The Catherine and Holden Corzine Memorial Dog Park Rules
In using this park, dog owners do so at their own risk and agree that the City of Chillicothe is not liable for any injury or damage caused by their dog. Owners are responsible for reading and being familiar with the rules of the park and knowing their dog’s temperament towards other dogs and humans. Owners are solely liable for injuries or damages caused by their dog(s).
1. Dogs over six (6) months of age must be spayed or neutered.
2. Puppies under four (4) months of age are prohibited.
3. Handlers must be fifteen (15) years of age or older.
4. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
5. Dogs showing aggression toward people or other dogs must be removed from the park immediately.
6. Sick (contagious) dogs or females in heat are not permitted.
7. Dogs must be vaccinated against rabies, distemper-parvo (yearly), and bordetella (twice yearly).
8. Dogs must always wear a collar or harness with current rabies & licensure tags.
9. Handlers shall be able to provide current licensing and proof of vaccines upon request.
10. No choke or prong collars allowed.
11. Handlers must immediately clean up after their dog and properly dispose of waste.
12. Limit of three (3) dogs per handler at one time.
13. Handlers must remain inside the fence, and within view and voice control of their dogs.
14. Dogs must be on-leash outside of the dog park and off-leash inside the dog park.
15. Only small (under 25 lbs.) or special needs dogs are permitted to use the small dog park.
16. No dog treats, chews, human food or glass containers are permitted.
17. No dog (or human) toys allowed except balls or Frisbees.
18. No flying devices, bicycles, rollerblades, skateboards, strollers, scooters, or lawn chairs are permitted.
19. No tobacco, alcoholic beverages, illegal drugs, firearms, or fireworks are permitted.
20. No animals other than dogs are permitted in the park.
21. The dog park is open from dawn to dusk.
22. Dog park gates must be closed immediately after entering or exiting the park.
23. No dog shall be left unattended in the park.
