The Newburgh Dog House

Our spot is located right across the road from the beautiful Chadwick Lake in Newburgh! We have 1/4 acre fenced in backyard with regularly trimmed grass. About half of the yard is flat and the other half is on a hill. The hill is great for tiring out your pup! It backs up to a wooded area. There is a deck and a patio with furniture and umbrellas. We provide dog toys that are sanitized between visits. Please BYO water and bowl/container. Hope to have you for a visit soon! Bottomless Smells. 100 acre farm. Lots of space for your doggos and you to roam. It is a rustic magical place. Parking is far from the street down a gravel driveway. Safe for your pup and you to get out of the car. You can park anywhere. If you feel comfortable you can drive down to the lower field to get even further away from the road. I live down the street while I am fixing up the old house. So, there maybe someone at work in the house. Once you park, the best walking is down to the creek. Go to the lower field and look for the opening in the woods. 150yards from field is the creek. On a hot day, wear good creek shoes and walk up and down creek. If you cross the creek there is a great trail that circles around to the Powerline. Warnings: 1. there are lots of deer! 2. There are old barns. Do Not enter any of the buildings! They are very dangerous!!!! I have rescued reactive dogs. I want to create a safe space for your dogs and you to enjoy this great property.

DOG PARK GUIDELINES • Hours of Operation: 7:00 a.m. to Dusk (Hours of operation are subject to change at the discretion of the Parks Department as deemed necessary) • Park Users and Dog Owners assume all risks related to park use • The off-leash dog park is not recommended for children under ten (10) or dogs under six (6) months old • Children must be under adult supervision at all times • Area A – Small dogs (30 lbs or less) Area B- All dogs • Maximum of three (3) dogs per adult • Dogs must be spayed or neutered • Dogs must be licensed and up-to-date with vaccinations • A current license tag must be visible on each dog’s collar • Dogs must be leashed when entering and exiting the off-leash park area • Dogs are permitted to be off-leash in the designated fenced area only and the gates must remain closed • Owners must carry a leash and maintain control over their dogs at all times while in the park • Owners must clean up after their dogs and dispose of dog waste in an appropriate container • Dogs are prohibited from digging and any holes created must be filled in by owners before leaving the park • No dog treats, human foods or drinks are permitted in the off-leash park • No animals other than dogs are permitted within the off-leash park area Dog are not permitted on benches • No excessive barking or noise is permitted • Aggressive and/or threatening dogs are not permitted in the off-leash park Aggressive behavior, dog bites to person or dogs and/or other such incidents must be reported to the Parks Administration office at 615-3830 Monday-Friday during the hours of 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM. All other Orange County Parks rules and regulations and municipal ordinances apply

The Township of Vernon or Vernon Township Board of Education will not be held liable for any injury or damage caused by any dog to any other dog or person within the park. 3. All dogs must have current rabies and other vaccinations as required by the State of New Jersey and wear a current license tag in the park. 4. Dog owners/handlers are responsible for picking up their dog(s) waste and also responsible for their dog’s behavior. 5. No rawhide, treats or food permitted in the dog park area. 10. Dogs under 6 months of age are not permitted. 11. Dog Park is open from sunrise to sunset. 12. Dogs must be leashed when in any area other than the fenced dog park. Dogs must be placed off leash before entering the dog park. 13. Keeps all gates closed at all times. 14. No children under the age of 12 are permitted unless accompanied by an adult. Adult must closely supervise children in their care. 15. For safety of all dogs and visitors, choke, prong and spike collars are prohibited in the park. 16. Alcoholic beverages and smoking are NOT permitted in the park. 17. Stop dogs from diggings. 18. REMEMBER THAT YOU ARE RESPONSISBLE FOR YOUR DOGS AND YOUR SAFETY IN THE PARK.

Poop bags are provided only if you do not have your own. • There will be no attendant on duty at any time. • Users of this dog park do so at their own risk. • The Town of Egremont shall not be liable for any injury or damage caused by or to any dog in this park. • The Town of Egremont is not responsible for injuries to dogs, their owners/handlers or others that use the dog park. • Registered dogs only allowed in the park. • No dog is to be left unattended in the dog park. • Dogs must be on a leash and under control by their owners/handlers at all times outside of the fences of the dog park. • Dog owners/handlers must respect the rights of others to use the dog park by maintaining control of their pets at all times. • All dogs must be healthy, vaccinated and collared with identification, including a valid town license. • Owners/handlers must remain inside, with leash in hand, within view and voice control of their dog(s) at all times. • Limit of two dogs per adult owner/handler. An adult, who is accountable for their behavior and wellbeing, must accompany all children to the area of the dog park. • Dogs in heat and puppies under the age of 4 months are prohibited from the dog park area. • No smoking or food within the fenced area of the dog park (human or dog). • Dog park gates must be closed immediately after entering or exiting the fenced dog park area. • Excessive barking is prohibited. Dogs parking excessively must be removed. • Dogs showing aggression toward people or other dogs must be removed from the dog park immediately without debate. • Owners/handlers must stop their dogs from digging and immediately fill any holes dug. • No play togs allowed in the dog park. • When maintenance is being done on the dog park, no dogs are allowed to be present. Violators of these rules are subject to removal from the dog park and subject to suspension of their rights to use the dog park. Any violations of these rules will require locking the dog park. These rules and regulations pertain only to posted-off leash areas and have no bearing on the present bylaws or regulations concerning dogs on a leash outside of the dog park.
