PARK IS OPEN FROM SUN UP TO SUN DOWN. DOG OWNERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR CLEAN UP OF DOG FECES. DOG OWNERS MUST BE IN PARK AND WITHIN VIEW OF THEIR DOG AT ALL TIMES. DOGS MUST BE REMOVED FROM THE PARK AT THE FIRST SIGN OF AGGRESSION. DOG OWNER MUST HAVE LEASH IN HAND AT ALL TIMES. DOGS MUST BE LEASHED OUTSIDE THE BOUNDARIES OF THE PARK. ALL DOGS ENTERING THE PARK NEED TO BE SPAYED OR NEUTERED. PARK GATES MUST BE CLOSED & LATCHED AT ALL TIMES. PUPPIES AND DOGS MUST BE PROPERLY LICENSED, VACCINATED, AND HEALTHY PRIOR TO ENTERING THE PARK. PUPPIES UNDER 4 MONTHS OLD ARE PROHIBITED FROM ENTERING THE PARK. NO FOOD, TREATS, ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES, GLASS CONTAINERS, STROLLERS, BICYCLES OR CHILDREN TOYS ARE ALLOWED IN PARK. NO ANIMALS OTHER THAN DOGS ARE ALLOWED IN THE PARK. AGGRESSIVE DOGS ARE NOT PERMITTED ON THE PREMISES. POLICE AND ANIMAL CONTROL OFFICERS CAN TICKET ALL DOG OWNERS WHO FAIL TO COMPLY WITH THE ABOVE RULES. THIS PARK ACCOMMODATES UNLEASHED ANIMALS. BY ENTRY, YOU ASSUME ALL RISK OF INJURY TO YOURSELF, ANY ADULT GUEST, AND ANY PERSON OR THING OVER WHICH YOU EXERCISE CARE. ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK. CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 8 ARE PROHIBITED FROM ENTERING THE PARK. CITY OF MYRTLE BEACH SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INJURY OR DAMAGE TO ANY PERSON OR THING CAUSED BY ANY DOG IN THE PARK. NO SMOKING OR VAPING IS ALLOWED IN THE PARK.

Beach
• Sec. 4-46. - Unrestrained dogs. (a) It shall be the duty of the owner of the dog to be responsible for the dog on the premises of the owner. If any dog leaves the premises of the owner without a leash, it shall be deemed to be running at large. If any dog found at large cannot be safely taken up and impounded, any necessary action may be taken by the duly sworn officer. If any dog is found unrestrained, the dog's owner may be charged criminally as provided by G.S. 160A-175, and/or subject to civil penalties as provided in the town's fee schedule. (b) Subject to section 4-49(d), when signs are placed, erected or installed at public beach accesses giving notice thereof, dogs may be on the beach from October 15 to March 15 from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. without a leash under the following conditions: (1) Dog(s) shall not be left unattended; (2) Dog(s) must be under visual and voice control at all times; (3) Do not allow dog(s) to visit with other beach-goers or dogs without permission; (4) If a dog exhibits aggression toward other dogs or beach-goers, the owner must put the dog on a leash and remove the dog from the beach immediately; (5) Owners shall be solely responsible for any injury or damage caused by their dog(s); and (6) Owners shall properly and promptly remove and dispose of all feces left by their dog(s). (7) It shall be unlawful at all times for a dangerous or vicious dog to be taken on a public beach access or on the public beach. If any dog is found unrestrained in violation of this subsection, the dog's owner may be charged criminally and/or may be fined $100.00 per offense. (c) It shall be unlawful for any dangerous or vicious dog, or dangerous animal to be kept, harbored, or otherwise maintained within the town without being restrained in accordance with the definition of restraint as spelled out in section 4-49(a). If any dangerous or vicious dog, or dangerous animal is found unrestrained, the owner shall be criminally charged and/or fined $500.00 per violation. (Ord. of 11-14-2000(5), art. DOG PARK RULES: • Always clean up after your dog. • Children under age 12 are not permitted. • Dogs must have current license and vaccinations. • Dogs that act in an aggressive manner must be muzzled or removed. • Persistent mounting or other dominant behavior is not allowed. • Owners are responsible for any injuries caused by their dogs. • Food & toys are not allowed in the dog park. • Do not leave dogs unattended. • Upon entering or leaving the dog park, dogs must be on a leash. • Female dogs in heat are prohibited! • Puppies less than 4 months of age are prohibited. • Running, ball playing, and riding a bike are not permitted. • If a person is bitten by a dog, please report it to Animal Control at 798.7500.

Dog Park Rules • Leash pets at all times outside the off leash areas (NHC Code Sec. 5-4) • Dogs shall wear a collar with owner identification and NHC license and rabies vaccination at all times while in the parks. It shall be unlawful for an owner to fail to provide current rabies inoculation for any dog 4 months or older (dogs under 4 mos. are not allowed in the dog park area). The metal tag shall be securely fastened to the dog’s collar (Sec. 5-5). • Never leave your dog unattended. • You are at all times solely responsible for your dog’s behavior and any damage or injury your dog may cause. If your dog inflicts an injury, give your name and number to the person injured, or other dog owner before leaving. • All bites must be reported by contacting the Animal Control Office at 910-798-6500 (Sec. 5-7). • Acts of aggression against other dogs or people are prohibited. Dogs must be removed if they become uncontrollable. • Scoop and properly dispose of your pet’s waste (Sec. 23-190). • Female dogs, while in heat, are not permitted to use the off leash area (Sec. 5-4). Handlers must carry a leash and remain inside the fenced area within view and voice control of their dogs at all times. • Handlers must fill any holes created by their dogs. • Children under 12 years are prohibited from being inside the off leash area. • Choke, prong, pinch and spike collars are prohibited in the off leash area. • Parks staff have the authority to close the site for maintenance, weather related problems and special events. • Owners who fail to abide by rules and regulations are subject to loss if park privileges
