The field is connected to a building that is currently not in use. There is an overhang that covers a small portion of the field for sun shade and weather protection. Please do not drive across the bridge - foot traffic only! I know it’s tempting to explore the surrounding acreage on property, however off leash exploring is NOT allowed in the acreage surrounding the field! Dog Park at North Brunswick Community Park

Township of North Brunswick Community Park Dog Park Rules and Regulations 1. The park is open daily from 8:00 am until sunset. 2. No animals other than dogs may be brought into the fenced area of the park. 3. Owners must provide that their dog is currently licensed and vaccinated for rabies, Bordetella, and DHLP (combination of distemper, hepatitis, leptospirosis and prainfluenza) to acquire a Dog Park Pass. A dog park pass must be obtained for each dog. Current license and rabies tags must be worn on the dog’s collar at all times. Passes are linked to the expiration date of vaccinations. Owners who let vaccinations expire should expect a 48-hour delay from the time new vaccination information is provided to the Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Services until they can use the dog park. 4. Owners must provide proof of spaying and neutering of their dogs. All dogs must be leashed until safely inside the fenced in area. The dogs must be leashed prior to exiting the fenced in area. Owners must have 1(one) leash per dog at all times. 5. Dog owners must remain in the fenced area while their dogs are using the dog park. Owners must be in view of their dogs at all times. 6. Children accompanying dog owners must be strictly supervised and at least 12 (twelve) years old to be allowed inside the fenced area. Spectators should remain outside the fenced area. 7. Owners must immediately leash and remove dogs from the dog park at the first sign of aggression, hostile, or combative behavior. 8. Owners must dispose of waste properly in the designated on-site containers. 9. While small, bite sized training treats are permitted, food in bowls, long-lasting chews, or glass containers are not allowed. 10. Smoking and eating are not allowed inside the dog park. Cigarette butts and food wrappers are tempting and unhealthy for dogs. 11. Sick dogs are not allowed. Owners of dogs with a known sickness or displaying sick behavior will be required to remove their dogs from the park. 12. No more than 2 (two) dogs per person are allowed on any single visit. 13. Puppies less then 4 (four) months old are not permitted. 14. New Jersey State Law requires all dog bites to be reported to the Animal Control Officer at (732)247-0922 ext 259. In addition, owners are required to assist in the investigation of incidents of aggression or biting by providing appropriate identification and information to Police, Parks and Recreation Officials and to other dog owners who are involved with the incident under investigation. Owners are liable for any injury or damage caused by their dog and fully responsible for their dog’s actions. 15. Dog owners who fail to comply with any of the established rules and regulations will be subject to revocation of their dog park pass.

OFF LEASH DOG AREAS GUIDELINES FOR USE All users are hereby advised that the off-leash dog area is an unsupervised recreation area of the Middlesex County Park System. All users are further advised that the use of this facility is at their own risk. 1. Users must abide by all Rules and Regulations Governing the Use of Middlesex County Park and Recreation Lands and must comply with the directions of Park System Personnel. 2. Children under 8 years of age are not permitted within the off-leash dog area. Children 8 years of age and older must be closely supervised by an adult. 3. There is a limit of two dogs per person. At no time should the number of dogs within an off-leash area exceed 20 or the number of people exceed 20. When others are waiting, please limit your use to 30 minutes. 4. Users are responsible at all times for the behavior and safety of their dogs and should be considerate of other users. 5. Dogs with a history of dangerous or aggressive behavior are prohibited. Puppies under four months old are prohibited. Dogs over six months old must be spayed or neutered. 6. Dogs must wear collars displaying licenses at all times and have current vaccinations. 7. Dogs must be leashed prior to entering and upon leaving the off-leash area. Users must remain with their dogs at all times and must carry a leash for each dog at all times. 8. Users must properly secure access gates upon entering and leaving the off-leash area. Once within the area, users must momentarily restrain their dogs when others are entering or leaving in order to prevent dogs from leaving the enclosure. 9. Users must clean up after their dogs. Note: All incidents and injuries must be reported immediately to the Middlesex County Park System a. contacting a Park Ranger Assigned to the park b. calling the Park Ranger office at (732) 745-3800

Rocky Top Dog Park Rules and Regulations Those using the Rocky Top Dog Park should follow the rules and regulations below to keep themselves, their pet and other’s safe at the park. These Rules and regulations are derived from the South BrunswickTownship Dog Park Ordinance Section 82-89 and policies developed for the management of the facility. Thank you! Dog behavior/supervision 1. Dogs must be supervised at all times by an owner 18 years or older. 2. Owners are responsible for their dog’s behavior and any injuries which their dog(s) may cause to other dogs or persons. 3. Instances where a dog bites any person must be reported to the Health Dept. at 732-329-4000, X. 7237 or South Brunswick Police 911. Requirements of Owners/Handlers 1. Appropriate behavior is expected at all times by all persons who use the dog park. 2. Children must be closely supervised by an adult at all times. 3. Users must abide by all directions, orders and commands of any Township official or officer. 4. Glass bottles, food and beverage containers are not permitted in gated areas. 5. Smoking, controlled substances, consuming alcohol except by permit, profanity, recklessness, disruptive behavior, trespassing, and vandalism are prohibited and may be punishable by law and/ or fine. 6. Dog owners/handlers must clean up after dogs. 7. Use sanitary bags provided and trash receptacles for animal waste; use recycling receptacles. Please keep your dog park clean! 8. It is not permitted for a member to allow a non-member access to the dog park. 9. Emergencies, injuries, accidents, vandalism, should be reported to South Brunswick Police Department at 911; (vandalism reports also to dogpark@sbtnj.net). 10. Unsafe conditions or damages should be reported to the Township at 732-329-4000, x7671 or 7260 or email at dogpark@sbtnj.net. 11. South Brunswick Township is not responsible for any lost or stolen items while at the dog park. Requirements for Dogs 1. Dogs must wear a collar with a current license from their town at all times while at the Dog Park. No choke or prong collars inside off leash areas. 2. All inoculations must be up to date including proof of current rabies and distemper combo (DHLPP). 3. Dogs must be 6 months old. 4. Males must be neutered. 5. Females in heat are not permitted. 6. Dogs must be leashed when in unfenced areas. 7. Dogs displaying aggressive behavior must be removed by their handler from the park immediately. 8. Dogs that do not get along: the second dog to arrive must go to a different fenced area of the park. 9. Any dog that bites any person will not be permitted at the dog park. 10. Any food containers, play items, etc, brought to the park must be removed from the park. 11. Dogs must not be fed or given treats at the park.
