKING - We know your furry friends are having a good time and happy barks are totally ok! Please just keep in mind we do have very kind neighbors and we still need to respect the levels of excessive barking. :) EMERGENCY - In case of an emergency and someone is home please do not hesitate to knock on the door! Help is not guaranteed but we will try to assist in anyway within legal limitations. Coral Springs Emergency Animal Hospital is also the closest clinic.

Quiet peaceful spot for you and your dog to play

As a dog trainer I always encourage my clients to socialize their dogs away from dog parks, in dog parks people get distracted with other people and they, sometimes, don't pay attention to their dogs, on top on that, dog parks don't get the attention and care that they need, and end up being a perfect place to pick up a desease or allergy. This is why I LOVE being able to provide a safe space for you to have fun with your four legged baby, where they can play safely and you can relax knowing they are not gonna get in any trouble.

Pigs, chickens and dogs oh my!!! Come let your dog play on the farm that's fully fenced in with a ton of room to run around and have fun. Farm animals will be in their pens upon arrival and you're more then welcome to go say hi. Water is available and a hose on both sides of the house in case you need to rinse them off after their fun filled day. I do dog grooming and can offer pet sitting if you're visiting the area or going on vacation for an upcharge. The price depends on breed and services.

Birthday Pawtys available, Open at Night, fully fenced in yard. Pool is availble as an extra. Playdates and get togethers (including dog social clubs, events, breed/rescue groups, doggie birthday/gotcha pawtys and dog walkers) are welcome!🐾 If you are a larger group, just let me know and we can accommodate you! Perfect for the dogs who are timid or reactive, live in apartments or have small yards, or just aren't a good fit for public dog parks. Great place to work on your training! Please see our extras for Holiday Photo Ops, Pool, Smores, Pupsicles, etc...! If you like a lot of shade most of the backyard up to the deck is in the shade in the morning until 9:30 and partial shade after that.🐕 The deck and Pool is fully shaded after 4.
