We have also just added a cloth greenhouse that you can use to stay dry and a bit warmer. There is so many spots of shade from the many trees. A little spot of heaven in a beautiful city.

We host a beekeeper who has about 40 hives on a well-marked and avoidable section of one trail. The bees won't be out until April but please avoid the hives anyway. Our farm is located on 100 acres of beautifully scenic property and we have opened 26 acres of that space for you to explore. Our property is on predominantly flat elevation with trails, multiple fields and roughly 7 acres of forest. While the forest can be dense in spots, it is very walkable and presents a lovely spot to hike through. We have 5 ponds as well as a stream that runs the width of our property and travels through the forest. We have a myriad of wildlife that you may see or encounter during your adventures here. These could include (but are not limited to) great blue herons, muskrats, rabbits, geese, ducks, deer and coyotes. We do have livestock and a guardian dog on the property (they are fully fenced) as well as family pets so please respect their space and ensure your dogs are leashed anytime you are nearing the barn, paddock or barnyard areas.

***Charges are in USD*** We at BHS understand that letting your dog run and play is so important! But some dogs aren't suitable for dog parks or social areas. Our private, fully fenced half acre yard is the perfect place to let your (reactive or otherwise) dog just be a dog and get some freedom! Please check in at the front desk to get the key to the yard, and clean up after yourself. There are water bowls in the yard, but please bring your own water. There are trees providing shady areas throughout the day. If bringing back the key when we are not open, please put it in the Mailbox, located beside our Front Doors. When we are open, our receptionists will gladly take the key back from you! All the fees go directly to the animals in our case, and we are a registered charity and no-kill shelter. Explore a unique piece of history while enjoying the tranquility of large, private, well-appointed land, located next to an original stonework trestle constructed in the 1850s for the Erie Railroad. Your dogs will love wander along the abandoned railroad bed, trekking through the shale-bottomed stream, or relaxing while overlooking the water. While mostly shallow, the stream deepens at points for short swims. Your dog will love the rocks and sticks and playing in the water. The site is approximately 3 acres with a quarter mile marked trail. There are three large tables with plenty of stools, this spot is a great place to have a picnic while your dog plays. The wifi works well here too, well enough to live-stream.

We have plenty of space for running around, playing frisbee, fetch, swimming.. whatever your fur baby is after. We are a small farm, which means we have chickens, ducks and goats. We keep our animals in their coops when fur friends are visiting. ***please note; we require notice at least one day in advance if the animals are to be kept in their coops. Otherwise we let them free range*** The creek has an easy entry location. It’s shallow water at that spot. Deeper water in other areas. Our property is sprayed using a food grade insect deterrent. Plus our chickens free range when there are no dogs around. This means very minimal tick sightings. We have children, so expect some toys around. If you’re bringing children, they’re welcome to play on the play structure. (Pending parental approval and supervision). Plenty of muskoka chairs to relax in while your fur baby plays. The road isn’t right beside the area where fur friends run, however it is accessible from the yard. If you have a dog that’s a flight risk or likes to chase cars, this isn’t the right spot for you. We have lots of dog friends that visit unleashed and listen well to their owners with no issues. Any questions, please ask!

We offer a laid-back, luxury, resort-like setting; open field, lots of grass meadows, xl in-ground dog-friendly pool (seasonal), huge fenced pool deck with lots of natural parkour levels, fenced tennis court, indoor washroom in the poolside cabana house, large outdoor fire-pit etc etc with loads of room for both dogs and their people. Our property is almost fully fenced, with partially fenced areas for both big and small dogs in mind. We provide a water hose and bucket for dog’s drinking. We have several lux seating areas for you and tennis, basketball and lawn games to keep you and the kids busy. For the dogs we have all sorts of fun activities, natural parkour and agility equipment. There is a pooper scooper. We compost waste so no bags needed. Just scoop and put into the provided bucket. Please do not leave your plastic poop bags here. We have no way to dispense of it. Unlimited on-site parking.
